- Today we have a bit of a Target Haul! Let's look at new Barbie Fashionistas number 228 and 229 by Mattel - These dolls represent blindness and down syndrome. We'll also take a look at two new Naturalistas, Liyah and Dayna , by Purpose Toys - and finally the new Disney ILY 4ever I Heart Belle Doll by Jakks Pacific!

About the key thing I’ve been fully blind since I was a baby and my understanding is that all the canes are pretty standard at least in my part of Midwestern America. I have no usable vision, and my cane still has read on the bottom.

@@dolls2remember i’ll definitely let you know how she turns out and in no worries it’s difficult to figure out with Kay lol did they make this down syndrome Barbie a little bit more glamorous? I have the first one and she’s super cute but she’s just in a pretty basic T-shirt dress.
They totally made this new blind barbie very glamorous- with her pink top and purple, glittery, ruffled skirt!! as for the new Downs Barbie- her dress is pretty form fitting, overall a cute day time spring/summer vibe to it. it looks like a light blue jean denim material with the pink stitching and yellow and darker blue hearts and details printed all over. its a very cute look- but very similar to the first Down Syndrome Barbie, to be honest. Not glamorous the way this blind barbie is, in my opinion! hope that's helpful!

My friend got me blind Barbie because I’m a blind collector and I love her. I love that she’s more glamorous this go round like we’ve been wanting for disability representation. I’m gonna give another one to make her into a fantasy princess with a ball gown.
I SO LOVE how glamorous she is!! It is very Barbie- Barbie is known for the heightened sense of style and I do appreciate they gave this doll that same treatment! She is a glam queen 😍 I can’t wait to hear how your princess turns out !

The new blind Barbie makes me very happy! 🥰 My Aunt Lisa, who was born blind, always played Barbie’s w/ me as a kid, so seeing Mattel finally make the first blind Barbie is a special moment. Love it!

I’m buying the vision impair one and name her Alison when I was 8 I had a classroom aide who taught me to read and she became my hero and my aide was vision impaired

All of these dolls are beautiful. 10 years ago this vast array of dolls wouldn't have been a thing so I'm grateful to see how far the doll world has come 🫶🏿

Great haul Grant!! The 2 new barbies are so cute, hopefully I'm getting mine in the mail tomorrow. My target still had them out back on pallets so I had to order them online. The Naturalistas are gorgeous, so in love with the outfits. I'm always on the lookout for the Ily dolls of Snow white because she's my favorite princess. The Belle doll is super cute as well. Thanks for the great video! These dolls are all really pretty and special! I hope the Disney ILY budget dolls come to stores in the UK as we can only get a few of the originals online currently and they're quite expensive.

I love the inclusiveness of fashionistas having a disabled doll. like the down syndrome doll and the barbie with a prostectic leg. Those are the dolls i would now buy and would have loved to seen years ago. I love the addition of the braile on the box. I would have loved to seen a guide dog either separately or as a set tho. I wonder if they styled her in anyway like youtuber molly burke. That is who I could see maybe repainting this doll to look like.
PS they are actually called tag fasteners but nexjen calls them jibbers

Me again :-) just wanted to point out for those who might not be aware that quite a few people who are blind have some vision left so it is a really big spectrum. I happen to be one of the people that does not and has not had vision for my whole life, but most people, who are legally blind and got that way a little bit later in life. So if you see someone and there’s still able to make eye contact with you and they have a cane, it does not mean that they’re faking. That is my PSA for the day thank you for coming to my unwarranted TED talk.

@@dolls2remember it's all good with me. Gave my 1 maxie doll a different look. She is having a baby. I took a cotton ball and cut it in half and taped it on her stomach. Just needed to do something different with my maxie doll. Might do the same to the other maxie doll. Been busy with different things. Had a lot of laundry to get done. It took me all day a few days ago to get my laundry done. I finally finished everything at 9:30 pm. I was so tired from going up and down stairs all day. I ended up falling asleep at 10:30 that night.

The Belle ILY doll as the same face mold as the ILY Ursula doll, but the big difference between them is that the Ursula doll has purple hair. I don't know if the skin tone is the same or different, no one has put them side by side.
These budget ILY dolls still have not come to Canada yet, I hope they come soon!!
