I wanted to address the comments from people who think the dogs are worse off after he leaves because they feel sad or missing him... Imagine being in jail and getting a visit. Everyone feels so much better after. It's just such a nice break for the dog to have some friendly companionship.
Yes! And actually there was a study done that concluded that shelter dogs are measurably happier and more adoptable after only 15 minutes of attention.
Also dogs don't feel like humans do. They don't go long term sadness over one positive interaction. Their whole day is better over one good thing. Only humans brood and feel sorry for themselves even when good things happen to them. We have to go back to treating animals as animals.
i agree. even if they get attached to him and miss him afterwards, they will still remember the great feeling they had and will be more open to the next person, because they might be as nice!
Hey guys, I'm seeing that this adorable pup is still up for adoption on the site. I will be reaching out to try and adopt Odin within the next couple weeks, and driving the 10 hours needed to come get him. Wish me luck!
Yeah, imagine if you were a strange place and there were loud noises and you were afraid. It would be so much more comforting if someone came in there and sat with you until you were ok and told you it was a safe place and there were safe people and they do care.
Humans can be trusted? Well it just started loving a human again and it left them alone....to Odin it very well could be the exact opposite thing. He is left alone again. Just playing devil's advocate...you could very well be right, it is just impossible to know...even humans, one can take a situation the exact opposite in the exact same situation.

I have used this technique soooo many times to attract strays and calmly get them to help. One morning over 2 hrs sitting in a field to help a golden with a badly injured tail and leg. Police, animal control and a few others had no luck ,and the officer thought I was crazy to sit down in middle of a field. But when she walked out on lead with me, they were amazed. Odin is gorgeous! I wouldn't be surprised if his doggy relations are Alaskan. I live in the dog mushing community of Two Rivers, Alaska (about 30 miles N/E of Fairbanks) Odin looks like what we call a "village dog" They tend to be smaller than a Siberian Husky. Actually, the smaller husky-mix dogs can run faster and have more stamina for distance. They are the mighty mites of a dogsled team. Odin is exceptionally calm and, yes, so intelligent. @Sandy-p4m yes, I just looked it up. The breed is the Alaskan Klee Kai. It was a breed started in the early 1970s. I had never heard of them before. Apparently, legitimate Klee Kais are very rare and very expensive.
@elsiestormont1366 This dog very well may be a Klee Kai. I was referring to the Seppala Husky. I think there are many breeds of husky. They are so beautiful. I've always wanted one but their characteristics always concerned me with other small animals. They also need a lot of exercise to the point I thought it would be cruel to own one. They love to run so much.

IMPORTANT QUESTION- Hi Rocky, I want to rescue a dog in my area, Florida, I’ve been reluctant. There is mold in my master 1/2 bathroom. I am very allergic to. The bathroom is contained. Allergy pills, and 2 air purifiers have helped me tremendously. Would it be ok to bring a dog into my house. My friends bring their furbabies over with no problem, nevertheless, I’d like your opinion. Thanks a bunch. 🐾❤️🐾
What you do achieves so much by sitting with dogs is, it gives them some relief from being scared and not being so nervous. It shows them when someone comes to see them it can be ok and they might not need to hide in the back of the kennel anymore. This helps them. It’s fantastic to hear Lucky finally got his turn for a furever home. He is gorgeous and looks like a great boy. ❤️
Thank you, Rocky, Kelly and Alexis, and thank you for showing us the wonderful Haven Animal Center. I’m so happy to see how much abiding passion the folks that call these sweet animal souls family, have. There’s a special place in heaven over the rainbow bridge for all of you!! Lucky is AWESOME!! I’m so glad he was adopted. And I’m sure that very good boy Odin will have a soft sofa to flop on very soon with someone who loves him. He seems very sweet, attentive, smart, and ready to just go home with someone who will give him wonderful attention and inclusion. And as others have said, pay only as much attention to folks who are critical as you believe is due. Some people truly do care, are worried or concerned, and don’t understand how terse their comments sound. Others…nah…not so much. They may just be unhappy or judgmental and think they know better. Bottom line is they don’t. Keep up the amazing work - it and the improvements of the health and happiness of the fur babies and their adoptions is proof enough that you’re right to do what you do. Love you all! (And my Scandinavian Freyja and Ragnar say “HEJ!!” to their Norse god friend Odin. Thor lives across the street, lol!)
Thank you for Educating the community. We project our human mindset and feelings onto dogs. Once you get a dog to live in the moment ….you’ve changed the brain….as Cesar always says.
Rocky you are the BEST person - please ignore any negative comments- you help so many dogs and I love watching your videos!! Take care and God bless you and your staff for all y'all do to help these precious dogs! Thanks again, Vicki Lopez 😊
There will always be haters. You and your crew are doing such a wonderful thing. God bless you all. Please do not stop doing what you doing and ignore negative haters
Such a strikingly beautiful boy. Odin is a wonderful name for him. Blessings to Lucky too, glad he now has a home. xx I had a dog a long time ago, Toby, who came from a rescue centre here in the UK; we had no idea what mixture of breeds he was. He would really show his teeth with his nose all wrinkled up - looked vicious; but his little tail would be wagging so fast, it wasn't long before we learned he was *so* very happy, that he was actually smiling. Their tails say a lot.
Aww my mum's youngest pup does that! We call it her 'smiles', she bares her teeth when she's excited or knows she's misbehaved but she's the sweetest thing who's happiest cuddled up on your lap. :D
What a handsome beautiful boy. I pray you find a wonderful home right away where you'll be loved forever Love the face the expression those ears are wonderful you say it all plus your little heart honey
A graphic artist could use this doggie as a model for drawing Husky characters - he has such balanced even markings - so neat! Good luck boyo! Thanks for saving all the sweet doggies, Rocky, Alexis & everyone in the shelter! ❤❤❤
I love the bright yellow-green color of the kennels. Looks so clean and cheerful. And blankets, and toys. These people take good care of their rescue dogs. Thank you all so much!
I was just about to write how disturbing and annoyng this color is. I feel anxious even watching walls of such a fierce colour. Now, what do the dogs think about it?🤔
@@dorotabarbowska2184Dogs are partially colour blind. They only have two cones in their eyes while humans have three. Dogs can only see blue and yellow not red and green.
He’s soooo pretty 😍😍😍 I’ve been watching your videos for almost 10 years now. My soul dog passed away about 15 months ago and your videos have been really helpful. Thank you for all you do!!
Even if you only spend 30 minutes with a dog, you are creating a spark in the dog so their true self can be shown and maybe potential adopters to see and adopt these wonderful dogs.
His markings are beautiful. Little raccoon or masked Zoro. All his markings are awesome. Thank you, for understanding. Getting them more sociable and comfortable. Easing their minds and temperament. Most people will not work with the dogs if they are fearful. More adoptable. If something like this happened to me I definitely wouldn’t recover. Dogs bounce back emotionally.
15 years ago we adopted a sweet amazing Rottie mix (probably had just a touch of Lab mixed in) who had been in a Maine shelter for more than 4 months. Sweet Bree was somewhere between 2 and 4 years old, and had been found walking on a mountain road, and clearly had had puppies, but none were found. She did not "show well" because she was housed in a tiny cement "cell block" and would bark wildly when people walked by, and scared everyone. The shelter staff was desperate for her to be adopted, and promised she was a sweet girl, dog and cat friendly - and SAFE with humans including kids. They actually brought a kitten out and put it in her face to show us how gentle she was. They also told us a story of how a shelter worker had tripped and fallen over her when she first arrived, and thought their life was over, but she just cowered down and was gentle. We brought her home the same day we visited, and she was an amazing teddy bear of a girl, protecting my daughters who were in elementary school. Lovely girl lived a full life until she finally passed from Cushing's Syndrome. Miss that girl!
My daughter and I volunteered for several years for the largest no-kill shelter in AZ. The Arizona Animal Welfare League. They too pull dogs and cats from other shelters statewide. They also care for and adopt out exotics. Love what you do!
Helping with these beautiful dogs find a loving home is so beautiful, I just wish they could stop the abuse and let other states adopt outside their state, a lot of room in other places could save so many. Love watching your loving hearts. Thank you for doing what you are doing.
Odin is such a precious pup. Also, thank you for highlighting Lucky. I am hoping Odin finds his forever home soon. So happy that Lucky got adopted Rocky, thank you for everything you and your team do! You are wonderful human beings.❤

Odin is absolutely stunning! And so intelligent too, you can see that behind his eyes. So so clever. Perfect name for him too, I hope he finds an amazing forever home 🥰
Thank you for voicing the connection that we should treat people this way too, not forcing interactions or physical contact. That’s honestly one of the reasons I like watching these videos. Setting a good example for us all.
Thanks for all the work you do to help these dogs,We need more people like you. I am old and disabled now, otherwise I would do that too. i used to rescue, rehabilitate and release wildlife plus volunteered in the office and it was just the best time of my life. I miss it terribly.God bless you and all the animal lovers on this channel.❤❤🐕🐶🐶🙏
It took dog catchers 6 weeks to catch my little rescue. She was indeed an escape artist who had no fear whatsoever. She’s now 7 and does not run off any more. She is so smart. I only need her to put her toys away after she pulls them out of her toy box. My friend was able to train his half Shepard and half wolf dog to clean up after himself. She was beautiful and the smartest dog I ever met.
LoL 😂 I looked after a Italian greyhound, I put away his toys as I was putting thim in his 🧸 toy basket he'd be getting them back out LoL 🤣 use crack me up. Trying to tidy up and just be getting them all back out again. Think it was a fun game to him lol😂
You do great work!! Don't let the idiots, who think they are experts, a second thought. I'm sure they're not taking the time to make an animal feel safe and happy.
Obviously some of those people don't understand. Dogs need reassurance. Once they feel safe, they will happier and come up front to say hi to others❤❤❤

It seems like he doesn’t know what a toy is or what sit is ? When he seems ultra intelligent and he is so sweet which contrast with how scared he was He is going to make someone the best dog❤
The breed is very intelligent but very, very skittish around strangers. Not in a way such that they will bite or act out, but very wary and afraid. They are highly devoted to their owners.
Oden... Absolutely breathtaking and emotional moment when I seen him. I had a girl named Sheba and she looked like a twin to this handsome guy! I lost Sheba many years ago but, her picture is on my fridge to this day. She was a malemute whiskey mix and an amazing girl. Man I miss her so much. He’s a beautiful boy, I hope he finds a good home
He's so pretty, what a handsome boy. I hope he finds a loving home soon, thanks again Rocky and team for showcasing these beautiful animals.
Those eyes are hypnotic. What a beautiful/handsome dog.
Those beautiful eyes are hypnotic. Thanks Rocky for being the dude you are.
Odin's eyebrows are EVERYTHING!! 💜
They really are!
Majestic,he needs Love and cuddles!!!❤❤❤❤
He has such expressive eyes. What a beautiful dog.
He is beautiful like our Odin. He will be a loyal and loving boy when he gets to his furrever home
Odin is such a good boy!!! I love that he knows his name.
Thank you for Educating the community. We project our human mindset and feelings onto dogs. Once you get a dog to live in the moment ….you’ve changed the brain….as Cesar always says.
There’s something incredibly special about Odin❤️❤️. Big thank you to whoever adopted beautiful Lucky❤️❤️
@@AndrinaDeBeer-ft8oc what haters? I don’t see a single negative comment on this section…
@@XavierAway I was commenting on what Rocky said himself in this video.God bless
@@AndrinaDeBeer-ft8oc he didn’t comment on any “haters” in the video…
Such a strikingly beautiful boy. Odin is a wonderful name for him. Blessings to Lucky too, glad he now has a home. xx
I had a dog a long time ago, Toby, who came from a rescue centre here in the UK; we had no idea what mixture of breeds he was.
Odin is a great name. But how did they all miss the obvious option to name this guy Zorro?
How can anyone not fall in love with Odin? He is a beautiful sweetheart ❤
My pitbull's name is Odin. He watches YT with me, and he really perked up when he heard his name this time!
Cute!
What a beautiful boy! He looks like he will be so happy to have his own family ❤
Now, what do the dogs think about it?🤔
@@dorotabarbowska2184 Lol, I was ready to say this as well, chartreuse is a color you should never use too much of, less is better.
I love it too! such a happy color!
@@chowter Just curious, are you an artist?
@@dorotabarbowska2184Dogs are partially colour blind. They only have two cones in their eyes while humans have three. Dogs can only see blue and yellow not red and green.
He’s soooo pretty 😍😍😍 I’ve been watching your videos for almost 10 years now. My soul dog passed away about 15 months ago and your videos have been really helpful. Thank you for all you do!!
I'm sorry. I know how hard that is and am glad you are here right now.
Isn’t he a pomsky?
0:46 their face looks so much like a cat face! I know they are not a cat, but they look so unique ❤
Even if you only spend 30 minutes with a dog, you are creating a spark in the dog so their true self can be shown and maybe potential adopters to see and adopt these wonderful dogs.
I love that you spend time with these dogs! I am a huge dog lover and my heart breaks when they are hurting. Thanks for doing this!
Agree!!!🫶🫶🫶💖💖💖💖
Odin is so precious and what a sweetheart. Hope someone comes soon to give him his forever home ❤❤❤
I like Zoro better than Odin😂.
Sounds like what happened my dog.
Would take him right now. How beautiful. Great Work!
My daughter and I volunteered for several years for the largest no-kill shelter in AZ. The Arizona Animal Welfare League. They too pull dogs and cats from other shelters statewide. They also care for and adopt out exotics. Love what you do!
Wow,awesome!!! Thank you for all your love, service to the precious animal critters!!!🫶🥰🐶🤎🫂☮️
Thank you Haven, for using your shelter, to take the pressure off other shelters; that's amazing. Hope this beautiful boy finds his forever home.
Such an expressive face!
He is stunningly gorgeous! So sad to see him got abandoned.
I love Odin the adorable mini husky, and he loves that you spent some time with him. Thank you Rocky and team for making a huge difference in animals lives. Your lifesavers and very much appreciated!
Odin you are beautiful ❤❤ such a good boy❤❤
"That's why I make my treats tearable" Hahaha what a sentence! Thank you Rocky and Team, for being there to help animals in need
You are the best with ALL animal, God Blessing you. Thanks.
I love him… so handsome ❤❤❤ Thank you Rocky❤❤
Odin is absolutely stunning! And so intelligent too, you can see that behind his eyes. So so clever. Perfect name for him too, I hope he finds an amazing forever home 🥰
Rocky you are so kind to be helping this dog.
What a beautiful dog - those eyes melt my heart 🥰 !! I miss my Husky- Shepherd😢.
I guess Odin is a Husky-Shepherd.
I think that is the mix on Oden
Klee Kai. 😀
❤❤❤
Pomsky
He is gorgeous. Reminds me of my Siberian Husky I had as a teenager. So smart and beautiful.❤
He is beautiful!!! And how about those eyes, Wow. I would take him if I could. Prayers for the right person to adopt him. An amazing dog 🐕 ❤❤❤❤
You do great work!! Don't let the idiots, who think they are experts, a second thought. I'm sure they're not taking the time to make an animal feel safe and happy.
You are so right about needing to let the dog move towards being touched rather than forcing him! Thank you for your wisdom👏
Obviously some of those people don't understand. Dogs need reassurance. Once they feel safe, they will happier and come up front to say hi to others❤❤❤
Beautiful dog! Deserves a loving home and family.
Congrats to Lucky on getting adopted! I hope he's going to a great forever home! Odin, especially, too!
Appreciate what you do for these helpless pups. With all the noise and chaos in the world, it's refreshing to see good people making positive contributions. Much respect
What a gorgeous pup! He’s my dream dog…but alas I am in Sweden so I will just have to send out fantastic vibes to bring him to a good home!🤗😍
He acts like he doesn't know what toys are, but does know that some people are ok. He must have an interesting back story! What a beautiful boy!
I can’t believe you get negative comment regarding your wonderful work. Thank God for you Rocky and all the other people who work in this field. I can’t thank you enough for what you do for these wonderful fur babies.
Jan from Cornwall in UK 🇬🇧
WTH feel sad after he leaves! He lets them know there are people in this crappy world who cares. I like animals so much more then people. Thank you Rocky for all you do n everyone who works there❤❤❤❤❤
Odin's adopters are so lucky, they are getting a very special dog, you can just tell he will be an amazing companion.
I just looked up Klee Kai and there is a picture of one of them that looks just like Odin❤️ I am praying he gets adopted soon💕🐾
Yes! I just looked that breed up and he looks just like one. Awesome.
Not a Klee Kai. They’re much smaller than this.
@nikidavis8118 Klee Kai dad here, Odin is not one I have videos of my girl on YT
Well hello Gorgeous! 😍 You're so lucky to have Rocky and the shelter on your side. I'll bet the applicants come in droves, knocking down the proverbial door to get you into the fur-ever home of your dreams. You are in the hearts of many without a doubt. 😘
Odin is so handsome. What a sweet boy! Hopefully he finds his forever home soon.
You make me so happy, YOU ALL ROCK! Love the color on the walls, its healing. Oden is a very wise soul. Best of the Best here! Bless you all!
Namaste
Beautiful doggy. ❤ He's really paying attention to your movements and your voice. He's smiling as she read his bio!
I love your comment. You are my people. I miss my dog so so much.she died age 17 of cancer almost 4 years ago and it still hurts so deeply. I love what u do and how u go out of your way for these fur babies! U are an angel! A true blessing to the world! Don't ever change! Sadly we have the same situation in the uk so many dogs need homes.
Ignore dumb and hateful comments Rocky! You are an amazing amazing human and do more good for these beautiful animals than anyone could ever understand. So much love and light your way!
I pray someone loves this guy as much as I loved her.
Those eyes are mesmirizing what a gorgeous boy he is. May he find the most awesome, loving & amazing home ever❣️
It's so wonderful to see rescue dogs being treated with so much love, compassion and understanding. It's beautiful to see them realise they are safe and loved ❤️
