How close to the base station are you when swapping batteries? If your a distance away from it the rc will not detect the station for linking. You may just need to be closer to the station for it to reconnect. Secondly the module on the drone only retains power for about 90seconds. So make sure your changing batteries quickly once drone is powered off
@@kitcarlson572 only about 50m from base , definitely swapped batteries and rebooted within 90s. Was the first 3 flights out of the box with a new t40. Maybe the internal standby battery is not yet sufficiently charged ?
You mentioned using a coaxial cable, what size cable would that be?

Our t40 does not retain rtk connection to the DJI drtk2 station between battery swaps. Any tips ?

@@ColinGATEasttry being closer to the drone. Like within 20ft radius and see if that changes anything.
What size SIM card does the controller need.
Controller does not require a SIM card. If you need internet in the field we recommend using a hot spot
