Engine Oil and filter change of my BMW Funduro F650 - 1997. P/N for BMW "Oil Servicing Kit": 11 00 2 317 015 Reference: faq.f650.com/F... - a good read!
I just did my third oil change on mine, and I STILL made a mess in various places!?! Not at all as easy as when I had my K75s! Still, I DO love this bike of mine - now with collectors plate! Martin.
Thank you very much! I've already read the FAQ. It was nice to see a demonstration from someone who've also read it. I'm planning to do it next time myself.
@5:43 Yes that's true. When changing my oil last weekend my threads stript at only 30Nm. The previous owner already striped most of the thread i guess. The plug was dripping a bit of oil already. Have to figure out what to do.
Great video, my mistake was adding to much oil in 1 take. The dry sump system is a bit shitty. My battery is dead so i could't start the bike to let the oil flow. I added slowly 1800cc and the oil spilled all over the frame. Now i have to wait for a new accu and then finish the oil change :)
Hey man, nice video, sometimes it is difficult to find good information for those old motorcycles. How do you check the oil level after your change? I have read different information about that! The dry sump lubrication makes me mad! If you have confirmed information let me know!

Not off the top of my head. But I would probably try ebay. Carefull though, I think they swapped from a single carb setup to a double at one point. So you get something that fits your bike.
I really appreciate no talking, just captions. Too many ppl try to inject their "cool" personalities into their videos.
Thanks man!
Ye, this video is just suppose to be informational, so captions is enough.

Warm up the engine, let the radiator fun start 2-3 times, stop the engine and check on dipstick!

Hello, can you please help me tell me how much the engine head bolts are tightened for bmw f650 st????
Hi!
I would have used 28 Nm for the 8 mm bolts, and the 6 mm bolts I would have torqued to 10 Nm.
@@speedandengineering thank you very much 😁
