    for anyone else wondering it's $2100 for the unit without accessories
    and it goes up to $5022 if you want a pair of them with all the accessories
    if I had the money to go for something like this I'd definitely support the company without a subscription based model and with openness towards universal accessories (shown by using the simple carabiner). The only disappointing/unforgivable thing is the lack of android support, but hopefully that's actually on its way.

Unfortunately the cost will likely keep a lot of people away, I know I was hesitant having never used it before but after spending a few months with them I can see the value prop with everything included. I think it's fairly priced, but want to see the reliability before giving up my Rep Ares. If you read their website the amount of resistance you use greatly impacts its battery life which makes sense. They only tested it between 40-100 lbs....which makes me think using it at 200 lbs very long is a stretch. When this becomes reliable technology I'll jump onboard. Makes a lot more sense than a cross functional trainer and easier to move and use when traveling.

    @11:06 I've tried the ARX half a dozen times until the business that used it went out of business because it is just such an expensive machine. The guy that purchased it has truly become the strongest man I know and having tried it just blew my mind on how it can create that load...
    I see myself purchasing them just on that recommendation of the similarity to an ARX, but this thing looks like it'll fill so many voids in home gyms or when you're traveling. Thanks for the great content

    • @lazur1
      @lazur1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      ARX accommodates every inch of leverage-advantage. The full-strength one can exhibit at near extension of a fresh ARX negative leg press rep is >1,000 lbs for almost anyone. People don't know what sustained full effort is until they've tried ARX.

    • @thetruemorg
      @thetruemorg 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@lazur1 Just to be clear, I wasn't knocking ARX for the ability to train folks. It's an amazing system... The pricing model doesn't work for the common consumer. A regular r person isn't going to afford to have one in their home gym and it's not a straightforward as it seems to be able to run a gym and be truly profitable on ARX. Sure people are doing it but at $100 a session just to keep the lights on It's unaffordable or only for folks with deep pockets.
      The product mentioned in the video at $2,000 has a much more manageable price as an ex gym owner, I could manage to make that worthwhile. For most clients being able to change that strength curve is going to create hell of adaption for the muscles. Not ARX adaption but a strong stimulus.
      If I were still running a gym I could literally pay an employee an extra $10,000 a year versus having the sunk cost of paying for a specialty piece of equipment.
      Honestly with the overhead of a place like 24 hour fitness or planet fitness they could afford to bring ARX in because they have the kind of overhead that would make sense.
      From a training perspective, the first time I tried ARX, I had such a massive energy output It rivaled Any workout I'd done in the past. I felt so bad. I checked my blood sugar and I took a glucose tablet and I'm not diabetic lol. I am the biggest ARX fanboy and I'm just saying the money don't work for the common person.
      But if you added that device above in the video plus a kbox for eccentric training, you're going to produce amazing strong athletes at a fraction of the cost.

    These are pricey for sure but still are amazing/gamechanging tech.
    'Free' content idea: I'd love to see a homegym set up with a pair of these as a core. Outside of traditional deadlifts and maybe squats, 400lbs of resistance from a pair is more than enough for the majority of lifters and for people who don't/can't have a traditional home gym setup with mats/power rack/barbell. The maneuverability of these make them way more versatile than a tonal style set up.

      I totally agree about the unitree pump. The other thing that I am struggling with is I don’t own a rack (no room for one). So the mounting options for this device seems to be a bit limiting. The unitrees can mount to just about anything including doors, and the fact that you can sync several of them together with all of the features that Coop demonstrates in this video seems to be a better value. I just checked, and the unitree’s are going for around $200 now, getting 6 of them (240lb max) would cost 1/2 of this device with what I think is a ton more mounting flexibility. I guess a downside for the unitree would be the battery life. However, for me, it’s not that big of a deal to simply charge them every two or three workout sessions.

    Great idea but there is few similar products for fraction of price. The only reason you would buy one of resistance pulleys is to avoid paying whole price of the standalone cable station (that is around 2.5k for 100kg stack). I know the size also matters but then if you can fit a power cage then it's also cheaper to get power cage with cable pulleys (yes they build them). Don't get me wrong, if that device would be for 20% of current value I would for sure consider getting 2 for my power cage. 🤞 they will lower the cost by removing the screen and battery just to have a pure mechanical device that is affordable.

      But this is not for everyone. If you travel a lot it's perfect, if you don't have space at home for a home gym (like an apartment etc) it is good.
      Personally I live in an apartment and travel a lot for sometimes a week or 2 in a van into the middle of nowhere, so being able to have something like this would be amazing.
      It's a niche product for a niche audience. And compare it to the Tonal or Vitruvian and the prices aren't too far apart either (and this one has no subscription)

    Couldn't wait to see your review of this. I don't think this is the answer for cable machines, but certainly is moving innovation forward in the home gym space. Too bad the pricing. If it was $2500/pair, I would jump all over this. Also. I wish these companies would stop with this subscription model. It's clouding the actual cost of the items.

    *For anyone who's thinking of getting two units to do bilateral movements* (like dead lifts and bench presses). I just want you to understand that the experience may not be what you expect. Because it's two motors that aren't synced, they create this really unstable and jerky movement when attached to the same bar.
    Take a look at 10:30 in the video to see what I mean.
    In my opinion, these are really cool but don't bother getting two. Just get one and use it for exercises where 200lb is enough weight. I should say I haven't tried these but I've tried another similar product (made in Italy that I forgot the name of)

    You can't just put this on a rack that's not bolted down to the floor.
    And that little platform accessory isn't big enough, so you would have to build your own floor platform for it.
    And all the debate about the app....ANY app, tied to a product, is a TEMPORARY feature, ....so as long as it works perfectly without an app, then fine. Because apps are always flakey, and apps get abandoned and stop working. Simple as that. If you relied on an app for this product, then eventually you would have a $5000+ useless boat anchor.
