I got a little seasick there for a moment... Surplus gear is pretty darn durable if you want something for a long time, gain some memories with it and pass it off to your children. Still have my surplus gear from the 80s. Absolutely love the stuff and enjoy using it.
Military Surplus stores in the 80’s & 90’s used to be just that, lots of ACTUAL Military Surplus. My local spot is good for surplus BDU’s for work on the cheap, but I haven’t come across a place in years that wasn’t 95% Brand New Overpriced Chinese-Made “MilSpec” gear for the Airsoft Crowd.
Cameraman had only one job....too much twirling around and too much sudden jerking moves with the camera before you get a chance to actually focus on what is being shown. Next time, whatever you're filming, stay on the item for a few moments so we can see what the fuck you're filming. Walking down and changing aisles while filming with your phone tends to get very dizzy 😵 Other than that, looks like a pretty good store.
I still have my field jacket issued to me in 02/72. My combat boots wore out which was too bad because once broken in they were the most comfortable. I would love to find another pair and a field jacket that would fit my 70 year old body as opposed to the one issued when I had an 18 year old body.
A lot of the times there's someone who knows a lot of history about this especially in the bigger stores and some of the smaller bigger towns like Kentucky and other places like that in the mountains so if you ever have the opportunity to talk to the owner or talk to the Sun or talk to someone who knows the stuff ask him what the history about this is ask him what was used for ask him why he has his name to find out there's a lot there's a lot of different people who kind of use the same stuff around the same time of the first war and the second war but they were pointed by different names this Pansear are very very very very very warm very very great sometimes in difficult to clean but you want to kind of maintain it with a horse brush
I know that people who've been there have singing what I just saw but I will state that in a minute it's not uncommon to find other uniforms here like the Sweden uniform or the red army uniform are the Polish uniform or American uniforms from today and before they sell a little of everything because there are collectors and people who do War plays where they re-enact the war and sometimes Vines aren't uniform is hard to come by so these people do buy them is it common to find them at American Store you may have a 85% of running into a different uniform running into a different uniform but it's not uncommon and again very small Works stores and smaller parts of town have them I have not ever run into them in the bigger towns I'm not saying it's uncommon but you do run into them sometime
If it was sweet and it would be silver and green it's not it's just silver that mean it was made by the poem and Poland had really good equipment of keeping warm around the war that is one thing that they were really good at making they were really good at making very comfortable really cold winter gear you can actually have a heat stroke in some of the gear because they were made for almost 15 below or colder than that cuz for some reason they thought that they were going to fight their balls off in freezing weather
Those are not Sweden pants there are polish pants and they tip we go in the main uniform of a Polish officer's trousers they're made to keep him warm they're very very great pants they're made of 100% they're really great but they're not one size fit all they're a size and good luck wearing them

That helmet he just shows the white one it's not called a piss helmet it was a helmet designed for the Marine Corps for the environment for the jungles and deserts in the outback of Australia Africa and kind of that environment it was not made for anything else it was it was called something else and I can't remember it what it's called but basically it was their jungle / Africa helmet for the Marine Corps and for some reason the name is not ringing a bell but I do know what it looks like and I do know what it is called and it has a normally a black normally has a black Insignia the Marine Corps insignia of the eagle and anchor
Why he's running his gum I have no idea he is 100% dead while on what a surplus store looks like I have been into surplus stores I have actually went in modified not only my uniform but my mother's father's uniform when we went to bury him I went to a couple different surplus stores on base and off base and I can tell you that they don't look like this 98% of the time 95% they are actually more put together more organized especially if you're in a bigger town like Kentucky Texas Ohio or Tennessee or Georgia or Florida if you're in a nicer town that has more military specialty Marine Corps Army and Air Force and Coast Guard you're going to have a lot more options they have a lot of different things they have surplus stores that have gear that are hunting shooting fishing survival gear military gear law enforcement gear they even sell knives and Firearms at some of these and then they have some are just military gear. Or law enforcement gear. Or medical gear. So you really need to know the surplus store that you go in because not every surplus stores the same and a lot of them have different gears in different time zones and a lot of the gear is dated especially if it's older if it's from World War 1 World War II Vietnam Desert Storm or elac wore it is typically dated with a date and the time it was made in the company that made it some of them are you some of them are brand new they tell you what is use the equipment or where they got but a lot of them come from auction a lot of them come from different places they're good gear but you need to know what you're looking for you need to also know what you're buying on what you're trying to put together some of the time they'll even sold the stuff on your uniform or so self with your uniform if you know what you're trying to put together but it's not free they will charge you for it
