I have all 3, raptor, trx and zr2 and they are all badass in their own way! 🎉
I just celebrated my 35th anniversary as an auto tech and my take is that Ford is the better truck.
Easy choice. Raptor!
Just not enough uniqueness from GM. The shocks are the only thing different from every other Silverado. Atleast the Raptor gets a special engine , body fenders etc. as a GM guy , the ZR is nice but no way should it be this much for essentially those shocks. Same interior same engine. And 33s ? When the Colorado has 35 options ?
The ZR2 has a different bumper, grille, hood, interior, wheels, and tires. The ford is extremely boring looking inside and out

The ZR2 is nice, but for a little more I could get a lot more with the Raptor.
Always been a GM guy but the Raptor is far and away the better value with it's suspension system alone. In order to get the GM truck to ride and perform like the Raptor it would require a complete suspension redesign and would cost $15-20k. I own a 2020 Raptor now and I've never owned a GM that even comes close to the Raptor performance. Well done Ford.
Ford is King!
For one, to be considered somewhat an offroad truck are minimum of 35” tires. Second, the Fox shocks are better than the Multimatics. The live active valving, construction, and valving with bigger shock are superior. Raptor better upper and lower arms with strength compared to the ZR2. So the Raptor is the most capable, but the ZR2 is more than enough for the majority that purchase turn key offroad trucks from factory. Third, most people who utilize the full potential will rip the factory suspension out for more capable suspension components.

GM is trash. My 2020 sierra Denali stayed broken and it had 14k miles and the BCM went out cost me $1,0000. I got it repaired and traded for a 2024 Raptor 37pp. If I’m gonna have a turd then it’s gonna be cool. GM is trash now !
