    So, is it just me or did the crown seem to be growing on El Rey's head? Like, it starts as a crown but, by the end, it looks more like a helmet.
    Maybe the crown is slowly consuming El Rey himself.

      @ryujin8754 6 ปีที่แล้ว +45

      Yeah, probably. I won't be suprised if the crown started to control him after it ate the wizard. You could say that this event turned on the crown.

      Well El Rey does mean "The King", maybe the crown is like say *insert your typical thing that is suppose to help you ends up controlling you* sorts of deal and "El Rey" is just how the crown's entity calls itself.

    There was something I noticed about the environment as El Ray was killing all those wizards. The environment around the Castle used to be lush and fertile. But as more and more wizards were sacrificed, the more desert like the area became. What do you suppose that's all about?

    As El Ray consumed the magic people, the nature areas died and dulled. Perhaps that castle was his old castle and after consuming the magic people he also consumed the life energy of the sorrounding landscape

      One could say that whoever put the crown on top of that castle and rigged all the traps and monster could be trying to hide the treasure....but one could also say (Quote the Guardian of Frostmourne in Warcraft: "No. Trying to protect you, from IT.")
      It was fairly obvious that the crown has it own mind, since El Rey showed surprise and looked scared when the crown eat the wizard, then hesitantly put it back on his head.

    Your episodes are always so informative.
    When watching the Nomad episode, it gave me a Samurai Jack feeling. Some episodes had flashbacks that didn't match the normal animation style and some episodes had little to no dialogue in them.
    Wait... "X-Ray and Vav" had blood in it?

  • @BPgamemaster12

    In the part where we see the Governors, it's clearly look like the crown is fusing/taking over El Rey body. There 's an good chance that when we see El Rey in the present, the Crown will have completely covered his body and the man El Rey will be gone with the demonic will Crown being left.
    Also from what Don Paragon said, it sounds like all the Governors were given some magical mojo from El Rey so they could have some special tricks up their sleeves for when they fight the Nomad.

    "Six seasons and a movie" is just a reference to Community, I doubt they actually have that much planned for NoN, and you can tell by the fact he added "In all seriousness" after saying that.

    • @ryujin8754
      @ryujin8754 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I believe so too.
      In all honesty I can't imagine six seasons for Nomad of Nowhere. The amount of content this series would have to have is enormous! And as far as I can tell there's not enough of mystery, story and interesting characters to make it work without boring us to death.
      Personally I think that this series will have at best four seasons and no more. And I think that'd be enough. Although I wonder what they could do for the movie (if it wasn't a joke), I mean, perhaps more traditional animation (frame by frame) and less rig using? That'd be cool... Yes, I'm into animation.

      No, it's a reference to the first episode(or maybe season, doesn't matter, still before Rick and Morty) of Community, which was actually planned to have six seasons and a movie before NBC cancelled the series.

    There is the theory that the Nomad is a golem, like one of the random items he brings to life. We haven't really seen what he looks like has everything but eyes is covered with his clothing. He also can't talk. Additionally he is able to merrily stroll across the desert without food or water and unaffected by the heat. This could explain why he has lived for 100 years.
    It's possible that when he brings something to life he puts a piece of himself in the vessel. If the vessel is destroyed before he can reclaim it then that piece is lost forever, which is why he mourns them.

    Six seasons and a movie is a meme/joke from Community (the TV show) so don't bet on that being accurate.
    Also I personally don't think the nomad is human. I think he is a creation (like the ones he brings to life) that was brought to life by a previous "nomad" (the one in the wanted poster) for some reason like he has dying or something. It explains his native "newborn" nature, him being a mute (his creations can't talk) , the reason my he hides himself in cloths, reason why in the first episode he had those flash backs (it was his creator's memories), why we have never seen him eat and why he feels bad seeing his own creations die since he himself is a creation.

    Our of curiosity, do any of you think the Y'dala might be Nowheres version of Elves. They are confirmed to have a longer lifespan, unknown if it's just a few years, similar to Tolkiens Dunidane, or centuries, and that they do have dagger ears. Just my crack theory.

  • @chrisj403

    This episode made me think, I'm certain that the Nomad is a being compromised of entirely magical energy. He seems to have unlimited magic, doesn't need to eat, or drink anything, and if he was an embodiment of magic it would explain that. That's also why he seemingly doesn't have a face.
    Also, I now think there is no evil Nomad, the poster was probably made to make him look bad so everyone would be more inclined to bring him in. El Rey needs magic beings, so of course he would do whatever it takes to get the Nomad.

    Maybe the Nomad put his magic into the crown, hence the eye, but put so much magic into it, it gained it's own magic, so while the Nomad can create life, the crown rejuvenates/enhances it. Whether he did it on purpose or by accident, I'm not sure, BUT the crown turned him into the Nomad we saw in the first episode's wanted poster, and made him absorb other magic users powers to fuel his own.
    When he realised what the crown was doing to him, the Nomad took it off, saw all the damage he had done and fled in fear and shame, BUT not before setting some traps so no one would ever use it. I guess before that he was the Nomad we all know and love now.
    Now, the crown has been turning El Rey into the same as Evil Nomad, and enhanced four of his most trusted guardians in some way, corrupting them as well. the reason El Rey wants the Nomad is because his magic is starting to fail again, and if he doesn't, he'll have to kill the Y'Dala, so Toth is trying to find the Nomad because so El Rey will absorb him instead of her people, so that's her deal with Don Paragon.
    That's all I got.

  • @holtonh
    @holtonh 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    I think this episode proves the Nomad is more than likely NOT EVIL. It is easy to see that the current mentality of El Ray however is. As of right now lets just call the Nomad and the wizards in the story beings of magic, or a person/thing born/created from magic. El Ray is not one of these beings his magic seems to come from the crown which after extended use will run out of magic. The Crown can consume these beings of magic to recharge, how does this relate to the Nomad not being evil you ask.
    El Ray needs magical beings to power his crown -> It is frequently stated the Nomad is one of, if not the last, magical being -> The Nomad has been un-findable for about 100 years (we can assume knowledge of his existence and general appearance were known prior to this) -> El Ray wants to consume the Nomad for his magic so he can take it for his own -> As king El Ray makes magic illegal and places bounties on their heads -> when creating a poster for the Nomad no one knew exactly what he looked like so to create incentive take the general look of what people tell of the Nomad and crank up the fear factor.

    • @holtonh

      I know I sound smuggy in this but this is my opinion (/counter argument) about the Nomad possibly being evil.

    I was thinking what if 100 years ago the nomad knew of what el Ray was doing and he decided to stop him. In his fight with el Ray he probably went all out which is where the picture from the wanted poster came from. I think that the nomad unfortunately lost the fight and he also lost some of his memories which could explain why he doesn't remember how his magic works and things about the world. Even though the nomad lost the fight he was able to escape and hide away somewhere before he was consumed by el Ray. After the difficult fight against the nomad, el Ray knew the nomad was a threat so he but a bounty on his head so he could stop him and take his magic once he was captured.

    One thing I couldn't help but notice is that the symbol for the southernmost governor looks like it's sucking water out of the ground. It's like a clubs sign with tubes coming out of the ground. Given how close the "swamp" area is to the oasis, or rather, how close it is to the area we know to be desert, I wonder if that means they've been sucking the resources of that area dry. Like people have been pointing out, the more wizards El Rey ate, the less vegetation there seemed to be (though it could be because the wizards were the ones who creates or maintained the vegetation in the first place, and their death meant that there was no one left to do that anymore), so it does stand to reason that magic may eat up the resources of the land, possibly explaining why the parts of Nowhere that we've currently seen are desert in the first place.

    what u think of my theories:
    -the nomad was the gunslinger whom survived by sacrificing his voice and memory.
    -the crown eat magic and currently also corrupting him as seen that a crown covers his other eye I pressume that the nomad will bring the crown to life. or not considering it eats life and magic or storing life and magic

    I'm not sure if this has been mentioned in the show or not, maybe in the previous episode, but maybe the nomad was created by someone, most likely a magician. If he was man-made, then maybe he was sheltered due to fear of being hunted down by El Ray early. Another idea in this theory is involving his emotional investment in his creations that you mentioned. Maybe he took a page out of his creators book who could have taken good care of the nomad when he was made. I just started thinking deeply about this so if anyone would like to add onto or disprove anything in this then please do

    the crown instantly reminded me of Ice King's crown from adventure time. like a lot. Maybe the crown itself isn't evil, but consumes the power of others, and in so doing rejuvenates the wizard wearing it...and realizing this, the king El Rey becomes hungry for more power. it almost looks like he tries to prevent himself from re-setting the crown on his head after it consumes the first wizard, but quickly fails the test of will and succumbs to his greed for power and magic.

    This episode in the show made it from a fun show to something I will show my children when I have them. If you look in the tapestry flashback, you see as the wizards are eaten the world grows less and less lush and fertile. To add on that, in the map you see on the right compass with the luna gunman (Its what I'll call him) the top of his coat of arms has smokestacks, which will be really interesting to see.
    Also when Skout got hit by the Rhino Blitz, I was like "Man it would be so awesome if she was really hurt and bleeding from that solid smack." Then it cuts to the rhino dying by a knife to the eye, showing blood, which made me sit up, and then i saw Skout there. Bleeding. It was probably the second best moment in the show so far with the best being the reveal of El Rey's Origins.

    I think that when you use magic, it costs something, possibly when you intend to do something bad with it, or just overall. When El Ray sought to gain more power, it's possible that his heart was taken from him in exchange for more power, making him the way he is. The Nomad could've asked for more power, or the opposite. (Seeing how his only ability is to bring inanimate objects to life) With his wish, his speech and/or memory could have been taken from him, explaining why he can't talk while clearly being able to understand speech, and why he seems so unfamiliar with everything.

    Is it possible that the nomad is a part of elrey that the crown expelled possibly the good part which would explain why we can’t see his face he’s a fusion of magic and emotions like a shadow of what he once was or maybe he was created by all the wizards that where absorbed like they used whatever power they had left and created the nomad to destroy the crown and free elrey

    I've got a theory
    The nomad's original wanted poster looks like he'd also be a creation of el Ray and could of been a fifth general but he's lost his way and became human again through solitude, which explains why his wanted poster looks so demonic and why el Ray wants him, because he's defected or betrayed him in some way.

    Maybe the nomad is a magical/cursed being, possibly from el Rey's past? And that light is the curse being reversed?

  • @voidtv8401
    @voidtv8401 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I believe the Nomad himself is pure magic. He is an enchanted set of clothes, whose body consists... of magic. It explains his eyes, the persistent shadow on his face even when he’s looking at the Sun, his never eating apparently, the strange way he moves, the glow in his chest when he does certain things, his connection between his objects and himself, and why he would be so useful to El Ray. He is PURE MAGIC. Every magic user bestowed upon the Crown before has been someone who uses magic, but still is limited by their humanity. Who knows how much life he could pull from magic so strong that it creates a seemingly infinite sentient being?

    Well, the movie could either be something like a bonus, or the true finale, where after they beat el rey, the face perhaps the true evil? or maybe even nomad himself

    Could the Crown actually contain the Nomads true power? Like the Nomad from the poster washim from the time he was an all powerful being but chose to relinquish his full power into the Crown but he kept the ability to animate as it was one that was far too dangerous, he also kept it to animate the Crowns defenses.

    I have a theory that El Rey and the Nomad are two parts of the same person. Notice when just after the crown sucks up the first wizard, the elderly El Rey seems repulsed by the crown. What if there was an unintentional side effect of the crown possessing El Rey, who was a good man before the possession, and the good part of El Rey became the Nomad, and the dark side of El Rey (everyone possesses some darkness within them) wore the crown. When the split happened, somehow some of the crown's magic became part of the Nomad, and the Nomad lost all memory of what happened. Not sure how he would have gotten away, but, yeah, it's a theory.

  • @FaradornTardis

    As for the theory of who or what the nomad is, I doubt he's actually a person at all. I think he himself is a creation made in the same way he makes others. This explains his inability to talk and the emphasis on him hiding his appearance. Maybe he was an object bound to someone else's emotions and eventually managed to escape. I also don't thing the nomad will do other magic. By bringing other objects to life he's just replicating what was done to him. Or maybe even just extending the spell to include others.

    I think I just realized why El Rey really wants the Nomad, what if he doesn't want to feed the Nomad to the crown? What if instead he wants the Nomad to use the critters he creates as a way to feed the crown?

  • @kylezach9978
    @kylezach9978 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think because El Rey used the crown so much that once her was an old man, the crown lost it powers. And other magic sources is what keeps t going, like the wizard it consumed.

    After watching the first episode and the [then unreleased] second, I came to a conclusion that the Nomad isn’t human, y’dallan, or anything. He is a being of pure magical energy, which would explain why when his limbs move, they’re so wobbly, as if they don’t have any joints, unlike the y’dallans and humans we’ve seen in the show. But I also came up with an opposite theory which could somewhat counter this. The Nomad could have been a human “over a hundred years” prior to his bounty first being put on him, order to survive, because he knew that he is or was bound to be one of the last magical beings, he used his magic to extend his life, which, since we don’t know the boundaries and limits of magic in this universe, could have made his form unstable. This could explain the glowing in his chest after performing good deeds.

    What if the Nomad was 'created' by the Udolons? Like maybe when word of El Rey draining all the magic from others reached the Udolons, fearful that their race would be targeted next, as a means of keeping their magic alive and away from El Rey, they pooled together all their magic and made the Nomad and then hid him away so that El Rey wouldn't find him. Like the Nomad is the living embodiment of the Udolon's magic in the flesh and he's the missing piece that El Rey needs in order to become all powerful or something like that. A pretty weird theory but just wanted to toss it out there.

    So the gun wielder in my opinion kind of looks like the Nomad so this is just a theory i have so maybe the reason the Nomad has such a high bounty is that he was the gun wielder and if you saw it looked like El Ray gave each of the four governors magic like how Don talk about the benefit of being a govonor so maybe the orginal poster wasn't lying and he did look like that when he was one of the governors and maybe the whole reason he left was because of the person who looked like scout. Now I know all of this sounds crazy or dumb but tell me your opinion and be respectful thank you.

    What if the Nomad we know is not the true nomad?? What if the Nomad made a Golem as he died, transferring the last of his magic to it? The nomad clearly cannot speak, and he doesn’t look human or yadalan. The forest he was in had a sign that said ‘Don’t Leave’ and ‘DON’T ENTER’, keeps the golem in, keeps outsiders out, and the last place with vegetation and life? Remember how as El Ray killed more wizard plant life was disappearing, and yet there was a forest left with the last magical being in it and some thickest vegetation seen thus far?? The old poster is propaganda against the Nomad, El Ray’s biggest enemy?(there’s also the possibility the nomad turned himself into some form of golem(to live forever and defeat El Ray) although that would be pretty weird)

    My theory is the nomad obtained a magical item he used it then went on a search for magic killing innocents (hence the power hungry spiritual poster) then he used his magic too much and reversed his mental age

  • @lil_ursa
    @lil_ursa 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    My theory is that the Nomad isn’t 100 years old. But he was rather reborn due to someone else’s magic. Skout’s magic, but she also was reborn. This would explain that weird flashback in episode 1 as it the forest seemed like plains while the house was intact and Skout was, well, d I f f e r e n t . But the idea is that a bounty hunter already collected the bounty in the past because the nomad was actually evil, or at least before he met *that* skout. This bounty hunter not wishing to take credit however, as he hated el Rey, never confirmed the kill. The nomad did die however in their battle, but *that* skout knew a spell that could do some rebirth shit like that, and being mortally wounded herself, using it on both of them.
