Hey I'm just learning how to draw in perspective
You said these words in your beginner elipses video "auxillary vanishing point thats off on an angle" could you make a video about that :D ?

the speed and accuracy 👌I have to get better at drawing without setting up the horizon and vanishing points. I can to some degree, just need to work on it even more.

    Hi Spencer,
Thanks for dropping the usual knowledge! Haven't viewed in some time and am now questioning if I am using the right paper for my sketches... Is Copic marker paper what you tend to use for most of your videos?

    Nice video Spencer!
Last week I went to a conference where a graphic designer\philosopher spoke about Design and how nowadays we live in a "cupcakes' shop" where every shape is soft, continous, has pastel colors... even it seems all sketches have been some by the same person as they are all alike.
What opinion do you have about this comment? Are we living in this "cupcakes' shop"? So, focusing in Sketching and since you are a professional in this issue, what do you think? Maybe should we try new Sketching styles?
Thank you for your time! Everyone is invited to give their opinions.

hi.... logically what he is saying can't be correct. all people have their different styles and artistic views, and different types of design ( for example "new" old fasion furnature) will inherently not follow the pastal colours or rounded style. i think he is noticing a trend for certain designs and he is not wrong, the trend is very "cupcake shop" but eventually this trend will finish and move on to a new trend in design, say somber colours and straight sharp lines.... im not a designer and this is just my opinion, but i don't think you can really generalize about design.

ps: just take a look at this video and you will notice it doesn't follow the "cupcake shop" trend (even if it was in colour markers it would be black, grey and possibly a deep blue or red for the watch face)

+Miguel Estepa I disagree and agree somewhat. I think sketching is inherently personal - you put your touch on things. If anything, technology can homogenize design when your imagination is limited by the capabilities of the tool.
