Hands down best video on how to create a portfolio on Google Sites yet! After various channels and hours of(informative and really creative) adverts for those channels services, I finally found Sam. I literally just finished creating and updating my new work portfolio today by watching this! Thank you!!!!! Six is great but I had to pay $250 to renew my website and I did Google slides but realized it wasn't good! Now I'm all caught up and transitioned to Google sites! Thank you!

However, I thought the actual project built on the authoring tool (articulate) would be linked to the portfolio site.
Thats a great point! I think if you build a project within Articulate there may be an option to embed it within a Google Site! Check this link it might be useful: access.articulate.com/support/article/Rise-360-How-to-Embed-Published-Content-in-a-Web-Page
