- In this video we will take a look at and unbox & review the new Fashionistas Barbie celebrating Barbies 65th anniversary, with looks inspired by dolls from the past. Today we have number 221 inspired by the original Black Barbie from 1979 and number 222 inspired by Golden Dreams Barbie from 1980. We will try their clothes on other made to move dolls and try to find a made to move skin tone match!

Forgot to mention in the video- these dolls were $10.99 each from Amazon! And I believe 221 uses the 2011 Mbili face sculpt, while 222 uses the Summer face from 2011 as well! ❤
Oh my, love them both. I am in my 60's and remember when the first black Francie was released. People were all upset as Francie already had an identity (at least that was the excuse). I believe that is why Mattel was reluctant to release a black Barbie and came up with Christie instead. Nice to see some things have improved with inclusion. I am going to look for these dolls. You do such wonderful videos !

Awwww that is so so kind of you. And yeah, I hadn’t realized that until it was mentioned in here- but I TOTALLY notice it now on the blonde golden Barbie. Looking at the Black Barbie her head and face looks perfect imo
@@dolls2remember Didn't you say that she was a petite body? I think they just used a head from the. Regular style on the petite body that made the head look so big. Just my two cents...

Great video as always! I'm interested to see what direction Mattel takes next with the Barbie franchise but it's cool to see them pay homage to their most iconic dolls for this anniversary.
I absolutely am loving this direction! It feels so glam and sophisticated and definitely calling back to the glory days of the 70s 80s and 90s Barbie!!

Hello from Connecticut ✨✨ I’m a new subscriber and your channel is so much fun. When I was a little kid I had the original Black Barbie and Golden Dreams as well. They were super glamorous dolls. I’m trying to recreate my collection of Barbies that I played with from the mid 70s until the early 80s and these would be a great place to start.

What lovely dolls. The red dress looks so cute. The gold jumpsuit is only for petite! No! Thanks for showing the fit on MTM dolls. You definitely should do it for Ken videos. Especially the buff Ken’s because I am having trouble finding bottoms and shoes that fit buff Ken’s. Definitely want those clear heeled boots. Do a short fixing Dream girls hair. @@dolls2remember the black barbie is very pretty.....but i hate it when they have the arms in a stiff bent position and you cannot move them....also when you do a head and body swap....do you get rid of the heads on the made to moves who donated their body or do you put them on another doll body....other than that love you and your show.
I'm not sure if Golden Dream Fashionista Barbie has a really massive head or if it's just the necklace she's wearing 🤔

I've been looking for these dolls in the stores but I really don't think they're available so online I'll be ordering from. The afro and red dress is amazing and I can't wait to put her on a MTM body. The gold one is ok but not my favorite
