- Picked up a 60/40 split bench seat for the Taco to replace the terrible bench seat. New bench seat was purchased on Ebay and came off another 2003 Tacoma. Seats are in mint condition. Stay tuned for Part 2. Enjoy the video!
I’ve been trying to look for some like these that are also direct fit, I also have a single cab. You said those seats came off a 2003 but was it a single cab? Or ext cab?
So I believe all the single cab Tacos like mine have the single bench so you have more space. The 60/40 should be from an extended or double cab (one of those models) they are a lot beefier in there now and seam just a bit higher but I really like them and really comfortable compared to what was in it lol

Do you mean taking the bolts off or taking the seat out of the truck after the bolts have been removed? I have a part 2 to this video that I show removing the bolts. But once you remove the bolts the seat just slides out of the truck pretty easy through the door. Check out part 2 if you haven’t yet? Lmk if it helps or any other questions feel free to ask. GL

Yeah I hear you! I got real lucky with these on EBay they popped up and were super clean. I had bought 2 bucket seats before cheap but they were in terrible condition. Good luck hope you find some 🙂
From what kind of truck is that 40/60 seat?
The seats are off another 2003 Tacoma so it was a direct fit.
Where did you purchase these seats
I found them on eBay, they were way more money than I want to spend but they were in great condition. I even bought seat covers so I don’t mess them up haha
Been thinking of this myself. But I just had to comment on how you own this taco and an s2000 and I own an 02 taco single cab as well and an 04 s2000 😅 great combo 😁
O snap!!! Hell yeah dude great combo for sure. Also funny how your Taco is one year older than mine and your S2000 is one year younger than mine lol. Mine are both 2003s lol

I really like the 60/40 seats you put in and I can’t find nothing online right now but will wait and hope something comes up, but I was wondering… I have a subwoofer box behind my current bench seat like the one you took out, I’m 5.7 in height and was wondering if you think this 60/40 seat takes more space then the bench seat? Otherwise with my subwoofer box I’d be pushed closer to the steering wheel which would make it a bit of an uncomfortable driving position.
Hmmm I know I definitely sit a bit higher and the seat back is definitely thicker than the be ch seat was. I think you might still be able to fit it but it depends how thick it is. If it’s really thick it will be tough. What about putting it behind the pass seat? Like that they sit closer and not you 🤣
@@sdoismil I appreciate the insight but my box takes up the length of the back of the truck so it uses the space behind both driver and passenger side. I’ll definitely do my research on measurements before I buy something if I find them.

Hey what’s up!? Tires are 215/75R15 I’m looking to get new tires maybe before winter and might pick up some 235/75r15 instead 🤙. Wheels are 15x8 steelies not sure on backspacing though I bought these probably close to 10 years ago for my Honda CRV at the time lol

@Gmg8nq hah thanks! It’s a fun and reliable lil truck! What year do you have! Same gen? I personally like smaller wheels and a bigger taller tire on trucks/SUVs. But I did contemplate on slamming it and throwing some wheels on it haha
@@sdoismil me too bro . I wanna say the year u have . I have a 2003 toyota tacoma single cab. Ur interior is just like mine . I have it all stock so I decided to add some simple wheels and maybe lifted 2inch all around
