Imagine spending a grand on a gaming computer, it's win 11, and something as simple as expecting a controller to work is too much. Well, this is the reality with Win 11.
They usually work properly, but I understand your point. Sometimes things are not set in stone all the time. Might be a problematic update, or faulty cable, or bad ports. Many factors at play, not only W11
Ive found that if you update your Xbox controller in the accessories app on console… you then unpair the Xbox controller from your Xbox. The best way I’ve found to ensure you’re unpaired from your console is to pair your Xbox gamepad with your smartphone - at least the iphone. After you pair your gamepad with your iPhone with Bluetooth,,, simply “forget device” via the info symbol on iPhone. Complete. Now just play your gamepad in and start gaming.
I’ve tried everything except for this. Haven’t been able to use my controller for months. Extremely frustrated. Im gonna try this in the next 1-2 hours. If this works then you are truly the only helpful person to ever exist.
Para los que no les conecta y han intentado de todo, la solución es de HARDWARE, si su pc viene con antena wifi, deben conectarla en los puertos wifi de su computadora. Resulta que esta no solo es para el wifi, tmbn es para el alcance del bluetooht.
I hope one of these will work. I have the wired Zelda themed Xbox controller, with no detachable USB cable. Everytime I turn on the computer (Windows 11), I have to unpplug the controller and reconnect it for it to work every time.
I had the problem of everything working fine but i could not connect with wireless on the controller , i SOLVED my windows 11 problem. In Flight Mode menu turn on : Xbox wireless :Games connection. hope this helps
If your Xbox controller is not showing up as a USB device when you connect it to your computer, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem: 1. **Check the Cable**: Ensure that you are using a working USB cable to connect the controller to your computer. Try using a different USB cable to rule out any cable-related issues. 2. **USB Port**: Try connecting the controller to different USB ports on your computer. Sometimes, certain USB ports may not provide enough power or have driver-related issues. Test both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports if available. 3. **Controller Compatibility**: Make sure your Xbox controller is compatible with your computer's operating system. Xbox controllers are typically well-supported on Windows, but you may need to download and install specific drivers, especially if you are using an older operating system. 4. **Restart Your Computer**: Sometimes, a simple restart of your computer can help resolve unrecognized USB device issues. 5. **Controller Drivers**: Ensure that you have the latest controller drivers installed on your computer. You can usually download these drivers from the official Xbox website or Microsoft's support website. 6. **Device Manager**: Check the Device Manager on your computer to see if the controller is listed under "Game controllers" or if there are any unrecognized devices. If it's listed with a yellow exclamation mark, it may indicate a driver problem. Try updating or reinstalling the driver from Device Manager. 7. **USB Hub**: If you are using a USB hub, try connecting the controller directly to your computer's USB port to rule out any issues with the hub. 8. **USB Cable and Port Health**: Make sure both the USB port on your computer and the cable's connectors are clean and free from debris. Sometimes, dirt or dust can interfere with the connection. 9. **Controller Battery**: If you are using a wireless Xbox controller with a USB cable for charging, ensure that the controller's battery is not completely drained. It may not work if the battery is dead. 10. **Test on Another Computer**: To further isolate the issue, try connecting the controller to another computer to see if it's recognized there. If it works on another computer, the issue may be specific to your computer. 11. **Firmware Update**: Some controllers may require a firmware update to function correctly. Check if there are any available firmware updates for your controller model. 12. **Third-Party Software**: If you have any third-party software or game-related software running in the background, it may interfere with the controller. Try disabling or uninstalling such software temporarily to see if it makes a difference. If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there may be a hardware problem with your controller, or there could be a more complex software issue on your computer. In such cases, you may need to contact Xbox Support or consult with a technical expert for further assistance.
i am using a bluetooth xbox 1 controller and when i plug it in it connects but when i try to use it wirelessly it doesnt work o my computer it says your device is ready but the controller is unresponsive and the power button is still flashing
well actually nevermind the unversal serial bust controllers were fine and none of them have updates but some other ones say they have problems gonna try a back usb port
"Unfortunately this app doesn't support your controllers new firmware on your PC" is the error I keep getting even after I reverted the firmware on my console a little over a week ago. The Xbox accessories app forced me to download the new firmware update (pretty much rendering my Xbox adaptive controller useless on my PC at least 🙄) and the same error message pops up 🤬 the controller works just fine on my Xbox so there's no need to send it in for repairs. All of my USB ports are working correctly on my PC. The app recognizes my controller if I'm connected via Bluetooth but since it's an adaptive controller I want to use it via co-pilot and being connected via Bluetooth won't let me choose that option 😞 so what the hell can I do to fix this issue?! My laptop is currently up to date with Windows 11 and it says no further updates are required at the moment so wtf is the issue then? 😢
Same problem for me. I appreciate videos like this one trying to solve a common problem. But so far none have addressed this particular problem at all. My hands are tied because there is nothing to interact with in Windows 11 to even attempt these solutions. My wireless receiver stopped being recognized after an update 2 weeks ago and won't show up anywhere on the computer. The controller and receiver works fine on my other and older computer (Win 10) but I don't really want to use that one lol
i've been trying for an hour to find a solution to the fps drop but i can't find anything that helps me. i can't even update my controller's firmware because plugging it in doesn't connect it to my pc, and updating the firmware requires a wired connecting. i've tried 2 different wires and none of them work.
my problem is xbox 360 china wireless adapter could not be installed, it says This device cannot start. (Code 10) Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API.
