The Forest Job. The Oaks are coming down
Went back to watch the video of the walk around the yard and saw some new information and sent you a comment on it
The hood on the blue Mack looks like a later year say 77 or 78. I drove a 78 R 700 for a while and the company had about 20 of them and they all had that low fender on them and I think they replaced it with the Superliner soon after that 😉
Very cool
Oh... It definitely barked and growled at you! Congrats, great job getting it going again and thank you for sharing. Can't wait to see it moving on next episode! Long live the Bull Dog...
I got to see a Mack M100 in person. Largest off road Mack ever built
What a great family you all have. Really enjoyed the video. Hats off to you and your family for keeping the old Macks around and keeping them working!!
what Mack stands for: MACK mean Ass Cat Killer Gotta love them ole MACK trucks 😊
That ol beast was built to last. Your dad and uncle seemed more excited than anyone to get it running.
@@richardjohnson5883 oh yeah haha they enjoyed it
Atleast when I Bush Hog I have a bucket folded back close to the ground to warn me of big obstacles, that offset mower is Russian roulette. Looks like a managed field though.
@@PAYNEKILLER.. yeah pretty well know what’s there unless someone left something out there.. I recently hit a disc blade, with the old mower that had broken from the land owners disc and was left in the field.. why, idk
Awsome.
Awesome video thanks
@@raymondforbes7482 you bet
Man that bottom hose is kinked
@@jacobbuckley8232 i put the steel coil inside of it to keep it open, I was concerned about it but didn’t have anything else on hand to get it going. Turns out there was another hose that blew and started to spray coolant everywhere.
Breakin out the drone. Nice
Hello James family and friends excellent video you got to love that old iron no computer no pollution bull give her a little fuel spin her over and veeroom great job thank you ken
Нижний патрубок радиатора передавлен. Криворукий ставил.
Yeah it wasn’t a good fit but it’s what I had. I didn’t see that one leaking before hand
Those are the real deal bulldogs i grew up on real steeel no power. Steering or a.c just ruff driving hard trucks
Need more details. Back in the early 70s I was running bucket with some guys doing 95 by the Philly airport and they had those V8 Maxidynes turned up and they would take off like a car when loaded. In their day with that 5 speed they couldn’t be touched 😉
@@carldrexler7883 that’s what Dad says about the other one. It’s a 1971 with a 5 speed. This truck has a two stick 6 speed it’s a 1974. If you haven’t seen it watch my video Where I walk around the yard. I take a little closer look at them.
@@AppalachianRust wow you have a couple of real gems, your very fortunate to have them still around, keep them as long as you can 😉
@@AppalachianRust I saw that video I don’t remember all the details 🤷♂️
@@carldrexler7883 I just mentioned the years and transmissions. I can’t remember off hand the model of V8. This truck is a heavier truck than the 71. The 71 was a tractor and had a reyco suspension but they switched it to Mack suspension and made it into a dump. Said it never really did well being it was a light truck. Probably switch it back to a tractor sometime.
Good one James, keep it coming 👍 What is the tonnage capacity , looks like a 25 ton
They went from M15 to M100 trucks and from what I understand that’s the payload . So yeah around a 20 ton capacity or so.
She got the purr hasn’t she, sounds great. How’s the folks down there in the mountains doing, are they keeping warm and got full tummy’s? Look after one another won’t ye, the govt don’t seem to give a hoot, it comes down to friends and neighbours in the end. Kudos from Newfoundland.
That ‘ole gear getting resurrected turns my crank, she probably built the roads and highways you run on every day. Old iron history, timeless. Kudos from rainy old Newfoundland.
@@stevecaines8174 absolutely
Everytime old mack lives, a new plastic filled, computer driven one dies. I can guarantee the trucks we have on the road now will not start right up like that after sitting 20 years in the weeds. Just made my Friday. Looks like the same engine I have in my b model. 673 end p. I can see the split turkey foot intake in the one slip at the end.
@@williamwertman24 it’s a 711 but I don’t think that it’s much difference
@AppalachianRust ok. Yeah same intake as p
Great video
I love old iron. It's what was used to build this country!
FRIDAY MADE!!!! Let’s go son!!! I think you are gonna need a drone for your videos in the future! It’s nice to get that perspective in addition to what you’re doing. Keep it up - your channel is a good one!
@@israelswearingen8219 thanks I appreciate that a lot. Yes. I’m glad a friend got some cool shots with his drone. More in the next video when we drive it out the woods. I’ll have to invest in one.
When my family and friends got together years ago i wish i had videos of that now you can accomplish a lot in a day with all hands on deck another fun video Thankyou 😊😊😊
@@CharlesSmith-ty2ce Glad you enjoyed!
Mack has always been my favorite trucks the character of these 2 trucks is off the charts thanks for the video james God bless you guys 😊
@@MarkGrant-ew3wk thank you
Dang, I guess you should have brought a spare shirt. I mean I've had a radiator pour down on me before just like that, but the fluid didn't look anywhere near that nasty. 👍🏻
During a weekend gathering with friends and family we took the opportunity to get one of these old trucks running and everyone had a great time. There will be a second video of driving it around. (I need a little practice with it)… There are a few things still wrong that need to be fixed but I hope to get it back home and maybe do a little clean up work around the farm for some videos. Hope everyone enjoys and have a good day
It is alive! And you successfully emptied the mobile swimming pool. It's amazing how durable old trucks really were.
Fantastico, teamwork.
And I live in bluewell West Virginia I used to live in Roseville on the premiere and everything Welch high School school Welch Roosevelt and everything and I would like to know where you live because we might meet up someday that's how I got my CB handle the rubber duck from the movie and I start driving truck when I was 13 years old and I know how to do auto mechanic and diesel mechanic
Hey you said you live in West Virginia I live in West Virginia too I like to know where you live or anything cuz I like to work I've done the table with the max an auto car is an hour😊
@@CliffordThompson-t5e we are actually in Virginia. We did a decent size job in WV about 10 years back
Now that was a stuck branch.
Sweet
Im blessed to have been able to grow up in the late 90s and early 2000s to witness the pre emissions world
Oh wow that is just so cool these things are amazing
So you have good luck feeding that as hay? We tried to keep it out of hay. We did run a similar grass through the green chopper and feed to cows, but if it started getting in hay fields we would rotate that field out. Even if there was a little in the hay the animals left it, especially the horses.
@@ClaytonVantHoff the cows seem to eat it well enough if we feed it along with some better hay. Last year they cleaned it up well. Yeah it’s no good for a picky horse for sure. It’s an absolute nightmare to try and get rid of though. This is not our property and it’s along the river so it’s land above that’s has it as well. We feed it on another rental property down river but haven’t seen it I. The pasture. We do have patches of it at the home farm but not like this.
Was this before the flood?
@@waynebohannon yes but it didn’t rise to bad here this time. I’ve seen it up in that field
johnsongrass can be killed out if you keep it mowed before it heads out. It grows from a rhizome[root] and you can starve the roots by grazing close and mowing it to death. farm boy from Tenn.
@@waynebohannon we use to have cattle on it and they did keep it grazed down
You got all the Macks! 👍
Short just to recap. I’ll post the update tomorrow
That looked like quite the load for that little old bulldog seems like it handled like a champ
Good to see you guys working on this together, and the skill of gravel spreading in the old Mack 😂
@@jll2k1us Hey! Thanks
Here in Central Texas about 1968 we custom baled hay as a way to move money through our hands. A good Johnson grass patch in the Little Brazos Bottom could yield a lot of great hay. It was most lush and tasty when the head was just about to expose itself. When fed the cows won't leave a straw. When a lot of the plants heads are headed out the plant has lost a lot of the food value. When fed cows will leave the sticks. Wish my H, M. or B Farmalls had cabs on them when i was on the hay operation. Just ran across your channel today and enjoyed your video. Takecare young man
Yes we always say we need to get it mowed quicker than we do, time just gets away so quick and that stuff shoots up fast
