As a Yankee fan I’ll never forget this , I don’t blame Pedro
So was Pedro supposed to let Zimmer hit him? Never understood people getting mad at Pedro for defending himself.
Come on man, he is a professional athlete, he could have easily stepped aside and Zimmer would have missed him by a mile. He didn't have to throw him down. But I am glad he regrets it and acknowledges it's a blemish on his record.
You don’t run up on people after the age of 7 w/o expecting consequences lol
@@randy5248 he was an old man running aggressively toward a rival player, what do you expect? things like that happens quick so there is no time to think much, People like to grab any negative shit, to talk more shit
@@randy5248 no he should have bitch slapped him…..let him know you don’t run up on a playa like that
Lol these ppl defending throwing an 80 year old man to the ground. Even the person that did it, looking back on it, regrets it.
Bruh whenever I see the clip of Pedro grabbing him by the head and throwing him down I can't help but laugh my ass off. Zimmer deserved it, Pedro put him down gently lol
Pedro: “it’s time for a nap grandpa”
Dave Chappelle talking about this story was hilarious
When??
The only baseball player to use the bathroom and be victimized by a geriatric afterwards.
I love this series so much
KEEP UP THE BASEBALL PLAYERS. LOVE THE SERIES!!!
Classic Pedro. I’m glad they brought him on here to break down what happened back then lol
Nice content! I love pedro, bring more MLB players or personalities
Edgar Martinez getting the respect he deserves. Near unstoppable at the plate.
When you do commentary like Pedro does, it really humanizes him and you don't really see him as an enemy on the opposing team anymore, especially after they're done playing. Like I'm sure plenty of Yankees fans absolutely hated David Ortiz. But after you see him in the studio going back and forth with A-Rod in a playful way, you kinda get over it a bit.
They are all humans being which got the opportunity to get well paid to hit and catch a ball, nothing more, sometimes people takes thing personal, that's just ignorance
@@Wolverine8091 The Yankees/Red Sox rivalry was a pretty heated one though. Not so much anymore because of waning interest on baseball, most of the players from those teams are gone, and basically the Yankees have done almost nothing for 20 years to even make it a rivalry. Red Sox clearly the better team since about 2003 on.
@@aznnp77 now the Yankees are back and redsox can’t keep up
This is so true! lol couldn’t stand any of them back in those day
Im so happy Pedro threw Zimmer. I'm sorry to admit it. You did that for all of us Pedro.
get some professional help
@@Motoko1134 I get regular massages from your wife and mom. 💆♂️
We just can't enough of Pedro, man! He is a genuine person.
Great series but it should be longer
Mas I love having the baseball players one bro, keep them coming.
You know what's next. Time to get Jorge Posada or Don Zimmer on the show.
Don Zimmer is dead can't get him
Yea Jorge posada would be interesting
The animations kill me 😂😂 especially 3:15.
Pedro! ⚾️ 🔥 👏🏽
It's funny how he feels terrible about it... but it's one of the main reasons I love him!! LOL
We LOVE Pedro in Boston.
Pio’s dad pullin up to the function
Pedro never “threw him down”. He ole’d a charging angry gerbil and the old man went down mostly on his own. It was jiu-jitsu
Pedro el grande!!!! One of the greats
Pedro really didn’t do anything wrong - Don went after him first
Fenway Park still had the .406 club in 2003, no banners up there, either.
I always wanted to watch full game of game 3 but it's cracked me up
last question by Master tesfatsion:
best fans in baseball?
Pedro:Boston
Video over...
Pedro forgot to mention that the reason posada and Zimmer both popped up and started yapping was bcuz when Pedro pointed at his head and said are you crazy, they thought he was saying, I'll throw at your head next time.
Pedro is my favourite player of all time
OH ! & Y’all Did wit this MLB content . It’s about time 🗣🗣
Zimmer old enough to charge a player..then he old enough to get his ass tossed….Pedro got to much heat for this…would be different today thats for dam sure!
Pedro is the best Boston pitcher of all time !!!
I'm a Yankees fan until I draw my last breath, but yeah, Zimmer got what was coming to him when his old ass tried coming at Pedro.
The way I see it, had Pedro got out of the way, Zimmer falls even harder and gets injured. Pedro helped Zimmer out by blocking him a bit, and then pushing him down. Newton's law. Science baby!
Pedro is so victim blamed it’s a shame . Yes it was deserved , but he’s not wrong nor is he right . Manny should be blamed for crying about a ball nowhere near him .
Let’s go Red Sox
Seriously tho what the hell was Don thinking? 😂
Y’all did zimmer wrong 😂😂😂😂
I think the real question is why did zimmer rush pedro? This would have never happened if a 70 year old bench coach didn't rush a 32 year old pitcher, its just common sense
Zimmer cried and apologized right after the game. He knew what he did was wrong.
I remember I was a teenager in dominican republic, when pedro was pitching for the Mets i was such a fan of pedro that I went to a sport betting location near my house and I bet 50 domincan pesos on pedro martinez to win that game but he lost the game and I got depressed from that 😂 that was like maybe 1 or 2 dollars back then
Eat the pencil Andrew
Im a yankee fan,But I have much respect for pedro.
I never blamed Pedro for what he did to Don Zimmer. Shit he could of and should of 2 piece him but, he tossed him
There’s no crying in baseball, if they want to cry let them cry
Man he looks older than 50
Agreed I thought he was 60 years old
Manny did no wrong
The pitch was no where near close to hitting his head. He ignited the brawl but Pedro did no wrong throwing down Zimmer. He charged and got thrown down.
Don Zimmer da man
If you are a very old, very out of shape, very feeble man, what the hell are you doing charging a man that can knock you out cold with a slap to the jaw?! Very respectful of Pedro to lay him gently on the ground when he could have very easily punched him in the face. What a stupid move from Zimmer. Never understood what he was thinking he was going to achieve by charging him? Then people got offended by what Pedro did without blaming the idiotic old man who incited it. BTW, I’m a New Yorker. Mets fan but still…
Who’s your daddy
Greatest pitcher ever! Dominated the steroid era!
To dominate is great, but Pedro OWNED the steroid era 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@homartorres6851Jeter, Posada, Williams and Matsui owned him.
Man Pedro wasn’t wrong for defending himself zimmer was dead ass wrong no matter of the age he was you don’t charge at somebody with the intentions to cause harm to them .
Everybody did Pedro dirty on this one. Zimmer attacked him All he did was curve him he coulda smashed him and everybody painted him as the asshole.
This entire brawl was on both Karim Garcia and Manny Ramirez for overreacting to mistake pitches. Neither Pedro nor Clemens had any reason to throw at hitters in the 3rd and 4th innings when the game is within a run or two
Zimmer lucky anyone else would've done some damage😂
First
A young man is never suppose to push or hit a elderly man
I don’t believe Popeye would throw a punch. I have even less respect for pedro now after hearing his b.s. Hell of a pitcher but looks to be a jerk even more. Just own it say your sorry. This apology put the blame on zimmer. That’s sad.
Sad? Wtf dude!
Pedro wasn't even around the brawl. What the hell was Zimmer doing rushing into Pedro? What was his purpose, to interchange phone numbers?
Don't act a fool!
I wouldn't let anyone touch me by any means, not a 5 yo boy, not a 72 yo old man.
