I also missed out on the entire BFMC Original collection and only got the last one of the collection with the Chanel inspired two piece beige skirt and jacket. Then I got the entire Pink Collection which are all Silkstone. I don’t think the line was as successful and am so glad they returned to BFMC. The second one is stunning. I spent hours screaming on the Mattel forum on the accessories and use of plastic, and lack of rhinestones. Happy they brought normal jewelry back.

Thanks for the great review and congrats on your first Silkstone! She's so beautiful and perfect, I really love the shade of blue they used! That face mould is my favourite for Barbie and I have a vain hope she will escape from collector land into playline world at some point, haha.

Congratulations on your first Silkstone! Personally I only own one that I found on a thrift shop, and I love her. Mine is from an older iteration so the articulation is minimal, but she is so gorgeous that I really don't care. :)

Congrats for getting your first Silkstone! I am still waiting for mine to ship. She looks gorgeous. I have been collecting Silkstones since the beginning and I was sad when they ended , but so glad that they brought her back this year. I especially enjoy the articulated body. For the stand, make sure that the bottom of the stick match up the notch at the base and push all the way in. It is quite secure if you match up the notch from my experience.

@@dolls2remember PS, when you bend the elbow of the articulated Silkstone, make sure you rotate the forearm so it faces the direction of the "bend." There is a right side and a wrong side. It bends one way just like your own elbow.
Push up the sleeves or push down the gloves so you can see if the forearm is facing the right way (front or inward.) Don't try to bend it both ways like other dolls. I have broken the elbows of my Silkstones by bending it "backwards" because I did not check. I wonder if they had fixed this problem with the revived doll. But I doubt it.

LOL I GOT MINE Today! as well lol She came only in the shipper and no outer packaging but still perfect conditions she is my first siltstone I've only started collecting since last summer however Im so exited to pose and photograph her! :)
Oh my god that is so exciting thank goodness everything was OK despite a box around the shipper box she photographed so well! And surprisingly, I was able to get her to stand on her own without the doll stand, but obviously she’s fragile so I had to be extremely careful careful. I can’t wait to see your photographs! Xoxoxo

🎉❤🎉 ....she's so fabulous Grant. I wish she came in amethyst, then I'd buy 😂. She is similar to my ponytail barbies and bubble cuts ,which I have. I get nervous with new dolls 😂 I perfer vintage as I'd mentioned before. But definitely one I'd consider buying.😊 on my stands when loose I put a tiny rubber band to make it tighter. Keep it rolling grant 😊🎉❤🎉XOXO 😊😘

I was kind of hoping you'd cry, but it's OK. LOL How magical is it to just untie the ribbons, and your doll is out of the packaging, with no damage to the fashion you paid for and no plastic tab in the head jingling around? BLISS!

I actually like her. I thought she would be 5 points of articulation like the Silk Barbie I found at this antique store near me.
I really love that she is poseable and has more than just the basic five points of articulation! She is so fun to photograph and surprisingly can stand on her own pretty well even without the included doll stand Xoxox

There are some silkstones that have the forward glance such as ‘tout de suite’, ‘fiorella’, ‘the teacher’, ‘the French maid’ as some examples. ❤❤

The Barbie I have in my collection is the 40 year anniversary Barbie and the stand that come with it I didn’t like it
Yeah, I don’t always love certain doll stands. But thankfully, the doll themselves are always amazing :-) that 40th anniversary one is so cool! I’m glad you have her. Xoxox
