I can confirm, on certain Afg deployments, groups of soldiers were issued trial plate carriers and/or tac vests. I saw it on my 2 tours. Also, the BHP is issued to the Australians as well as us. The Brits only just changed over to Glocks circa 2012-ish. We're replacing the BHP with Sig 320s. I don't know what the Aussies are going for (likely one of those 2 that I mentioned). Many people have opinions about the BHP - good and bad. The 2 times I deployed to Afg I shot the qual with a perfect score and was perfectly happy with the BHP for what it's intended use was - a back up to the primary weapon; the rifle. Most people who blather about it don't know much about pistol shooting.

There is a chance that the Canadian military was just trying the gear from Australia, found it too expensive and liquidated the gear.
BTW nothing wrong with Browning Hi Powers, very reliable.

    @naclworks5636 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The Australian Defence Force does still use the FN Hi Power as well.
I had read in articles a few years ago that the Canadian army had trialed SORD SCS plate carriers and gear from Tactical Taylor, I'm not sure if they were ever adopted though.
Seeing the chest rigs is very cool. Maybe they were from the trial as well.

Imagine being the former Canadian Reg Force soldiers, seeing your SORD chest rig and your other Molle kit in the video (I'm surprised the CM735 helmet and the Molle stuff was in that package, very lucky!)

Our Sqn 2ic was always 8CH exchange Capt.
    In Germany.
I still have one of the old green parkas which is brilliant but I can’t find the separate hood.
    I’m in London Uk.
    Any ideas?
Canadian army stuff was always good especially the tank crew short jackets.
I think they are quite sought after now.
    Wish I could find one.
    Nice video.
The QM departments always horde stuff.
Tentage is a great bargain if you can get the poles etc.
The army massive marquee systems are brilliant for parties and even wedding parties.

Ah, yes the SORD chest rig, right now that's mostly used by Reg force or those deployed overseas along with a weird Molle version of the tac vest, tho sadly the Reserves r still stuck with the regular Tac vest, tho mag dump pouches and reflex mag inserts can fix that problem.

I'm interested in the arctic tent liner if it's a 10 man tent liner. Also, if you ever get the modular tent either the split end or two door end liners, I'm interested. The blackout curtain was used at HQ, Sigs and Medical tents on the 2 door ends to block out light escaping as people went in or out of the tent at night. .(back in the cold war era). Thanks.

SORD is made by an ex Aussie SF guy.
I have quite a bit of their kit - well designed and made.
Their website is worth a look.

I all depends on whats in it and how many people are bidding on it. They can go from $70 to $1000 a bin.

Well buddy, you may see it as junk. I spent about $300 on that bin and made $1000 profit off it. Don't judge a book by its cover.
