I'm so glad there is a video for this. I started this blanket the other day using the written pattern I found on redheart.com but some way I messed up and took it apart. I'm going to start over now that I have a visual and audio on what I should be doing. Hope to finish by next Friday
Thank you for yet another video that makes it so much easier to understand. I too would like to make it bigger but am not sure what multiple it works in. Thank you :-)

Hi have Yu thought of putting closed captions on it? Becuz I am deaf and want to know what Yu say on TH-cam. And I am beginning to learn how to crochet . And thanks
I was watching the video & then reading the comments but didn't see where you meant. Would you give the time, in minutes & seconds, where you saw the "chain extra 1 to reach over" you saw? I'm interested because I'd like to see what I missed! And he seems to be using Red Heart Super Saver but you can use whatever yarn you please for this project as for any other project. And the hook you wish. Just be aware that the hook and yarn combination you use will change the texture and appearance of your project in comparison to what you see on the screen!
So confused. Can you explain this to me or is this an advanced pattern? I mean I can do the shell and v stitch and things like that. What other afghan patterns can you recommend that's not granny stripe or square? Which is best ripple wave or chevron patterns?
It's not advanced. If you pause the video for each part you can do it! Just take it nice and slow. The v-st and the shell are just like these sts. The open shell is just like a regular shell except you put a chain after each dc, that's all. If you know the basics you can do any pattern and anything else here.
The link for the afghan on Red Heart's site won't work. It gives an error message saying the page is forbidden. Tried the link from both the Crochet Crowd page and the Red Heart site and got the same result. :-(
Hi! I'm Davy and I brought some yarns from the store, but I don't know how to make rainbow blanket for adult. thats all I know the scarfs for winter time.
Do you mean to change colors? Or to make something bigger than a scarf? If you mean something bigger than a scarf, it just takes more yarn and to keep crocheting. Making the beginning chains longer. Instead of say 20 chains to start, you make this one 146, like Mikey said. If you mean to change yarn colors, then you might need to watch some videos on how to change colors. Those Mikey has as well. Just as easy to learn with practice as everything else. I wish you luck!
I think it's a multiple of 11:Chain 3 to start; then sk5 to begin, then into the 6th ch, then sk5 & into the 6th. Repeat. So that's 11 chains being used for one pineapple each time. Plus the 3 chains at the beginning.
I love your video tutorials, but you leave a little of this unclear because you don't explain the end of the first row for example. I did the 146 chains and followed the open shell and then a single crochet in every sixth chain, but when I got to the end, I ended up with two chains left over. I tried twice after making sure I had the correct number of chains and I even used my stitch markers to make sure I didn't mess up the count somehow. When I still ended up with two extra stitches, I started at the first chain and put in stitch markers every sixth chain, then added two chains to account for the single crochet stitch at the beginning of the first row. I actually ended up added more stitches because, according to the pattern, there should be twelve open shells and thirteen single crochets. I didn't know what else to do, so I hope this doesn't mess with the rest of the pattern because there's no explanation in either the written pattern or in the video about the extra chains. Did anyone else have this issue?
According to my calculations, if the pattern repetition is 11 sts, then there should've been 148 sts in the foundation. And why you added 2 sts at the end of the row. And I didn't make the afghan, just did the math. So, no, you did just fine. Or should be.
Yay, cool find!
Omg yes I can not wait I love the pineapple stitch! Thank you Mikey Love You!

Do you have a written pattern or a graph? But, ♥️Thank you for the handy video!!!
I LOVE you video form Pakistan
Mikey, what is that tall crochet thingy behind you at beginning of video? I'm intrigued.
Love this pAttern;would love to make it more wider ; how do l increase the number of stitches?
I just figured it out just now for you. I filmed this so long ago that I didn't know how to do it back then. It's in multiples of 12 chs + 2.
Thanks, will start on this pattern right away.
Tried to access the pattern through your description link and got a 404 Article not found error. Was able to find it on the Red Heart site.
What’s the multiple for this blanket
Hey Mikey. Have you ever made a wedding ring or double wedding ring crocheted afghan? If so, have you done a video tutorial for it? Thanks.
Que lindo parabéns vc podia traduzir p o português

On the bar the menu bar, under the video, there is a box that says CC. That is closed caption. Just click the on button and it will turn it on. :)
Is it on the written pattern to chain extra 1 to reach over,? What yarn do you use?

Hi. If I wanted to make this bigger what does the pattern work in multiples of? Many thanks in advance
Multiples of 11 but the foundation ch of this one begins with 148, not 146 like Mikey says. His math is a little off, sorry Mikey!
What row should you end your project on?
So confused. Can you explain this to me or is this an advanced pattern? I mean I can do the shell and v stitch and things like that.

Does the 1st row end on an open shell or SC? I'm having a difficult time getting started...TIA
It should end on a sc, and it's 148 sts on the foundation ch, not 146. I redid the math on this one. Sorry, Mikey!!

Why can't I see the video for this pattern and also some of the other patterns from the Crochet Crowd.
I'm not sure... it's working for me just fine here.
Yes I have and it didn't turn on Becuz the person who made this video didn't add to it
You did not do the stitch count for the pattern disappointed I wanted to make this
I think it is multiples of 12 but I'm not positive
