    More please, I'm collecting these for when my uppittee piano playing daughter comes to visit her grungy guitar player father.
    They don't have to be long, just enough for me to carelessly through into the air, then slaunter away as if bored.

    Love all your videos, Sean. Especially your sense of humor and the Wednesday listening homework. Thanks for posting piano content again. It was a digital piano vid that first brought me to your channel and I stayed for the guitar stuff. I know you get more views from the guitar content, but I'd love to see more piano, not matter what style of faking it is ;-). Keep up the great work.

    You need to also work out how to fake "that swing", I think? Sometimes you lay it back right (or whatever it is that they do) but it sounds like you're hurrying the second note of each pair a bit, most of the time.
    Don't worry bout the bebop and Coltrane's duduk; just growl along contentedly with old Satchmo.
    *The Goon Show* jazzed up *Unchained Melody* so beautifully, once, that it made some people groan (must have been in ecstacy, surely). th-cam.com/video/XqqNsyHajb0/w-d-xo.html Mostly it swings along quite nicely, but sometimes they drift slightly too much to wayward.

    • @sicko_the_ew
      @sicko_the_ew 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On a more serious note, you might be interested to know that *Steven Wilson* has resurfaced, and his fin has been seen slicing through the surface layer of some otherwise tranquil water recently. That's just an awkward way of saying he's been experimenting with dance music this time. But don't knock it until you've been bitten on the toe by the dissonancethings over the 6:00 mark.
      Mostly you could just groove to this while reflecting on the emptiness of materialism. th-cam.com/video/O_H0NO-Cyew/w-d-xo.html
      This song is a rebellion against coffins like the word "EDM", the phrase, "rock", the adverbial clause, "progressive", and the gerundive, "jazz". (And against emptily grabbing more and more nothing than everyone else, and pouring it into one's edgeless central void in a manner that borders on mental illness).

    kens got a jazz question for you. or better still it might be a better question for la donna, alright you already know that your a hilarious monk but do you still like to be reminded of it like "oh danielson your the cats meow, your so funny and entertaining" now in that same light does a women with great attributes like to be told over and over about her great qualities" i would think not if it came from a Quasimodo like i but from a lovable jester like u it seems as there is nothing you can't say and not get a giggle. stop. must know for my next song d.k oh heres something i did using just the black keys at school, so what your teaching is absolutely true, just lay your pads on any key and you got a song on the piano but it doesn't always translate on guitar. please make more piano stuff Dude!!! th-cam.com/video/caomhkr1oNQ/w-d-xo.html

      What’s the true nature of jazz?

    • @totemkhan6909
      @totemkhan6909 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@seandaniel23 The true nature of jazz is not getting a heroin addiction to make the body twitch and fall over, which you said "couldn't hurt" whilst trying to pretend to be a jazz lord in one of your comments. Also, why would you even want to pretend to be one anyways? That is one of the dumbest ideas I've heard.
      You are insulting modern jazz in your videos... (4:46) to be honest, to me, rock, hip hop, country, and all that is shit. I don't advertise that!!!!!! You certainly shouldn't be advertising your disliking in modern jazz. If it ain't positive, keep it in.
      The true nature of jazz is all about feeling it. You have to have the jazzy spirit inside of you, something you clearly lack, to be able to truly be amazing. You can't fake being amazing. Sure, maybe there are a few simple things you need to know to be amazing at playing jazz. But no jazz is purely the same couple of notes any beginner can play. This video is like saying "if you can play Heart and Soul, you are the oh so holy God of jazz."
      My advice: leave it to Art Tatum. Leave it to Louis Armstrong. Leave it to Ella Fitzgerald. Leave it to George Gershwin. And playing those simple notes you instructed people to play... when people that actually know something about jazz hear that... they will know in an instant that it is fake. Now good day.
