  • Working in the shop. We swap the bag extractor over from a trailer to 3-Point, then start moving the last bags into bins. Lots if hay being moved now too!

    Good old Zerbe's shop. I loved going there with my grandpa when I was a little kid. He'd wait for parts and I would look at new Versatile tractor brochures. I think he bought a 300 brand new in '73, maybe. I'd never seen anything so big. :-)

  • @oldtireman4665

    I have just watched three different farm channels and I am convinced that although they all may have a bazillion dollars worth of equipment, absolutely nothing would get done without the indispensable aid of a skid loader. Whether it’s moving ag tires, combine header carts or other mundane chores, the lowly skid loader is involved.

    Tony just some advice put a rubber flap over the back hooper chute that you can lift out of the way. If you haul when the roads are slushy it will blow in the chute and freeze. Just saying from experience.

    If you do much 3 point work, a hydraulic top link is the “cat’s meow.” It makes hooking up a lot easier, and is so nice to make adjustments via hydraulic cylinder.
    If you don’t use the 3 point much, it’s probably not worth buying a hydraulic top link, unless you get a really good deal on it.

    • @FastAgMontana
      @FastAgMontana  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Obviously we don’t do much 3 point since it was rusted in place and the handle is gone. Those look like an awesome way to go though.

    • @45Deere9500
      @45Deere9500 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FastAgMontana
      I haven’t seen you use much 3 point equipment, if any, before now. We’ve had top links get hard to turn, if we haven’t adjusted them in awhile. Add in dust and maybe some rust from being out in the rain, and they can be a pain to break free. I understand why you used the skid steer like you did.
