Joey calling the player to talk about his Rattata is so wholesome. I think it was a way for the developers to remind us that it isn’t all about getting the strongest Pokémon but also making a bond with the ones that mean the most to you. It’s a stark contrast from the mentality that a lot of us had as kids playing Red & Blue. I love that it inspired so many Rattata runs and even the FEAR strategy because everyone wanted to have the top percentage Rattata too 😄 Gen 2 really felt like a more relaxing and calmer experience than Gen 1.
I always have a hard time switching out Pokémon from my team because of being too attached to them. And ever since I was a kid, every playthrough of FireRed (my first Pokémon game), I always had a Rattata in my team just because I like him. Even on my recent playthrough, I decided to keep one in my team.
@Elio Guri actually Eevee decided to evolve into an Espeon because of the fact it didn't want to have the powers anymore because it was a reminder of it's experimentation. It also would be in pain every time it changed unless a stone was used, but that was fixed when Red was given the three unlimited stones by Giovanni.
i'm annoyed because I thought I made up a transforming Shiny Eevee with red eyes, created by Team Rocket. Her name is Trixy, and people who read that part really loves her!

@@psirofireandleopardgamer7821 As you said. It was a side effect of eating the berries. Not really regional variance. But that same island region did have the crystal onix and the swimming rydon.

I want that to be an actual move with 100% power and 100% accuracy and if Magicarp some how knows this, it can't evolve. Thats its only downside. Also also, its typing is typeless
Fun fact about that 'top percentage of all Rattata' It actually is programmed to have an IV (or the gen 2 equivalent of IV's) of 0 in every stat, making it actually the worst of all Rattata.
Fun fact! If you hack the game (my husband did this and I don't remember if it was the originals or HG/SS) to let you catch other people's Pokemon, and catch that Rattata, it actually is coded with perfect IVs.
Imakuni`s Doduo is definetly unique. I am a serious pokemon player, and i have CRAZY rare cards, and i play the spinoff and mainseries games. Out of all my cards, i think the Shining Mew (mew and mewtwo are my favorite pokemon, i collect their cards.) is just BARELY rarer than my Imakuni`s Doduo. The doduo know "harmonize", which is HILARIOUS. "From the moment you use this attack, you must begin to sing a song. (While the song is being sung, the game continues) when the song is finished, this attack does 30 damage." That was the exact sentence, no joke. It also has a "Pokemon Power" (an ability) called Frenzied Escape" it reads: "When this Doduo retreats, hold this card and thow it as hard as you can because Doduo is running away. Throw the card horizantally with a snap to get the farthest distance!" It is a secret rare and reads at the bottom: "This card cannot be used at official tournaments" Oh, and also, as a bonus, i have a Machamp card from the XY evolutions (or whatever the expansion was that released the old-style cards) that is apparently level 67 and has 160 hp. Doesnt sound too odd, right? Well, the machamp has a Seismic Toss that does 120 DAMAGE. think about that. Has super low hp, is level 67, and knows a seismic toss that does 120 DAMAGE. (Any real pokemon players will have picked up on the issues with the machamp by now, so i`ll stp)
What are you talking about, that is the official card? There is nothing wrong that I could find if you are saying that because of Seismic Toss's mechanic in the game(that it does the same damage as the user's level), cards often work differently to the main series games. There is nothing weird with the Machamp you mentioned
Ok, so I don’t mean to burst your bubble, but imakuni’s doduo from XY Evolutions is not very rare when compared to many other cards. I own at least 2 if not 3. If it’s the original Imakuni’s Doduo though, congrats, you have a very rare and valuable card.
