- Unboxing to lots of surplus from the Canadian Army. These bins originated from Ottawa Ontario. If your interested in purchasing anything from these boxes you can find my email on my TH-cam channel under the ABOUT tab. The article I found can be read here.

i came for the bushcraft and the surplus. stayed for the aprons and the Australian kit
SORD makes great gear - ex SF guy makes it.
I can confirm, on certain Afg deployments, groups of soldiers were issued trial plate carriers and/or tac vests. I saw it on my 2 tours. Also, the BHP is issued to the Australians as well as us. The Brits only just changed over to Glocks circa 2012-ish. We're replacing the BHP with Sig 320s. I don't know what the Aussies are going for (likely one of those 2 that I mentioned). Many people have opinions about the BHP - good and bad. The 2 times I deployed to Afg I shot the qual with a perfect score and was perfectly happy with the BHP for what it's intended use was - a back up to the primary weapon; the rifle. Most people who blather about it don't know much about pistol shooting.
You scored big on this shipment! Some neat stuff in there! A lot of 82 frames have shown up lately, personally Ill keep my old C2 frame!
Very nice haul,Tell! I’m looking at picking up a five man tent, this year.
SORD is an Aussie Company that sell gear to overseas Military, Police and anyone that wants to look tacticool 😎👍🏻🇦🇺
Thanks
I have personally bought alot of gear from them. Quality stuff for sure
These are fun videos. Not sure why, but they are super interesting to me! Thanks for sharing.
I'm glad you enjoy them.
Love these video's brother! Fun commentary, and educational as well.
Imagine being the former Canadian Reg Force soldiers, seeing your SORD chest rig and your other Molle kit in the video (I'm surprised the CM735 helmet and the Molle stuff was in that package, very lucky!)
Nice haul Tell. Good to c u. Cheers 🍻
Great score!
The Australian Defence Force does still use the FN Hi Power as well.
I had read in articles a few years ago that the Canadian army had trialed SORD SCS plate carriers and gear from Tactical Taylor, I'm not sure if they were ever adopted though.
Seeing the chest rigs is very cool. Maybe they were from the trial as well.
Good stuff....as usual and as expected
There is a chance that the Canadian military was just trying the gear from Australia, found it too expensive and liquidated the gear.
BTW nothing wrong with Browning Hi Powers, very reliable.
Nice haul!
Thanks for the video
Great video!!! I'm a sucker for sleeping bags!!!
SORD is made by an ex Aussie SF guy.
I have quite a bit of their kit - well designed and made.
Their website is worth a look.
Thanks
Nice haul
FWIW another correct term for those boxes is a gaylord. I take every opportunity to use the correct term at work LOL
I need another Gaylord in my life
Morning mate. Nice one. Ya never know what you're gonna find. Lol
Ah, yes the SORD chest rig, right now that's mostly used by Reg force or those deployed overseas along with a weird Molle version of the tac vest, tho sadly the Reserves r still stuck with the regular Tac vest, tho mag dump pouches and reflex mag inserts can fix that problem.
I'm interested in the arctic tent liner if it's a 10 man tent liner. Also, if you ever get the modular tent either the split end or two door end liners, I'm interested. The blackout curtain was used at HQ, Sigs and Medical tents on the 2 door ends to block out light escaping as people went in or out of the tent at night. .(back in the cold war era). Thanks.

You've likely figured it out by now, but the TT MAV chest rig and harness go together. Excellent finds.
Thanks
Hey~ bravo! you id unusual shots. :))
My home town

Its possible they could've used the Tac gear in Iraq or Afghanistan Ya never know
Thanks for explaining that it’s pronounced „pooooch“ instead of „pouch“ 😂😊
what does a bin cost?
Too much 😂
I all depends on whats in it and how many people are bidding on it. They can go from $70 to $1000 a bin.
