I find it lowkey hilarious that both Jason Isaacs and Ralph Fiennes were initially reluctant to accept their roles in HP, but they ultimately did 'cause of their children/nephews. There is a series (available on TH-cam now) called 'creating the world of Harry Potter'. It's the most incredible behind the scenes making of all the movies! I also think you should read the books, there is so much more you get from them than the movies. Also, it's so lovely to see new people fall in love with HP. I grew up with the books so my first time is a distant memory, but watching others experience the world for the first time is almost as good ❤

I remember the anniversary coming out and how emotional I was then. I grew up on Harry Potter. These books were the reason why I learned to read, and they shaped my personality in such an important way.
I still feel incredibly nostalgic whenever I watch these movies or read the books. The anniversary was an emotional gut punch for me. Not just watching all the actors/characters I grew up with again, but seeing how connected they were even after all these years. I felt that too, like meeting a friend again after years, and it's like no time passed at all.
The Harry Potter series will always have a special part in my heart.

Agreed. Growing up with them made it feel like we (the audience as kids) were in the movie, returning year after year to the school of Hogwarts, for each new movie along with Harry and the gang. That's why it holds a special place for those of us who grew up with the movies. We actually were like the extension of the movie, we grew attached to the characters and when they died we cried because to us they were just as much friends and family as they were to Harry and the gang. If you'd like to watch something else where the actors have significant connections with both each other and the fans, and you haven't seen it yet, I'd love to watch you react to the TV Show Supernatural, which I think you'd like - 15 seasons, and the 2 main leads are in literally every one of the 327 episodes; the cast and crew *and fans* are a genuine family. It's been 2 years since the show ended, and the actors still do conventions on a frequent basis, and the fans are still hoping for a reboot or restart. ;)

The dynamic between the trio here and how we see it grow as they do and as we grow with them is what I'm most excited about for the new Percy Jackson show, young actors (hopefully) getting to share multiple years together and build a dynamic, report and connection that translates to the screen

I was five years old when the first movie released (on video tape!) I'd watch it, rewind it, watch it again, over and over all day. I could recite it all in my sleep! My books were so well read they were coming apart. I still have my very tattered, very loved copy of The Deathly Hallows book that I got on release day when I was 11! I was near 16 when the final movie released. I truly grew up with them - the characters, the stories, the universe, the waiting between films. There was a lot of trauma in those years and Harry Potter was my comfort. It felt like home, it still does, and now I'm 28.
I can't think of a more special, pivotal thing to have had by my side growing up. I'll always go back to it. My nieces (7yo and 10yo) have discovered it now and love it. I just love that it's remained such an exciting and lovable world and will continue to for generations!

Daniel Radcliffe is such a versatile actor. Right now he is in a TBS comedy TV show called Miracle Workers. They are on their 4th season right this second. 😇
Daniel Radcliffe is a jack of all trades. He's done horror movies, dramatic stage plays, musicals ( yes he sings and dances, search "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying"), he's done many comedies, romcoms and he's played bad guys. He recently portrayed himself as Weird Al Yankovic in a biographical fodocumentery comedy movie streaming on the Roku channel I think. It's very funny and weird. LOL! There seem to be nothing he can't do.
    🎥🎬🎞📽📺🎭👨‍🎤🕺🎶👍
Just recently he has become a Dad for the first time. He has become an actual father for the very first time. My goodness, have the all grown fast. WOW! 😊

The first Harry Potter came out in 2001 and I was 15 and it was an amazing time for amazing movies. Bawled my eyes out when I first watched this and bawled my eyes out again watching you watch this. Incredibly glad you did, it's such a wonderfully beautiful thing to experience. Watching this after not seeing them for years like you said was such an amazing experience. I remember audibly screaming when I heard they were doing a reunion. So special. Hearing Robbie Coltrane saying the whole "I won't be here, but Hagrid will." and then he passed away not long after this came out, hurt me even more. Harry Potter will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart, despite everything with JK Rowling and blah blah. It meant a whole lot to me and everyone included in it did absolutely phenomenal making this universe come to life. You should absolutely react to Fantastic Beasts! I think you'll enjoy it. 😊

U have no idea how much i cried when hbo announced this reunion. As an introverted child it was so hard for me to blend in my new school when i was in 4th grade . It was so hard for me to make friends .Every single day felt like i was just going through the routine . Then pogo channel started streaming these movies. U have no idea how much it helped me, it gave me confidense to talk to people just like Hermione who had so much confidence even though she couldn't relate to this magic world even though she was a muggle born . Thats what pushed me to make friends. Now I'm still such good friends with my school friends means the credit all goes to hp and Hermione and jk Rowling 😭❤️ also yes to the rewatch alex and also watch the behind the scenes of these movies . Its so good

These books saved me and I know that sounds cringe or cheesy to some, but it's the truth. Growing up, my parents would always fight and it was a very toxic and dangerous living situation I was in, but every time things would get bad at home, I would go into my closet with my flashlight and ear muffs and read Harry Potter over and over again. I would even fall asleep in there. I was 11 years old when the first book came out and it was my safe space. The books teleported me into a different reality and I fully believe that the books protected me at such a young age and into adulthood. Harry Potter will always be a huge part of my life.

Every time I watch the 20th anniversary reunion tears run down my face. It just makes me so sad that the wonderful world of Harry Potter had to come to an end for Daniel, Emma, and Rupert but also thankful that they were able to be a part of something that imo is the greatest Movie Series of all time. No movie lacks production value and consistency as some movie series’s do. Every movie is just seamless. The amazing actors and actresses that we were able to immortalize into this world we all love so much. Makes me so emotional as well. Thank you so much to The Wizarding World to the people’s lives you inspire to spread love, kindness and most importantly friendship to others around them. I am a Hufflepuff Gryffindor, for those were wondering eye associate myself with Gryffindor, but my interests are in Hufflepuff.

This series has played a pivotal role in my life. My dad used to read the books to me as a kid and then I read them to my sister when she was old enough. One of the clearest memories I have of my parents is when we all watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and us all crying when Dobby died. I was also a painfully shy and awkward kid so getting to see that being portrayed on screen was such a big deal for me

  • @logan4005

I was 12 when the first movie came out and I was literally born on the exact same day and year as Daniel Radcliffe so I was going to through these in real time in a couple ways. I was also reading all the books. They were the first books that I actually lost hours of sleep for. I would be reading chapter after chapter as a kid and look up at my clock and think “oh my gosh! I have to wake up in two hours for school!” I read one of the books in two days because it’s all I did.
So, the movies made me really emotional and the anniversary special just destroyed me. I love these people. If I met them, I would feel like they’re my best childhood friends. I’d probably freak them out. Like “hey! Good to see you again!” 🤦🏻‍♀️

I remember watching this Reunion. Very emotional, full of nostalgia and so good to see all these actors and directors (well, never was a big fan of Mister Yates). And yet I was a little disappointed at the end because there was no mention of the music. John Williams gave the films something special: hear the first 8 notes of "Hedwig's Theme" and you'll immediately find yourself in Harry's world!

I got into the Harry Potter series a bit later than most, cause i was 15 when the first movie came out, and i was already deep into Tolkien's work, so at the time i felt like this was just a "kid's movie" and "not dark enough" and stupid stuff like that (like a true teenager). My little sister, with whom i have 8 years age gap, convinced me to start reading the books around 2006-2007, and i'm so glad she did, cause now i love and appreciate both the books and the movies. Actualy it was a mutual kind of bet, we agreed that i would read the HP series and she would read The Hobbit, LotR and The Silmarillion, so i guess we both did each other a favour :)

I, too, experienced Harry Potter later in life - in my thirties, actually. But I always had fond memories of fairy tales, which is what this story is to me. I watched the first two movies and then proceeded to get into the books. While I recommend you read the books, because they flesh out more and more that the movies had to drop as they went on, I'm with you all the way when you say your mind was blown. This story is of a richness rarely found in stories these days and I either watch the movies or listen to the brilliant audiobooks narrated by my favourite stranger Steven Fry at least once a year. It was a joy to accompany you on this journey and I'm always happy to see new content of yours go up. Subscribed and loving it. Feel free to do Austin powers next ;-)
