- I am really enjoying these protrek models. This is the prg-650y-1 “night safari” with glow in the dark strap. Yeah I know it’s like a child with a neon glow bracelet, I don’t ever want to grow up.
I have the Protrek “black titan” used it every day this week. These pieces are keepers!
Never knew of this watch until l saw your video and l really like it. So l have one coming this week, l can't get over the band, it's amazing. Thanks Rob!

I just got my Protrek with them Arabic numerals. Really love it. Thanks Rob, for bringing it to my attention. I have to say I've been wearing it a lot daily for work and things that I might not want to wear an expensive watch. It's a great all around watch.

Funny thing this watch journey we all take. I have box full of beautiful autos and have been wearing my dw5000 and a frogman as of late. Love the go to, always set, and ready to abuse wear-ability they offer. They have got me really wanting a Breitling Aerospace Evo! I think I may kick the frogman for one of these protrek models in the meantime! Thanks for sharing Rob!

Wow I thought you got a 650YBE3 for $199 and I was gonna cry; it’s been discontinued and I couldn’t find it anywhere for less than $350. I love my 650YBE3 on the fabric camp band, super comfortable and as I’ve said before this watch has the best illuminator I’ve seen.
You and minit watch do the best lume shots! Relative time does pretty good as well.

Both good watches I have had Citizen eco bracelet watch for 19 years and wanted another BM8180-03E but as the strap is too short I went for a Casio added 2 more Casio's to my collection this month.
I first saw this watch in this video and couldn’t get it out of my head for the last few days so I literally just bought the last one on sale that I could find 😂 thanks for that! $350 poorer. Well worth it!

Cool, I also have one of prw-6100 series, and it's a black one, the reason I chose the black watch is that you can wear it on formal occasions though it's designed for outdoor activities. Mostly, I use it do hiking or trekking, the initiative purpose buying this one was for a journey to the Himalayas and climbing Everest, I may not be able to make it to the tallest peak, it's something I always dreaming of.

Have not tested them. I can start to play with them and see what deviation they may have. They all can be changed some I think as well.

Great looking watch, but why doesn't Casio use screw down backs. The plate back gives it a cheaper look. This goes for all Casio watches.
I know this video is a couple years old but I noticed you said you bought it on ebay. I found a casio pro trek im in love with and it's near impossible to find anywhere except eBay and they are all shipped from Japan. how would I know it is authentic? were you worried about buying a fake on ebay? thanks

When you depress the light to illuminate the hands does it shut off in about 2 seconds regardless of how long you depress it?
It says the case diameter is 52 mm. Is that right? If so, it's huge! It wouldn't possibly fit on my wrist. Most watches have a case diameter of 40-something mm.
Casio's are different... Try a couple on if you can at a shop. They're meant to be large and because they're light they're very comfortable 👍

I am sure over time it could cause wear. But straps can be replaced, guessing it will last many years either way.

I don't get it. These things are insanely pricey for what they are. Does anyone actually manually log barometric data to interpret incoming weather? Very complicated watch that I think offers more features than its customers will actually use.
I recently purchased a Ball Engineer III Ohio Automatic watch, Black, 40 mm, NM9126C-S14J-BK.
I have new admiration for Ball. Definitely a class above many renowned watches. Too bad the Holy Trinity does not want to include Ball, however I will give him this category in my humble opinion, because for a watch expert, I would say that Ball is up to Patek Phillipe along with Vacheron Constantin and Breguet. This new acquisition in my humble collection, is a beauty that has many forms and with extreme expressions of beauty and is called Art! Therefore, Ball is my favorite of the Big Four, and based on general impressions and value for money.
Although the only "detail" is a bit thick for my taste and although the thickness of the box is not perfect in this model, although it has an attractive appearance.
As the owner of a Patek among other fine watches, I must say that Ball is easily compatible, if not superior, to the Patek in some aspects ...
My Holy Trinity has Patek at the top, but not necessarily Vacheron Constantin or Breguet as a second level ... I think Ball fits better.
They attract me like honey flies. Not only are Ball's watches beautiful, they represent the height of watchmaking development. Congratulations !!!
For example, people make me smile when they say the Rolex watch is better. "Yes, it can look better ...", but technically speaking there is a big gap between a Ball watch and a Rolex.
We must also remember and that you can not forget the luminescent tubes used by Ball, these are in my opinion the best tubes that have been applied to a watch. They offer a higher and more resistant luminosity - an intensity 100 times greater than that of traditional luminescent paints - which can last up to 25 years.
Honestly, if there is anyone who is in doubt when buying a Ball, I encourage you to opt for this formidable brand called Ball.

Nope, I'm not into it... I've got a Pro Trek PRW-3500 orange... Very cool wrist watch awesome presence, Big number dial reading, high legibility than my G-Shock... But some issues I can't help with my pro trek.... too easy to scratch, too light metal (alumunium or something) just feels hollow & cheap, crap rotating bezel (too loose no click), and the rubber/ resin strap getting worse (harder/ ridgid than my Rangeman GW-9400)... I'd like to add my G-Shock line, more comfortable, more rugged, in the same range prices...

I learned absolutely nothing about this watch, it’s capabilities, uses or even reasons to have it.
I have the prg-600 and the multi band is over rated. also the altimeter is complete garbage on this watch.
