Either cocal or sportsman's lounge if you are determined to stay at a hotel.. I personally like airbnbs like the monacho becauss of the location and guest friendly ability

Safe is always relative to how you move . But I will say Costa Rica is the place with the most expats outside of the United States.. which should say a lot about the safety measures they take

I haven't been on new years but it was definitely a dope vibe when I went so perhaps ... as far as aggressive women I wouldn't be able to compare it to sosua because I haven't been but no the woman aren't as aggressive as a lot of other places I've been .. but they are friendly

Safe is relative and depends on how you carry yourself. I will say this though Costa Rica has the most United States expats in Central and South America..

As someone who brings an American girl with me on my travels, the ending put a big ass smile on my face because I know that feeling very well 😅.
We're doing a split trip next month, one half to Panama City, Panama and then we're trying to decide between Medellin, Cartagena, Jaco and San Jose to hit up for the second half.
Everybody has different preferences but would you recommend one city above any of the others? We love Sosua, DR and would love to find another spot like that if possible.

@mikeb2611 depends how much you want to spend .. if you speak spanish.. and the type of look you want.. Jaco is the most variety in Costa Rica but aa a first time traveler you may want to start somewhere like sosua. If you want ya first time to be guaranteed unbelievable when it comes to the ladies than I would say Cartagena Colombia
