Good old 6. Tan one some on a dragline job and smoothing out dirt. Sure was a smooth running rig. The regular operator said it was way too smooth when new and had to get it desensitized. And another old operator said they had one to skid with because it's go better than a D-4. That one has a fine sat of tracks and grousers tall to dig in and GO! Sw watch out for Pop while he's burning the road up with the R-model and you've knocked the 'car' out of gear to try and KEEP UP! BLESSINGS, YALL! Nice stand of pines too!
@@charleswalton5132 My grandfather bought this machine new. He had a Cat D4 and a Cat D6b. He sold the d4 and kept running the D6b along with the Allis Chalmers HD6. I’ve heard them say this particular dozer would out do the Cat D6b. It’s a stout little dozer
im not a allis man but that is a pretty good tractor worked on a lot of bigger ones co i worked for had lot of final trouble always thought allis had more than enough hp to destroy itself if you hunk the tracks down
First dozer I ever operated was a A C HD4. Loved it.
First dozer I ran was one of the HD11s we have.
Nice logging getting the job done Thanks James 😊😊😊
Looks like the right tool for the job. Impressive little machine, running like a logging horse through the woods. Nice !
Works slick as a whistle
That's what I learned on. Never forget. I will keep you busy driving it
I enjoyed the video, hope we get to see more !
Yep I’ll have a video of pushing dirt soon.
From inside operating view.
What a great machine and operator!
Nice hardworking machine
That Allis Chalmers can move pretty quick.
Sure does
I love those old AC tractors, I cut my teeth on a HD6 loader hand clutch and all the luxuries.
@@gradyyokeley9930 running a loader, you just about needed another set of arms haha

Good looking and sounding old dozer. I’ve owned a Cat D4d which would be the competition for your tractor and they are both nice models.

Wow, what a machine it is as fast as a new skid steer lol
Hello James loved the video I could watch that old girl work all day work horse that it is thank you ken
👍👍
Gostei muito da ferramenta top 💯😎
It does the job it’s intended to also, trust me.
For an older dozer, I would take an allis over a cat any day!
No importa lo vieja que sea la máquina, si está bien cuidada funciona como el primer día.
Absolutely
Who was running it in that vid? Smooth!
That was my Dad. He has ran that machine since he was old enough to reach the controls.
love the old HD's do you need an arch for that machine? I think i know where one is out here in southern oregon
@@darinhassett4708 we’ve got one. Took it off when we were logging some steep land so it wouldn’t bring the front off the ground.
What's the weight on that dozer?
@@kirkpalmer1709 about 14,000 pounds
My Autistic son liked the on screen foot notes at the beginning of the video. 👍🏻
@@maineman11 good to here, I did that because I had lost my voice.
I have and HD6 as well. What type oil do you use in the clutch?
10w. Hydrotran. Even 15w40 motor oil is fine.
Now some older HD6 dozer don’t have wet clutch and brakes.
Same year as our d4
