I recently got a consistent 3 stack with my best friend and his gf. I have less hours in the game than my friend's gf, but I am a little bit better than her at the game. My friend is brand new. As much as they drag me down in the ranked grind and in arenas sometimes, I'd still rather play with them than randoms
I love playing solo trios in my spare time. It’s so good to help get your positioning and awareness right. When I started playing ranked, although you do help the team, I still play with the same “solo” mindset and just use my team as distractions. Unless I play with my premade squad, randoms are just bullet magnets. Make the most of them, and play your team to your advantage and you’ll pull diamond and masters relatively easy!

I hit masters for the last four seasons, but this season I have started playing R6 Siege instead. So I’ve only gotten diamond this season. But if your struggling and want masters, now is definitely the time to do it! With the new ranked system it’s ridiculously easy to get points. That’s why half of the high level players have moved on to different games like me. As far as I’m concerned, apex Br ranked doesn’t showcase skill anymore. As you said, you can get to masters (the top rank) by not even shooting a single round. It’s not worth the grind to hit your targets or showcase your skill if it has no meaning anymore.

You forgot the *Wanna be rappers* They blast rap music and beats into the microphone the whole game and try to rap and freestyle so you can’t hear any in game sounds. I was randomly matched with the same two man 4 games in a row today, they were both level 500’s but played like level 30’s. They were some of the worst loot goblins Ives ever played with. They looted the whole game and every time I wanted to go towards a fight they just ran a different direction. They wouldn’t initiate a fight until endgame and when they did they’d immediately go down and then I was stuck fighting 1v3s… it’s so irritating and such a boring way to play, just looting for 10-15 minutes then dying with 70 damage dealt
You can’t hope to be paired with pros. You only need a bit of cooperation, communication, and compromise to make all the difference. It will go a long way. If you all wanna win, you’ll find a way to work those three things out.
Very helpful. I always struggle with teammates, honestly I don't get it. All I do is overextend every fight and then die, but my teammates are never there when I throw myself into a random 1vs3. Very informative, as my teammates have clearly been a huge problem, then complain when I spam ping to get revived. How else could we win
If u are aware teammates won't assist you then just let them igl. No matter how they decide to igl. I never have problems with teammates cause of that reason. I'm a heavy supporter of I have to.
Rather cue solo , in a team your supposesd to support each other rather than being gun-ho, you end up becoming an liability due to you always getting downed in a disadvantaged position and spam pinging is very anoying as it adds to much visual noise
Its your ego causing you to solo 1v3. If you want to move up, you have to set it aside and let them guide you. I just reached Masters season and sometimes you have to follow. Nonetheless, teammates are also very trash with shitty strats. So make sure you find a balance of doing your thing and following.
Bruh it’s not your teamates fault that you throw yourself into 3v1s. If you are soooo good and you teamates are suchhhh a problem then you should play around them. If they aren’t going at as fast a pace as you, slow down. Like bruh
To be fair that’s one of the most frustrating things about playing a game that FORCES you to play with other people. Most FPS and battle royales have a solo mode. Why you may ask? BECAUSE THOSE DEVELOPERS ARENT FUCKING BRAIN DEAD AND THEY UNDERSTAND THAT PLAYING A GAME THAT FORCES U TO PLAY WITH OTHER PEOPLE ESPECIALLY IN RANKED IS A TERRIBLE IDEA. The bad thing about apex not having a solo mode is you HAVE to learn how to play with horrible teammates instead of just learning how to just play your legend and be good with it. And the worst part is that in ranked, they rank you and score you based on how the game turns out over all, they don’t score u individually meaning even if ur good at the game, ur rank suffers purely because ur teammates are awful. Nothing sucks more than struggling to climb ranked just cuz u have a wraith that can’t stay in the game after being knocked or an octane that thinks leaving the party and racing u to every item you see is a good idea. And then the petty bitches that steal things u dibsed. I shouldn’t have to learn how to get around bad players. I should be able to enjoy my game and be ranked and scored based off of my performance alone
My biggest problem with solo queuing is the pub stompers mentality people who don't care that it's ranked hot drop and we just die right out get 3 games in a row lost 36 points cuz they wanna play like it's pubs I want kills too but in ranked I'm more patient about kills and gaining points not trying to look like my favorite streamer trying to drop a 20 bomb in ranked if I wanna go for kills I'll just play pubs I play ranked to climb not lost rp hot dropping I like to think I'm decent at the game but I struggle the most with these types of players most of the time I die with even getting a gun
Yeah people seem to forget that being out of danger is a viable survival tactic and id rather get 100 rp for ratting than -36 for those pointless fights like fighting off drop, going for a fight outside of zone instead of taking a better position, both teammates rush and fight different squads each etc. My last game one teammate dropped solo somewhere else for no reason, the other one died quickly as we were 3v2 and i took down 2 and left the last one with about 20hp All he had to do was punch the last guy and we would be fine but no.. He rushed to "save us" once they all ressed and healed and died instantly instead. I do hope once i reach diamond i start getting better teammates
I completely agree with you nice to see I'm not the only one who feels that way like don't get me wrong I'm not afraid to fight but I'd rather do it at the end where it matters what do you play on console or pc I'm always looking for like minded people to play with

I just hit master solos easily within 2 days of diamond 3 to masters in my streams. My friends joined in and i lost about 600 rp but gained it back solo. Note im a seasoned diamond because i get lazy when i hit diamond this is the first time i ever tried climbing. Also i was always the IGL with the thought of positioning best for ring with the thought of ring, gunshots and teamcomps.
I play on Xbox and Apex Game Chat doesn't work most of the time for me. I just use pin to show useful weapon,Àrmor if I see an team. I try to be a team player.
I usually take charge right away as I’m great at positioning and rotating to the ring, when my teammates listen we usually place top 5 every time. The worst is having to take a back seat to stubborn platinum players trying to lead the team. Usually doing the complete opposite.
i have only a little over 300h of play time in apex, started from plus minus middle of season 11, so i decided to play ranked from season 12 and i have to say its hard (plat 3 at the moment). I dont feel like i could carry a team or win solo against other team. And the most frustrating thing for me is like what to do when you being third partied or lets say any fast pace or end game situation, when you need to find some cover or to surround or attack. Not to mention recoil control, i still cant figure it out how people can spray so casually like it is nothing...
For the past hour or two been on 5 loss streak and it won’t break, i do pretty good but all my teammates won’t stiff rushing like they never played ranked anything before
I consider myself the Igl one but the different is i always ask if there ok with this decision if there not i will ask them what they would rather do and either say that’s a way better idea or suggest why its not a good idea

9/10 I get teammates that run off into a whole squad just after I pinged their location or just run off on their own thinking they’re James Bond when its usually me who spots them and makes them aware not to go there, wait for a rotation, etc. the teammates just go in, get knocked down, then I have to very carefully go and get them a rev/res and ofc in doing so I get obliterated by 4 different squads beaming me from all different directions. This is my average match in ranked. Worst part is, when you get downed in front of your teammates, they don’t even pick up your banner that’s right in front of them when I was saving their ass just seconds ago.This is why I only play the pubs now.

Played some ranked today. I got another for you. 7. When you’re the 1 extra on a team and you get jump master pass or at least think of the team pings. Had 2 hit drop as soon as ship was at land….. they died we got 3rd and 5th battling 3v2 cause they died at drop like a moron.
You forgot about the camp leader/happy camper the player that never wants to push any engagements I was on a squad with a player like this in silver the other day.
I can’t do it diamond Masters lobby and I’m still stuck with dumbasses that just run at everything, die right away, don’t know how to play late game or rotate, don’t know how to hold angles, so on so forth. I more or less go up 300 a day and drop all of it the next

I'm the teammate that doesn't use his mic and I know that's holding me back, but when I play my 2 year old son is usually next to me and he is loud and I'd hate to do that to my teammates. I'm hard stuck plat and can't advance just because I know me not being on the mic is holding me back.

Wow my random teamates are unimaginable trash as they didnt even match any of these people on your list. I'm plat and all my random plat teamate always play like a bronze, they are always in bad positions and when I tell them to move to a much better position they stay where they are and shoot someone 300 meters away with a r99 or something stupid. Another example is that I will go into a battle knock 2 and crack 1 and my team who have full health with level 3 shields cant even 2v1 them and it makes me think how do these people make it to plat at all let alone gold

It’s only one thing if you tell them where to go and which squads to push, it’s another if they’ll actually listen to you.
The dynamic duo is my favourite. I can play at damn near any pace so I'd rather follow a plan and read ahead.

2:05 "Your team is aware of what's happening" well I don't spam ping but I HIGHLY doubt that. They never heal, revive or take cover.
Nobody, I mean nobody, needs spam pings let alone from the person that got their shit rocked.
To the duo one, just keep putting up good coms and be useful usually eventually they turn on open mic when they realize you ARE a competent player

Played some ranked today. I got another for you. 7. When you’re the 1 extra on a team and you get jump master pass or at least think of the team pings. Had 2 hit drop as soon as ship was at land….. they died we got 3rd and 5th battling 3v2 cause they died at drop like a moron.

I can’t do it diamond Masters lobby and I’m still stuck with dumbasses that just run at everything, die right away, don’t know how to play late game or rotate, don’t know how to hold angles, so on so forth.

Dude the people complaining about a mic need to get friends. Half the time unmute my mic to say, “80 on purple almost cracked” and they take as a invite that I want conversation. No fool I don’t wanna die as I was just at menu 5 Minutes ago FOCUS!!!
I'm the teammate that doesn't use his mic and I know that's holding me back, but when I play my 2 year old son is usually next to me and he is loud and I'd hate to do that to my teammates. I'm hard stuck plat and can't advance just because I know me not being on the mic is holding me back.

Sometimes i leave my teammates but not so far.. because their keep looting and looting . Especially when i open my ult.. their like forever in black market.. omg!
I get queued with a Duo who wont switch to game chat and then they do a dumb push and get destroyed and flame me for playing my life.
Worst part is that most of the time there's actual 0 communication apart from the one enemy ping now and then ;(

Wow my random teamates are unimaginable trash as they didnt even match any of these people on your list.
I'm plat and all my random plat teamate always play like a bronze, they are always in bad positions and when I tell them to move to a much better position they stay where they are and shoot someone 300 meters away with a r99 or something stupid.
Another example is that I will go into a battle knock 2 and crack 1 and my team who have full health with level 3 shields cant even 2v1 them and it makes me think how do these people make it to plat at all let alone gold

Also duos that I meet frequently don't res me or have my back, so most of the time I dislike seeing duo queues. I was left behind bleeding out with no enemies to end me and they didn't even try to res me they just ran away lmao, and it's only the first ring

people in Platinum rank are so bad... every game these randoms say lets fight everyone and just dies instantly.. alot of duos just do their own thing and goes 2v3 and dies.. no ping no communication
