Hello Scott, Your narriatives light up my evening even if there were no salt lamp. I admire the way you tailor your dwelling space to suit your needs. When your happy its enough and its adequate. What do you care if someone in Saginaw or Dog Patch fail to appreciate your nest? Its yours. Thankyou for good audio and video content. Its always uplifting and interesting. ❤
Loved this video as well. I have to confess that sometimes i fall asleep with your videos cause you have the most angelic, most soothing voice EVER. But then i wake up in the morning, send the kids to school and watch it all over again to see what I’ve missed 🙃❤️
I'm sor amazed despite your electrical knowldege that you have the ability to recycle or change this light.. Most of the time, people toss an item like this in the trash. For our world to continue we need to see things how they are and fix them if we can.
I love your videos and your quirky sense of humor ( like my son’s. )Just want you to know that I am one of those people that do watch your videos till the very end and I’m sure there are a lot of viewers that do. I never know what you are going to say or do but it’s always informative and simple and interesting. That’s the quality Mr Roger’s had. He would take the simplest thing and explain it’s function and use and kids would sit their mesmerized hearing his low monotoned voice and descriptions. Keep the videos coming . This from an Oregonian who loves the Pacific Northwest.
S.C.V. SIR I REALY LIKE HOW YOU WIRED THAT SALT LAMP TO YOUR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, THATS WHAT DREW ME TO YOU YOU MAKE THINGS FIT YOUR WAY YOU REALY CREATED A FANTASTIC! VAN SET UP SIR
I have to say Simon, your van strikes me as on of the most versatile yet coziest vans that I have seen on TH-cam. great job Thanks for sharing and GodBless
Hey Scott, yes I watched the whole video lol. I find your voice calming and relaxing. I'm not a coffee drinker but I even watch those videos when I need to hear a calming voice lol. I had people tell me how I should do things in my van too but I didn't listen to them either. They don't live in my van so their opinions don't matter. Have a wonderful evening ❤
Very interesting. I was given a larger pink salt light a few years ago, and really haven't used it a lot, and never knew the reasoning of it. Now I do! You explained it very well. I'll give it try. 😊
I never heard of a salt lamp. Every time I watch one of your videos I see another cool thing to keep my eyes open for. I love watching your videos and listening to your soothing voice. It's quite cal.........zzzzzzz 😊😉
I like how you change up your lighting. You've lighting when those chat like talks with the blue lighting. Lighting that you cook by. Then here now lighting for your evening and relaxing times. Very neat! ...then the lighting whereby it is you the light as it were by lighting up many of our lives with these talks of yours. Sweet Moments and evening to you Static. ~~Connie here 🌄🙋♀️☕🌌
Leaving the wiring exposed defiantly makes it easier to change/repair, so good call on that. You might watch the LED light, when you hit a bump the single magnet "may" not be enough to hold it. And yes I did watch it to the end, even the ads. I enjoy your videos.
Hi Scott I put a new watch band on my watch lol cleaned a few things and read a book 🤷🏻♂️nice lamp I’m gonna get one. Be safe ✌🏼I have a lava lamp that I LOVE looks great in the dark👍🏻Scott I spray painted some of my LED bulbs because it was to bright white!
I’m happy you switched out the LED. I had migraines and sleep problems (this is how I found you) with LED everywhere in my home. Incandescent light bulbs can’t be sold in CA so I have to order on eBay but I switched out all lights in my bedroom. They are so expensive now but it’s better for your health. Those LED bulbs emit way too much EMFs. Sorry I’m a neurotic scientist when it comes to radiation.
Not to change the subject (but I guess I am), I tried Yellow Bird serrano last week for the first time when my local Albertson's had it on sale for $3.99, regular price $7.99. I liked it so much I went back this week and stocked up, buying 4 more bottles at the same on sale price. Thanks for the tip.
Hey good morning Scott. Waking up eary today so whats better than having a coffee and watching Mr. Scott doing some diy projects? After watching till the end, congratulation, it came out fine the new light concept looks more cosy now. Silly comment, maybe you could reuse the ripped out LEDs and the unused switches of your switchpanel and the (maybe) leftover cable to install the LEDs in new and different places and wire them individually to the switchpanel (or in two groups of two) to add to a flexible lighting system where you can switch one or more lights independently to match your mood or requirements even more flexible and reusing already available material. I have different single lights in my vehicle since a few years and really use very often different lights or groups of lights for reading cooking, cleaning or watching movies, just an idea. Thanks for your video and have a great day.
I like that the exposed wiring makes it easy to trace when you want to modify or add stuff. The salt lamp is beautiful. Now I will go make myself a cup of coffee. Thanks for sharing your days.
I always wondered if you're salt lamp was real Scott, great to see a video about it at last . I also have one in my van so you've given me some ideas 💡 hope you are well friend, absolutely loving your videos 🚐🤟🤟😁💡💡🙏👍🤔💯💯
Hi Scott, I haven't read all the comments so there's probably someone who already suggested using a dimmer switch for your overhead lights. That way you can dim it down to how you want it or brighten up for when you need it.
❤ Good Evening Scott 🌌🌛 Like your little Salt Lite! This thorws a little heat ,it will take off the Humidity a little! Thee other lite is a Good Utility lamp, good for laptop,or washing dishes, because you can ajust to different areas! Awesome if it runs off of Solar! Love to watch your Adventures 👍 Have a Good Night 😴💤🌌🌛
Incandescent are best on the eyes but outlawed last year by the administration. I order them online now from out of the country. I've always admired your salt lamp & how you figure out how to fix stuff.
I know it's been a few days now since this video.. but I do hope you're paying attention to the CA weather coming up.. Tons of rain.. and wind to the south with flood warnings. Please do be careful. Crazy Times.
Hi there scott I appreciate watching you fix things on & in your van I have a lot of respect for the things you take on. Building that new bed was a gem
We recently changed our kitchen cupboard undermount lighting to Dals Color temperature changing LED lights. I love them because we can make the lights a warmer tone.
The bulb burned out in my salt lamp and I may have broken it when I tried to replace the bulb. I hope to get another one. It’s great that you are so handy & able to fix things! Your voice and your manner is very calming. I love listening to you, so, thank you for sharing.
I use the Flashlight on my old Cellphone for soft lighting.... I just turn it on & set it on a table & it Luminates the room... Your Salt lamp looks nice.... Thanks....
Great video. I bought a couple of Himalayan Salt lighted baskets several years ago. They claimed to also be great for pets with healing, calming and anxiety reducing properties. They did give off a relaxing glow around the area. They also blanketed the area in a fine white powder. Keep an eye out for that, just in case it is like mine
OK, here's your silly comment. The wiring job that you wouldn't show, I always call it spaghetti wiring. Now you got me thinking about spaghetti. Guess what's for dinner? Those are the perfect kinda rainy day projects... Thanks for the vid Static!
LUV these videos..................... one day I plan to travel in a van ................... a Chevy Express van extended ................ 302 like ................
Hello no criticism just a reminder love the lamp project you completed but if the lamp bulb ever burns out unexpectedly it's because the oils in you fingers and hand contaminated the bulb next time use tissue or paper towel to hold the bulb nice lamp 💡 😅
Regarding the salt lamps, they can release alot of liquid, depending on the temperature and humidity. I had no idea and, luckily, my furniture was not ruined. Everyone should know not to place a salt lamp directly on furniture.
Oh rats…😂! I did learn that a salt lamp actually draws moisture…I have two that I do t use..I’m going to start….also I’ve have started my coffee quest..I as in Waco today and found a unique coffee shop..so fun…
Sometimes, it's best to toss broken things in the garbage. This appears to be one of those times. Incandescent bulbs waste electricity, space, weight, generate heat, and can be fire hazards. A light that leaks salt water is a new one to me though. But you do you. I did watch until the end.
It’s a 4 watt bulb. If it were running all day, it would be drawing too much current. But I think my system can handle a quarter amp for a couple hours a day
We need more gentle people like you in the world, quietly going about their lives. That’s why I watch.
Scott for President!

I thoroughly enjoyed watching until your "I really appreciate it." You're my favorite TH-camr.

Another great video! 👍🏻 Thanks, Scott! I have salt lamps all over my apartment; I much prefer their warm glow to harsh overhead lights.

13:57 it would be worth documenting what the type of bulb is so you can order them online when you aren’t able to locate them irl.

Good job on the lamp. I agree build the van to suit your needs. Tfs😊
Nice video Scott😊
Right ON Scott!! I Love watching you do electrical projects! 😺💜
Awesome as usual. You rule.
It's always cool seeing your ingenuity when modifying the van the way you like it!
Yay, McLendon's! Woodinville.
I like the submariner approach too. Everything exposed for easy access and repair!
I have 3 salt lamps...good job Scott!❤
11:08 the incandescent bulb should help with the drips as well, when it is on the water will evaporate instead of running down the lamp.
That was my hope but the lamp doesn’t get warm enough to provide any real heat
I really like the size of that salt lamp. Cool that you’re getting more light from it too. I also prefer defused lighting in the evening. Cheers!

Good afternoon. Nice little salt lamp. I enjoyed the entire video. 😂

Tks for showing.

It's only Home Sweet Home if it's to your liking not theirs. Have a good evening. 😊
You could add an on/off switch next to the lights you want to turn off, so in the morning you could have them all.
I've got one just like it. My house is so humid, salt gets all over my bedside table!
Regarding the salt lamps, they can release alot of liquid, depending on the temperature and humidity. I had no idea and, luckily, my furniture was not ruined. Everyone should know not to place a salt lamp directly on furniture.

Hey Scott, if that bulb is heating up then it’s more than likely pulling more current then that led you replaced. Just keep tabs on power consumption.
It’s a 4 watt bulb. If it were running all day, it would be drawing too much current. But I think my system can handle a quarter amp for a couple hours a day
I switched to light roast because of you. Lol.
I switched too. Scott is right about his coffee beans.
No crazy comment here. Just one for the algorithm. Cheers.
Most Car light bulbs are 12 volt may be able to find somthing that will work if you must change the circuit.
