I never realized just how huge the KV-2 is. They have one in the yard at the Central Army Museum in Moscow. When I saw it in Jan '93, the first thing that came to mind was, "precursor of the OGRE Mk I" It is literally a huge fortress turret on a massive tank chassis. If any of you get the chance to visit it...I would highly recommend it and the Monino Air Museum.
04:05 - Yep in 1942 the Germans captured 20x Churchill Mk1 2lber (40mm gun) stuck on the beach at Dieppe and their official report was “we have nothing to worry about from this new British tank”. Churchill Mk3 (57mm) and Mk6 (75mm) was a different story.
@@jamesrose1460 my dude the 2 pounder could penetrate the front armour of a panzer 3 at 1,000 meters, the panzer 3 was Germany's main combat tank in 1942, although it would be replaced in this purpose By the up gunned models of the panzer 4 in 1943, which could still be penetrated by the 2 pounder at 500 meters, although at that point of 2-pounder was largely replaced by the US 75mm M2 and the British 6 pounder, Both of which could comfortably Kill Panzer 4s at basically any range. Both of them remained in service as the main towed anti tank guns of the western allies until the end of war mostly because the British kept upgrading the ammunition for the 6 pounder allowing it to remain Quite effective against basically everything Germany or Italy could muster, for example famously using one To destroy Wittman's first tiger, before a Firefly Sherman put Wittman's second tiger and himself down like the Rabid dog he was, and the US....well basically never actually Faced any of the big cats because the German logistics system basically collapsed the second the USA touched down on Omaha, I mean they famously kind of only ever faced two tigers one of which got Bit**slapped by a pair of Shermans and the other which famously Bit**slapped the first Pershing before getting put down. So yeah the US 76 and the British 17 pounder were both technically deployed to infantry, but that's kind of like the biggest technicality ever, since that happened in 1944 and by that point the Allies had so many tanks and tank destroyers that anything that somehow survived the swarms and swarms of allied fighter bombers was quickly annihilated by the unstoppable wall of steel and cannons.

Fun fact for you, cows are actually extremely buoyant, it wouldn't take much to tie a group of cows together and steer them down a river. They would probably enjoy it

Challenge: Using the Churchill mark 1, you must decapitate poorly armored tanks only using the hull mounted front gun. Using the main cannon on larger more well armored vehicles and aircraft is allowed. Using the machinegun to decapitate tiny tanks is explicitly against the rules unless you are out of ammo for the main armament, but you MUST declare that you are out of ammo first.
Cow tipping is not a real thing, it's just something us country bumpkins tell our city friends so we can get a good laugh out of them running from a herd of cows in the middle of the night.
Aghhhhh seeing bo not use the HE bothers me so much because he totally wouldnt have overpenned if he was just using HE Which, using the HE proves effective because you can bonk the cupola of german vehicles etc or get some lucky shots underneath light targets

The KV sandwich at the statue almost succeeded in using the enemy jack-in-the-box turret as an anti-aircraft weapon.
Fun fact for you, cows are actually extremely buoyant, it wouldn't take much to tie a group of cows together and steer them down a river. They would probably enjoy it
