I had the pleasure of staying in these remodels on my last trip in December. They really are very nice, El Co has brought their standard up and usually have a very competitive rate for rooms. My shower window looked towards the strip, loved that. Wasn't a fan of the wrist keycards...I don't usually wear anything on my wrists and it was a very noticeable annoyance and a bit of a risk since it indicates where you are staying. I hope they go back to cards at somepoint.
I used to stay at the vintage rooms and loved it. Nicely done. Love Siegel's 1941. Great prime rib special at $19.95. Of course you have your food comps😊😊
I stayed last October and enjoyed it so much, I'm going back in august! I didn't like the bracelet so I slid it off whenever I wasn't going up to my room lol
Fans of yours Matt. My sweet husband and myself follow you and are frequent Vegas goers . We got to Vegas 7/17/24 left 7/23/24. Dang, we missed you. Sheila and Greg . Good luck!!

I have never been downtown Vegas and have no desire to go. The fact that they give you a wristband makes it sound like you are in Disney and the room is really nothing special. It’s definitely a NO for me. I only stay on the strip at Wynn, Encore, Venetian or Palazzo where it’s really beautiful.
Give it a try,, totally different vibe , plus, you can interact with the common folks.....I stay once a year for one night only downtown, it's interesting. I then go to the fancy hotel and room .....I usually go in the winter, since most hotels downtown dont have pools or the pools are horrible
Everything is great but the wristband. It's not some kind of festival and you aren't 11 years old. It's a hotel room and you shouldn't have to reveal your lodging choice simply to enter the room, this is important for safety reasons more than anything else. The less the bad guys know about your trip details the safer you will be. A wristband does make it more difficult to lose you room "key" but that excuse isn't good enough.

El Cortez is great! Love the rooms, clean and nice, friendly staff, good gamble. Get comps for very little play.
Love the new room look at El Cort 😊
I like that there is no carpet in the room, thanks for the video
Matt you are the best my all time favorite thanks for taking the time to show us
Thank you for watching!

My hands are too big to do that. I tried! hahahaha
NICE ROOM THANKS FOR THE TOUR
Oh, maybe I'll stay here one day!

Hey hey Matt. Glad you got your offer for Elcortez. We love it there, as you know. Hahahaha. Can’t wait to get back in Oct. 🎉🎉
Looks like a nice room 👌
Room looks nice
Nice room! What else do you need in Vegas?
What are the resort fees there and what do you get for them?

Certainly hope the other resorts don't decide to move towards this wristband idea!! How lame! But the room certainly looks nice!
Having a wet wristband after a shower or swim drives me up a wall. I'd cut it off and use it as a standalone fob. Stupid.
i would really hate to wear this bracelet for days thats enough to make me not consider it for a stay
I get that. It did annoy me a bit initially.
My first thought as well.
As someone who has to wear two different medical bracelets, the wristband is really a deal breaker. All my wrist space is used up.
It did annoy me a bit. I ripped it off once and had to go back to get a new one. In the end I got used to it. If you have them already I get that.

Everyone is different. I never set foot in Wynn/Encore/Venetian or Palazzo. I feel more comfortable downtown 😁
"Interact with the common folks" 🤣

Don't attach it to your wrist. Just use it as a separate key fob.
@@severinjohn Good idea.
