In the manga, Shiro explicitly comes out and says she is the one who killed Gantas class and planted the blood orb in him. They were both experimented on as children, in the same facility,, and Shiros alternate personality was an action figure inspired hero complex where she often reverted to in order to deal with being dissected and cut apart daily.
The reason Shiro (in part because of her alternate personality but also still her consciously) killed Ganta's class and dragged him into the Deadman Wonderland was jealousy - she was jealous he got to live a normal life, that he didn't suffer like she had, that he was happy. This ofc enrages Ganta but he forgives her when he finally remembers crying about being her and how Shiro took his place as the primary patient for the experiments.
You forgot the most important part Shiro and Ganta are somehow related I think they are cousins, siblings or clones I forget I just remember that they are related
@@Devoughn They aren't related, Shiro did look at Ganta's mom as her mother despite the mother being the one who did the experiments on her.

It seems a little funny how the police think a middle schooler would somehow murder their whole class, throwing blood all over the ceilings and decimating literal walls? Uhhhhhhhhhhh.

As much as I loved Deadman Wonderland, that trial in the 1st episode always bothered me
I mean, the _Defense_ pulls out evidence incriminating their client with a *secretly recorded* video of the client
Later it's even revealed this lawyer pulled the same stunt on practically _every_ deathrow inmate in the Wonderland
I know Ganta needed to be in prison for the plot to start, and I may not study law
But this is NOT how a legal system works!
Ganta could've woken up in the medical ward with the collar already on, it would've been just as questionable without feeling this avoidable

I'm mad that this show never got renewed. The concept was pretty interesting. I especially loved the theme song. One of the best anime openings I ever heard, and it's not just because I could actually understand the words.
So a weak looking boy who was near death a moments ago who happens to be the only survivor of the incident is very obviously the one who killed the entire class although he don't seem to have neither the motive nor strength to do so and we should just ignore the appearance of a suspiciously masked flying man that appeared outside the window of class.
There's a lot of underhanded tactics used in this series.

This was the first anime I watched and manga I read, honestly loved it so much I have Shiro's right arm markings tattooed. It started my path into the anime / manga world and I wouldn't have it any other way. Great to see. It reaching more people

1: the anime wasn't that popular in Japan
2: the studio who animated deadman wonderland went bankrupt

The first anime adoption of Deadman Wonderland was not exactly squeaky clean they didn't exactly adapt the whole story there were some characters missing, there were some issues behind the scenes like they couldn't move forward with the series because the manga was on hiatus because one of the book authors was pregnant and one of the animators on the show committing suicide, so the chance of a second season is not likely to happen but still the manga is finished and it has so much potential and an amount that does end on a good note I'm not going to spoil it for you so you better read it yourself if you can handle the blood and violence.

True bro... although I didn't like that open ending, and that's something many mangaka (and writers of course) can't properly do sadly, imho obviously - it's always an objective matter.
Any story that relies on a major jump in logic never sits well. The first episode the lawyer somehow convinced the judge a kid was able to murder his entire class with such fatuous evidence. Not to mention how the entire classroom looked like it was blown up from the window side. Also how is it not public knowledge that this man works under deadman wonderland? And the fact every case he worked on ended with him turning on his own client, inevitably sending them to the same place. Every. Time.

Nah you gotta have a branch of sin. But you don't want a projectile based one. Ganta learned that the hard way. You want a melee one like Whip Wing or Crow Blade. Something razor sharp and lightning fast.
Or you can try one of the blood abilities from Blood Blockade battlefront. Esmeralda Blood Freeze only takes a tiny drop of blood and BOOM! you're an ice master. Very useful for slaying vampires.
Not even JoJo vampires can stand up to Klaus von Reinhertz and Stephen Starphase once they get going.

The funny thing is that realistically Japan probably couldn't get enough murderers to staff an amusement park that huge, considering it's low homicide rate
They just file any unsolved death as suicide, realistically there’s way more murderers in Japan than you’d think

It's a fun ride of a show but hate the beginning premise, the kid is obviously a survivor in his class's slaughter but police investigator's assume the kid killed his whole class? How and why and why assume the kid did it in the first place?
