This Review of Still Wakes the Deep will not contain any spoilers or anything like that, I will show Still Wakes the Deep Gameplay that has already been released. I will also talk about some of the features that should have been included. I do think that most horror games are just walking simulators and sadly this game seems to be the same for the most part but the story and setting make this much more immersive with how it handles story-driven gameplay.

Still Wakes the Deep is an upcoming survival horror video game developed by The Chinese Room and published by Secret Mode. 1975. Disaster strikes the Beira D oil rig off the coast of Scotland. Navigate the collapsing rig to save your crew from an otherworldly horror on the edge of all logic and reality. Developer: The Chinese Room and still wakes the deep game pass is a thing! I think a bit more seamless cinematic story telling esp in first person kinda proves how well Half-LIfe's formula for story telling in games still works regardless of genre and even after years n years. I mean in a way you can say several horror games can be considered Half-Likes in a way which I see that kinda term pop up for several more new shooters def inspired of it (say esp with Industria which I'm excited to wait for 2 with that). I mean Penumbra, which is Frictional's first outpost of a series before Amnesia, esp referencing it at times. Works even well with so called "walking simulators" which I do enjoy myself (say with the likes of Firewatch, Gone Home, Edith Finch, and famously Dear Esther), maybe it's considered a guilty pleasure within that area? Idk, but it's telling I def like this more immersive kinda method.
I def expect this one to play out like SOMA so this is quite nice to hear what we be getting if I hear, if I want another game to fill in that same niche that is. I don't expect much outta the gameplay anyway so all of this is just fine by me, you're don't want to expect full out 'survival' horror coming to this. I do wonder how everyone will be analyzing the story of it which I think will be quite fun. This def looks like a lot of stakes so I already got the gut-wrenching feeling who will die or not, esp Roy which I somehow fell a liking to him after just looking at a clip of him

Crafting is ok in rpg games but dont need to be in all games.
*touches a preview version.. thinks they are qualified to make a whole game review* "all games with X,Y,Z are crap/walking simulators" only cause you might not like it.. doesnt mean everyone hates it. the problem with this video so far is you are talking about this like "i speak for the people/everyone watching" instead of clearly stating its your opinion. people loved death stranding and its "a walking simulator". "if you hate horror games you might not like this" why would they be here? it seems like you litterly spend half the video not even "reviewing" the game, and just kept tooting your own horn and talking like you speak for the masses and bringing up your paypal.. dude.. people dont come for that for a "review" doesnt even start the "review" until AFTER more than half the video is done. it just feels like you expect a scary/horror/shooter game and not a horror/story based game. and instead of just saying that.. your just like "the game sucks because i expected it to be like X and not a story driven game" ... thats litterly all you said about the game and just fluffed the video to its run time.. jesus.
