Working at a Makita service centre that has lots of brushless motored machines comming in for repairs, I can confirm 90% of the time it's the controler being the issue. Aside from the field wires being the problem (yours seem to be fine with the 84 Ohms each) there is the odd occasion where the armature is faulty. You could check this with some carbon magnet paper to see if all the segments in the armature are still ok. You could diagnose the controler being the issue here like you diagnose shorts on a laptop. Put the circuit board back on the motor, Provide power to the machine like it would normally get to work and check the controler board with your termal camera.

@@MarcoPolo-zv1ft Well, you go to digikey, find the motor drivers category, filter on 36-SOP and check all 35 ICs datasheet. There are eight of these SX68xxxMx chips, don't know why he chose that one.
May i ask how did you identify it for future purposes? I think it comes with knowledge on motor drivers because most of the time motor drivers has got markings totally different than the IC name.
Appears to be a sensor issue, only way is to try one at a time to find the faulty one.
This is an expensive example of electronics that fail just outside the warranty.
In the EU they have to repair them free of charge for at least 2 years, but our consumer
rights are not as generous.
Hi Sorin there is a lot of DC brushless 310V motors on aliexpress with the same pinout, just find similar RPM characteristics - not expensive.
Hello Sorin. The motor is a BLDC motor sensor-less, i not find that driver, but you can replace all that PCB with a BLDC sensor-less controlller, you can try one cheap for drone. You need to check how they adjust the speed on that pcb. It is possible to adjust with a voltage applied to pin Vsp, you can use this voltage to adjust the drone BLDC contoller. If you are lucky you can match the approximately speed.
It is not sensorless, see on back pcb 3 hall senors.

hi sorin , it's not 3 phase motor it's DC motor with 310v voltage input, you can serch online just write "run Dc pg 310v brushless motor " and you will find small components connected with motor then you can test it. 🙏🏻❤️
I had a problem recently with a Vax Blade4 vacuum. I pinpointed the fault to the motor control board, but like you I could not find any information on the chips or schematics. The motor was made by the same company Nidec as you have there (similar but not the same motor as you). I tried to email Nidec to get some infomation, but their email system was not working. I gave up and bought a new vacuum body for £30 on ebay. Even without the schematic, just the datasheet and where to source it could have been very helpful. Very frustrating at times. I think we all need to start supporting the 'right to repair' movement.
Just checked and sure enough, in the UK the adverts clearly state a 12 month warranty on this unit. For such an expensive appliance that is hilarious, and not in a good way. Even my DREO tower fan with brushless motor has a manufacturers 3 year warranty on it and that only cost £120 ! I hope Clinell get to hear about this video and do the decent thing to rectify the situation.

Just for the records : Vcc (+15v) and Vsf (+15v) need to be present in order for the motor controller to work. This is according to some Chinese patents on air conditioning unit. Previously I copied and paste the website that's why my comment got deleted ?!! Vsf is a safety protection signal for the motor that comes from an optocoupler.

I've used the Xiaomi Mijia indoor machine from Aliexpress.have 3 machines as I have C.O.P.D .Change the filters about twice a year.Oldest is about 5 years then 4 and 3 with no problems.

can you start the motor by giving direct power ? first check the motor to see if it's not dead, then simulate the signal and try starting it from the little control board on the motor itself ... then go for the main board if couldn't find the problem by other two...
I think the chip is an IPM of an inverter controlled dc motor circuit. Just like in the inverter type air conditioner compressor control circuit.

6:26 It cannot be a hall-sensor with only two wires. It can be a reed-tube registering a small magnet. But a Hall-sensor would require three wires.
Wow you really got into that repair. Insane costing unit. Mine looks similar, auto sensing for only $200. DREO is the brand. That's a shame that a chip controller cannot even last 2 years.

Not in the UK they don't. Standard guarantee is 12 months. And his outside of his standard 12-months warranty.

Similar thing happened to my $800 portable AC that died after a year, ie, had to fix it because it was expensive. Turned out to be a blow wire-wound resistor, the last thing I checked, ie, spend days on it - lol -.

Hello, I have a Robot cleaner VR9000 from Samsung. It says no battery but operates in some condition. After replaceing with a new battery It keeps saying no battery. I suspect It Is something on the motherboard. Plus some leds in the panel are lowning brightness (like the have burnt). Is there any chance to repair It? Where should have I to look at at First? crazy price of this thing. just build a DIY air purifier, plenty videos on youtube or buy a simple air purifier from China. Mine was bought in 2021 for less than $20, with the air filter slightly smaller than yours, but still works today. It just does not have sensors
Determine if the motor control is sensorless or sensored ie if there are hall sensors on the board (that are prone to failure from V spikes) I assume components H1, H2 and H3 ARE hall sensors, and go from there, the controller IC is pretty complicated and voltages are no joke (320V+) so wouldn't go near without an isolation transformer.

Hi Sorin, normally ,those motors just need some lubricants on their rotors to spin freely and their drivers work without any failure
I was expecting that you show some oscilloscope measurements on the motor controller IC. Are the 3 hall sensors ok near the IC?
You can find a lot of similar motor on online may be they might use same chip or even work with your device

got a similar. terribly underpowered motor is the problem.
had a brand name version that actually pulled gallons of water out of the air. these ones get about 500ml per day. no good

Its a DC input, PWM controlled motor.
