I said it 10 years ago that drones were coming to agriculture. And this is just the beginning.
Tx for this video. Really very helpful and I appreciate the time you put into this so that people like me can learn. From South Africa!
Thanks for the video. The land in US looks so nice. Happy to learn that the batteries can be exchanged during re-filling, even thought 65% balance, which is healthy for batteries' span. Well done, thanks again.
Great presentation. Thanks! Geez ~ It feels almost like playing video games while doing farming. What a wonderful life. we are really living in the future!
Wow! Just Wow! Hello from Phoenix, Arizona. Believe it or not they do do some farming out here in the desert cotton fields and alfalfa feels I don’t know if they’re using drones or not because it’s a good way from my house and I never go out there, but I remember when I was learning to fly one of our practice areas over a lot of farming fields. Thanks for making these videos. I love technology, drones, and aviation.
@@mehoff88 typo your comment made me laugh!
I were planning to buy a tractor mounted sprayer which is at present more prevalent in our country India but after watching your presentation of DJI T40 /T50 I have changed up my mind , its a wonderful device for the young generation farmers, I dont know the price but if it would be in my reach I shall definitely go for it .
Available in banglore xboom sprayers
The most interesting part is when they used drone to supply construction equipment to remote area or hill area where human and truck have hard to go,it's impressive.
Super video! What generator are you using for charging?
I swear DJI is still hands-down the best drone company in the world for one their software is completely unmatched by any company
Too bad it’s a foreign made drone, that’s collecting tons of information that one day will be used against its users.
Super Daddy Taylor 💜🐝 thanks for video
Thanks bro. real informative! G(ex South African in Iowa)
great presentation !!!
Great demo and explanation, loved it. Came across your's after watching Ryan's (How Farms Work) video of unpacking is Agras T50.
Thanks for highlighting the advantage of the drone in hilly and tree covered acreage, that's a great point!
4 questions:
- How could / would you utilise the T50 (or any Ag drone) in an Organic / No Till Farming situation?
- Is the T50 capable of specialised (thermal or other) scanning of trees, crops or hay fields to identify plant health and or disease/pests etc?
- Could these sort of drones double as farm security / areial surveilance?
- What Generator is remotely started with a key-fob??? 😲
They could use about 100 of these to help with the 🔥 in cali . Spraying down. Imagine
Wonderful show!!!!
thats amazing! how many batteries do you carry for a single job normally? also whats the size of an average job for you?
can also have a starlink dish for wifi if needed
How much does it cost for the whole system?
very good
Thank you
Wish i could afford to get into the agricultural sector drones.
Thanks for sharing! For heavy lifting, why can't DJI develop gas-powered helicopters instead of battery-powered drones to do the jobs since most commercial and military heavy-lifting companies use Gas-powered helicopters?
I'm in Texas- about how much is your overhead as far as pesticides versus acreage you are spraying?
Looking into this.
I wish they make some smaller model, like one gallon model so I can use it at back yard orchard. And hope US won’t ban dji
How common are bird strikes and how resilient/expensive are props?
With the US , will the incoming Dji ban mean that this will not be able to be used in the US ?
Hey Taylor, can you program the controller to make the t-50 slow down autonomously at a point? Say 300 feet before a hilly area and speed up on the return?
What mph wind do you stop spraying
Usually you want to top off between 10-15 mph, and that's just due to drift. The drone can handle 25mph in a straight line, but you obviously don't want to spray in that. Using DRA and knowledge of setting within the drone and spraying functions will also go a long way in drift reduction.
Would be good if the software maximised battery usage per flight. Drone could do a run perpendicular to the initial run down the field in order to lengthen run and return with 30% remaining. Less cycles - more efficient
What’s the maximum route spacing you can set up?
It doesn’t seem like these drones go close enough to the outside edges of fields, looks like it’s missing the outside?
The actual drone doesn’t need to go to the edges because it covers an area greater than its size when it’s spraying
@@nokuthulamatsikiti4025 wouldn’t it still be too close for weaving power lines in a field and doesn’t it by lay have to be 50’ from a road? We seed right up to the road edge here so a drone wouldn’t work or would it?
Drones of almost all big brands usually have roughly a 30ft swath consistently. So that would be roughly 12ish ft off each side of the drone, plus unexpected drift. Another way to combat this would be to select the end row pass at the end of the mission, which flies a boundary pass all around the end of the field. You can also come back and hit it with manual operation if there's an area you feel like you missed during your initial planning phase.
Something to consider, the drone is only as smart as you make it. You are the one planning the routes and boundaries and telling it what settings to use etc.
It subject to adjustment
Question about herbicides, if I am spraying some previously cleared land, and there’s regrowth, like poplar saplings does the drone pick up treetops or ground level?
Great video by the way !
It picks up whatever is beneath it. For example if you are flying over corn, it will fly 10ft above the corn if your height is set at 10ft.
❤❤❤
Looking for some help, cant find info on weather or not a T30 battery will work in a T25. Loved the T20p flight time with this setup... But cant find any info. Thanks a bunch.
I have the same answer
Yes they will! In the manuals it shows hey are compatible, and we sell them with T25's all the time for the cheaper alternative to a DB1560 (T50) battery.
In India we do not have seed drilling or row planting. It is one common field. In addition, if not paddy, the plots have intercrops with tall trees (Mango) and small plants (Soyabean). How good is your international service and support. Please please introduce them in India first as a service then as products. Love from Vijayawada, AP. India.
I see that there is a 13 gallon tank some guys are using on the T50. Any thoughts on that?
It's more for your high output applications. Something to keep in mind is that you are adding more weight, without increasing batter power, which in tern decreases flight time if you compare it to a normal 2gpa application of the normal 10.5 gallon tank.
hey ich have a big question ! ok first, thx for your very cool videos! But why they batterie so fast emtpy? in the manuel stands the dji t50 can fly up to 22minutes! ... why is your batterie so fast empty?
If you are flying for 22 minutes, you must be in a vacuum sealed room with absolutely no load. You are usually flying for roughly 8ish minutes on a full tank. When you land, you'll likely be around 40% on a battery for example. (This is on some nicer flat terrain with the start point next to the field to limit ferry time.)
So how much for the whole deal? Drone, batteries, trailer, up grade for the filler, tanks everything. How much for everything on that trailer and how much for the trailer? Include the Bimini and everything. Total cost for that entire setup you have in the video. Except the truck. Don’t need the price on the truck.
I'd also like to know. I would like to buy a start up operation and do custom spraying! Also - you can also get dry tanks/applicators for like cover crop seeding? That would be extremely beneficial for keeping the business model 'flying' through more seasons than just spraying! (looking for a *REPLY* - vs. *NO REPLY* to gentleman above here!)
Probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 75k. The drone itself is somewhere around 30k
@@RRRIBEYEyes they spread seed and fertilizer as well. 50kg capacity
Is this video out?@@RyanWatsonASD
have your seen the new firmware for the t50?
Yep! We test each Beta firmware here at ASD just like several other distributors of the Agras drones, all before the official public release!
Amazing video and the work you guys are doing with these drones. Please note our foundation supports public safety with free drone tech and we guarantee best pricing on all Drones including the ones you're flying. We know they are not low cost but we can help. if you'd like allow us a competitive quote please know that up to 10% of the net proceeds after we save you on the best possible price will come back to Suport underfunded public safety. Keep up the great work let us know if we can be of any help.
Enjoy for that, next time you cant fly that according to your politicians 😂😂😂😂....
It would be hella better if the battery can last longer each time.
That is sooo cool. I want One. It would had been awesome if an America company would had come up with this invention. Good bye crop dusters. I better start looking for a different job.
not using the internet and still get banned here. accuse of stealing information
It’s not good to charge a hot lipo battery, reduces its life expectancy. The battery must cool down before charging.
Fly your drone over cellular
If you had unlimited battery or even 2 hour battery and IF we didn't have that stupid line of site rule we could go far.

Everything i am reading and seeing is the XAG P100 Pro is the most efficient drone .. and its really not close.. come on T60..
I haven’t seen that. The DJI software / obstacle avoidance and safety features are far superior.
I personally have never heard with anyone happy with a XAG P100 Pro. They all regret buying one. Watch reviews from real farmers and users, not the XAG advertisers.
@infox6671 there's plenty of farmers on yt running the p100 pro.. lots of dji fanbois though.. yes the software is better but with the latest updates, it's "good enough" to keep the job done for thr specific use case. Not doing stunt flying and I don't need the better on board camera. I want fields sprayed in far less time. I'm not going of xag sellers either. You do you though
@@infoxic when you add GPA and battery efficiency that's what I mean.. on larger fields it is getting the job done more efficiently , objective fact my man. The T40/50 slows down when you increase. Yes software fancier and better camera , not disputing.. in capable hands it just is better in terms of efficiency.. I would like to have the best of both worlds no doubt. T60 we shall see what comes. But this game is about margin and efficiency. And right now XAG is delivering where it counts. Larger tank too.
And the SIM card / wireless network is nice to have imo in the XAG.. you don't have to reestablish connectivity during "pit stops" it gets off the ground and back in flight faster.
Drone spraying will not be practical until they can refill and recharge autonomously.
No one wants to babysit a drone, filling small tanks and swapping batteries all day.
lol, try spraying by hands and you tell me you don't want to swap batteries.
@@JimmyDoyel-by2cp No one would ever want to do that. Filling tanks all day, and swapping batteries either.
A commercial unit might have 10 batteries to save downtime, but a private unit can sit and recharge, until its ready to go again.
Actually there's thousands of applicators and private owners all over the world! DJI Agras models come with 3 batteries that allow you to fly all day when you are constantly charging as you fly and mix chemical!
@@RyanWatsonASD That's the attitude steam car owners had. They had no problem doing the 50 things to get the car going, but cars only got popular when they were as simple as get in and go.
@@Landrew0 Come see a demo in person, you'll understand how these units and operations work! Everyone's always welcome to come on in and we can show you everything you have questions or concerns on!
DJI support is pathetic
