@@jesterapp i think it depends on the time off year but your best bet is to just contact 5 Star Marine and ask them, based on your timing.
The cost is prohibitively expensive for 9 out of 10 travellers. I have enquired.

This video dropped at the PERFECT time. I’m getting married in Khon Kaen on November 25th and heading to Koh Yao Yai on the 28th. Maya Bay is on the list of places we want to visit.

I literally was here two weeks ago , it was ab absolutely incredible all day trip around the phi phi islands and getting to be here in person was breathtaking an experience ill take to the grave with me!

I traveled around that area 35 years ago There were basically no tourists, glad I made it before mass tourism arrived, but definitely a beautiful area maybe the most beautiful place in Thailand

I went to Maya Bay in 2002 and it was fantastic! About as many people as are there now in the afternoon and back then boats were allowed. Mostly Longtail and as you came around the corner it was breathtaking. And then mass-tourism ruined the experience in the years after. I'm so glad the Thai Government shut it down for 3 years I believe and came back with a sustainable tourism plan. It looks fantastic again!
I haven't been there yet - but I will in the future.

I agree, 5 Star Marine is the only way to enjoy a trip of a Lifetime, trouble is its addictive and is now a regular part of my Thailand Travel Plans. I'm back with them in April

when I went to Pi Leh lagoon first time...feeling like backing to the "Atlantis world"...wonderful and timeless...wow wow...is the only word that I could say..

Have visited that area 3 times including that beach...my last visit paid a long boat owner for the day and snorkeled all around the islands...fabulous!

you hit the nail on the head at 7:31 INSANE, i coming to Thailand in 25 days staying for 6 months living in Chiang Mai, going to travel during smoky season FEB and MAR and follow your foot steps to the letter, with 5 Star Marine, will be in Bangkok for two weeks beginning of Feb, would really love to meet.

Chris, love what you do and love your passion... Not to be a buzz kill, but you are truly going 5-star today... you realize that most people can't afford that $963/day rate that the 5-star marine charges... Obviously if you have a ton of people, it'll pencil out less, but otherwise unaffordable for most... You should have disclosed that and also gave more economic options.
Wow, I was looking for the price and that was a lot higher than I expected, that's silly even by Phuket price levels

Thanks for taking me back to Maya bay and Koh Kai. I fell in love with Maya bay as soon as I reached there. Last time, I was at Maya bay in 2018 before it got shut down. I was at Koh Kai in 2010. The most amazing part was that only me and few local friends were there barbecuing seafood on the beach one particular night. Those local small shops still look the same!
Im spending 7 nights in phuket in december, i WILL be doing this tour, i cant wait 😁
I really took it for granted the times I visited Maya bay all those times I visited there 15-20 years ago. We could hang out and lounge on the beach for as long as we wanted. Back then, I just thought it was a nice beach but didn't realize I needed to cherish the privilege. Now, it looks more like a museum piece. Come see and take photos and then they kick you out. I completely understand why. Too many visitors the last 20 years.
Absolutely amazing beauty. After living in Hawai'i for 20 years, and traveling to Australia, the Philippines, and Guam this is truly one of the best-looking beaches I have seen. Cant wait to check them out.

Great video Chris and Adam! I've been going to Phi Phi every year (or multiple times a year) since 2000. It's always an amazing place. It's definitely gotten more crowded, but nothing better than taking a longtail boat out for a day around the islands and bays.
I managed to get to Maya bay shortly after things properly opened up again after covid. 5am start to get there early and there were hardly any people there. Just the most incredible beach and maybe the most beautiful place I have ever been. I can imagine when I gets crazy busy it would lose its shine, but it was unbelievable.

I went two times to Phi Phi. Once on a luxury and the other on Longtail. Longtail is sooooooooo much better and private.

Hello. We are here in Phuket and you are absolutely right about 5 Star Marine private tour. We had sooooo much fun going to places that i have never seen such beauty !!!! We had a private guide and he absolutely took us to the most beautiful beach and caves and mangroves. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. It’s my dream to visit MAYA BAY once in my life. I went there in May last year but the storm just came during my boat was in the sea half way so the plan was changed.💔
For it's Phang Nga; our second home. But we loved around Phi Phi. We stopped on a small island (don't know the name), was just our boat and the sand was pink. Please check also Surin islands.
Funny how when you live someplace, like Adam you never go to the touristy places. But places are usually touristy for a reason. Maya Bay is beautiful!
