Make sure you cover your coastline with garrisons, and don't drain all your supplies on the soviets. I make my garrisons 10 widths with engineers and aa, but the new literal game game breaking update that breaks the already broken game, might need to update this strat, and this is if you're not invading the UK. And as for Italy, this is where "don't drain all your supplies on the soviets" comes into play, if they ever invade Italy, and you haven't put your guns down the drain, you can always deploy more and more troops. But that's my take on your situation.

Dont try to save a lot of manpower to make up for losses, if you start invasions with double the strength, you will just overrun them and keep the need for reinforcements low. I am usually on extensive conscription even before invading USSR, just because I need the manpower to build even more troops if I have the equipment ready. You also need some tanks obviously, but I usually cap out at 35~ divisions, 15-20 being ready when the invasions start. You also need them when invading the netherlands, make sure to use them to rush amsterdam before belgium and france are able to reinforce them, it will make invading france a piece of cake. At the start of the game you want to build some civilian factories, very little only and then rush military factories to get enough equipment before the invasion begins. Also, just as important, try to get a lot of factories on tactical bombers for ground support and fighters to protect them. They will help you a great deal in any invasion by supporting troops and bombing forts. Really, don't underestimate them. I did for a long time. With that I usually end the invasion of poland after a month with 20k~ losses against poland having 200-400k on elite difficulty
