      So to summarize :
      Beaches - Philippines.
      Culture ( Temples) - Thailand
      Ease of communication/Friendliness - Philippines
      Infrastructures (Roads, Hotels)- Thailand
      Less cheaper - Philippines
      Faster internet- Thailand
      Island hoping - Philippines
      Foods - Thailand
I am in the US and I have never been to Thailand and Cebu or Mindanao. But if I'm gonna choose, I'll pick Thailand for visit.

I only been to Philippines yet. Been there several trips 9 months together. I LOVE Philippines. The nature, mountains, beaches, waterfalls everywhere. I also like the food overall, bur most of all I love the people, they are amazing. Always a smile, they are helpful, friendly, hospitable and make you feel like you belong to the family. They invite for coffee, beer, food and of course karaoke. But I really want to visit Thailand and the other countries in SE Asia to. Greetings from Sweden!

I have been to Thailand more than 8 times and to the Philippines 2 times. If you want to compare Thailand and the Philippines, which one is better? If we speak overall with all the truthful information. 🙏🙏
Thailand is much better than the Philippines in many matters such as infrastructure, transportation, and very convenient travel. Food and living expenses, accommodation, hotels, hospitals, health tourism, cleanliness and hygiene as well as customs and traditions and art and culture. 👿👿
Thailand has is like no other. Thailand is many times superior to the Philippines. Don't lie to yourself. People who have been to both countries will know. You don't speak lie. This article is a real petition and article from a Filipino that sees various problems which is more than Thailand in almost every aspect. And knowledgeable and educated people accept these things. But there are still some Filipinos who are still deaf and blind who cannot see the problems of their own country. But trying to cheer for their own country in the wrong way. The more people come out to support the wrong and random things, the bigger it will go causing the country to lack sustainable development. While Thailand has developed very far We can barely keep up. From modern, large airports, infrastructure systems in every province, the country is clean. People with knowledge and education.
Here are the Philippine problems that prevent foreign tourists from coming to our country:
      1. We do not have a modern infrastructure like Thailand.
      2. We do not have modern transportation, Subways, High-speed trains. Double track, Railway system Monorail
      3. The internet is weak or non-existent.
      4. Power outage (power outage)
      5. The water is weak or lacking or there is no water.
      6. Robbery at NAIA Airport
      7. Accommodation is very expensive.
      8. There are many pickpockets, snatchers, and criminals in the Philippines. At the mall there must be soldiers everywhere with guns.
      9. There are a lot of illegal taxi and tricycle drivers. Extorting money from locals and tourists Overcharging/defrauding foreign tourists
      10. Garbage or rubbish on roads and sidewalks Including in many rivers and canals.
      11. Even on beaches, seas, forests, and mountains, there is garbage..plastic bottles, plastic bags, wrapping paper, and other garbage.
      12. Vendors sell illegal goods on the street/sidewalk. There were merchants in the middle of Badian Valley. San Sai Panglao and the banks of the seas of El Nido and Coron. Dirty and there is a lot of garbage in our environment and nature. Shop in the right place.
      13. Smugglers, street people, and beggars everywhere. especially children that asks for money from foreigners
      14. Our medical and public health systems still lag behind when compared to Thailand.
Then we say "It's more fun or better in the Philippines" ??? It is very embarrassing! Tourism stimulates our local economy as foreigners spend money in our country which helps our local businesses earn more money. Local and national governments must take some steps to address these issues. I want to see Thailand as a good example of development.

I'm from Sokor, and I've been in the Philippines 14months and 7months in thailand I love touring around asia like I been in Indonesia and Singapore too. But I prepare Philippines.
Nature: Philippines! I'm being bias because I love Boracay and El Nido specially at night it gets busy and I love it!
Food: Philippines again, I'm from south korea, spicy food is everywhere but I don't usually eat spicy food. I prepare some light taste. The only problem is Philippine cuisne are a little bit salty for korean like me.
Cost: Philippines is more cheaper than Thailand.
Culture: I experienced fiesta twice in the philippines In baguio City its flower festival and in Quezon city like random people throwing water on you and I just laughing while getting wet and I don't have clothes that time 🤣😂 I just enjoy it.
Language: Philippines because tagalog and english is their national language. They have so many dialect too.
Tourism: Thailand because thailand is more organize than Philippines.
East to travel: Philippines maybe because I want to go in Siargao and Bohol ☺️

Eto ang mga problema ng pinas kaya walang nagtatagal na mga foreign tourists sa ating bansa:
      1. Wala tayong modernong infrastructure.
      2. Wala tayong modernong transportation
      3. Mahina or walang internet
      4. Nawawalan ng kuryente (brownout)
      5. Mahina or nawawalan or walang tubig
      6. Nakawan sa NAIA airport
      7. Expensive accomodations
      8. Maraming mandurukot, snatchers at mga kriminal
      13. Illegal squatters, street dwellers and beggars everywhere, particularly children asking money from foreigners.
Tapos sasabihin natin "Its more fun in the Phlippines" ??? Nakakahiya ! Tourism will boost our local economy kasi foreigners spend money in our country which helps our local business to earn more. The local and national government MUST do something to solve/fix these problems.

Like, this couple has different views and likes than me so it depends on me of what i could say to both countries. I don’t say bad comments to any country because that’s how they are made off and it would hurt their people, let us understand that countries are made of , of what they are depending on the economic situation of that country. Like maybe Thailand is more economically progressive than Philippines that’s why they can afford to put more beautiful BudhaTemples in every corner of their streets whereas Philippines just have few big churches around them.

As a filipino I noticed that also that vegetables salad are rarely sold in the Philippines it is because fruits and vegetables are very expensive here rather than buying a single viand with rice that can make you really full than eating just vegetables or fruits.

domestic tourism is more in the Philippines since the beauty of the Philippines is composed of different islands, we do want to go to the different places first before we go to other countries. infrasturcture is difficult here, take note we are always in the mercy of mother nature. the Philippines is a country that is more affected by climate change than any other country. that why infrutructure is more difficult because we nee to build it considering the natural disasters that we experience every year.

Great content, but I must react on one point : the cost. I just spent 2 months around Thailand (Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, Koh Chang, Koh Kood - the best -, Koh Mak, Chiang Mai and of course Bangkok), and it is wayyy cheaper then El Nido, for exemple. You can pay more in Thailand for some rooftops, trendy bars, western food, but you always have A LOT of street food and cheap options, especially for the food and the accommodations. In the Philippines, you have way less choices, and the averages prices are higher!

    • @JumpingPlaces
      @JumpingPlaces  ปีที่แล้ว +6

Yes Thailand definitely has way more food and accommodation options due to being more touristy, especially with street food as you mentioned. In our experience recently visiting both countries we actually paid less for accommodation in the philippines though and even in el nido, guess it depends on what each person finds. El Nido might be the most extreme of them all in the philippines, the same way Phuket seemed to be way more expensive than anywhere else that we visited in Thailand. @@JumpingPlaces This article is a real petition and article from a Filipino that sees various problems which is more than Thailand in almost every aspect.

Really enjoyed this comparison, as I have been torn between both as upcoming travel destinations. Thanks for making the decision easier for me and thank you as well for being the travel vloggers whose opinions matter most to me. Given the wealth of online content contributors who specialize in both of these two particular locations, and southeast Asia overall, it is a great comfort to me to have the benefit of your like-minded advice and impressions.

As a Filipino who’ve travelled and enjoyed Thailand thrice, I guess the number one issue with my own country is it is too spread out. That is why I was quite surprise to hear Chris and Carol say it is less expensive here when one need to hop on a plane, ferry, boats, etc going to island destinations. Reason why these foreign vloggers are closely followed by locals, and read comments how they have been to places in the Philippines most locals haven’t had the chance of visiting.

    I'm Filipino:
Thailand has better cuisine. Hands down, probably the best in Southeast Asia.
The Philippines has better and more beaches, since it's an archipelagic country, unlike Thailand which is a mainland Asian country and has much lesser islands.
The Philippines has better dive sites and marine biodiversity since it is in the center of the Coral Triangle, while Thailand is not.
Waterfalls are the same. Since both are limestone karst-rich countries. With blue waters.
Thailand has more exotic traditional art and culture, the Philippines is more Hispanicized and Americanized. So Thailand has gorgeous temples, the Philippines has old churches.
Thailand has better tourism infrastructure, better internet, more hotels. The Philippines is really still just starting to develop its tourism industry. But that has downsides too, Thailand is far more crowded and more expensive, in contrast to the Philippines where you can still find isolated tourist areas known only to locals and is much cheaper.

As far as I know Thailand never get colonized. That's why they preserve those historical and cultural architectures. And Philippines on the other hand been colonized by Spain, US, a lil time by the Uk and Japan. And unfortunately each kingdom of the Philippines fought for their independence and ended up wrecked everytime their tryna get back the land from the colonizers. And Philippines is not one nation before Spain colonized it. It's a group of kingdom put it as a one nation. That's why Philippines is pretty diverse when it comes to cultures and appearances specially language/dialect

Thailand and the Philippines are like sister nations when it comes to people. I can say that one of the advantages of the Philippines is the use of English as the second language. I am a Filipino. I went to Thailand and I was impressed by their food (international and local with low prices). My problem was I was not able to talk with many people there because most of them don't speak English. To know the direction of the destination, I need to asked many and choose which of the direction was given by most of those I asked because they will give you different directions.
