To the girl whose story was told first… being a messy eater can be excusable… but he smirked at you and then BLAMED YOU. That is not okay. I can’t sit here and tell you leave him because I don’t your relationship but he obviously doesn’t respect you in a way you deserve. That was your night. He shouldn’t have been selfish.
Honestly if my spouce to be's cousin came in my bride's maids dress, I'd laugh my ass off and invite her to replace the last min drop out and officially be a bride's maid 😂

First, I LOVE JOY! Second.. the bridesmaid story, if I were the bride, I would have asked her to take a formal picture with me so that I could treasure that memory. That's incredible!! 🤣

The accent story is heartbreaking. My parents didn’t teach me Italian bc they didn’t want me to be confused. I did speak too quickly and had a little Italian accent bc my mom has a heavy one but it’s gone bc of speech therapy in school. Accents are not wrong and I hope schools and speech therapists can realize this. I want my accent back :(
That sucks.
From the restaurant reddit post "He smirked at you. Dude knows exactly what he was doing and took pleasure in publicly embarrassing you. There's a big difference between gentle parenting and just straight up not parenting. Those parents just weren't being parents 🤦
If i had a kid and someone told me their dog had the same name my only response would be “they have to meet!”
The same thing happened to me! Me and a couple other friends attended a wedding of a close friend we all worked together with for many years. We don’t see him very often and I barely know his wife. Anyways, the wedding was out of state and I just chose a dress I’ve had in my closet for quite a while. I don’t remember where I got the dress but when I show up to the wedding my dress is basically identical to the bridesmaids dresses. No one cared or approached me about it but we were all laughing about it. I did feel slightly awkward about it but it’s a story I laugh at to this day.
LOL The look Joy gave King Louis when he immediately jumped onto the back of the couch was EVERYTHING!
When I was at my brother's wedding, one of my cousins showed up in the exact same dress that the bridesmaids were wearing. By accident, of course. And everyone thought it was hilarious! Idk why the bridesmaid was so offended when there's no way that woman could have known a dress she found at a thrift store would identically match

The bridesmaid dress story is hilarious. I don’t understand why anyone would be mad; it was not intentional. Several years after my wedding, my childhood bestie admitted that when she arrived at my wedding, she realized she had on the same dress as my MIL. She went home and changed. I thought that was kind, but not really necessary.

I have a bridesmaid dress from a friend's wedding that I wear to every wedding since. I am not calling the brides to ask. That's rediculous
My first cousin named her daughter the same name as my daughter. I thought it was cool honestly. Some thought it was strange. But that’s an honor that she would name her daughter the same name as my daughter. My kid is 17 and her daughter is 3.

My cousin named her cat the same name as her great aunt. We are a tight knit family so we do see this aunt. My cousin told the great aunt and she LOVED it. Sometimes people don’t mind.

My cousin who I am actually pretty close to just had a baby and they named her the same name and spelling as my dog. I think it’s very cute that they have the same name and sweet because everytime I think of one I’m able to think of both the baby and pup. 😊💛

I sat at a "caveman" family table for a slightly more formal, holiday event (or so I thought). The worst part was when one of the siblings scoffed down their salad, and then dumped the excess salad dressing from their "empty" plate back into the large salad bowl that everyone was eating out of. First course, and I immediately went into FULL STRESS MODE! lol I literally held tears back and then eventually went to the bathroom for a really long time. ... Got back to the table, tried to talk more than eat... I opened the bottle of wine that I brought and survived!

Pakistanifood is BOMB!!! I am boring norwegian, used to bland food. but I fell in love with the pakistani food in my nephews birthday. My 80 year old dad eat gladly, even though he was sceptical as it was new. Whatever he didn't like or was too spicy, he sent over to me. Easy peasy

I never understood why people fight over baby names. Just name your baby what you want and if someone elses baby (or dog) has the same name (or will have the same name) it's fine. It really doesn't matter, they're just names 😝
That being said if someone names their baby "Cheeto" We're gonna have a problem 💪

I bet the man who doesn't like his wife's accent was in speech as a kid and had a really hard time with it and was bullied so he is afraid his kid will have the same problem and instead of it being his fault he is trying to make it look like it's the wife's fault!

Very first story….how could this woman even agree to go to a nice restaurant when she already knew how bad his eating manors are….? He is not husband material! He would teach his kids this disgusting behavior!
Not to mention how manipulative he is.

About the second person
I am Italian and learning English because why not. One of my biggest insecurities and the main reason I struggle to have a Convo with English speakers is my accent and all because of people like your husband... Girl run fast and faster that guy doesn't deserve you at all

Soooo many toxic guys in these stories ugggggh. I kind of disagree with the story of the boyfriend’s girlfriend who lost her child with the same name. The girlfriend has literally no idea that her bf is wavering about their relationship. She probably thinks she would be around forever. As someone with severe PTSD, I’d literally have to break up with my partner over something like that. No amount of therapy in the word will stop the amount of pain of knowing someone is having a child with your deceased child’s name and then having to be around them. If they only have been dating for 6 months and she’s already seen his brother’s girlfriend 3 times then that means she’ll be around them quite a bit in the future too, not just once a year. Plus it’s not like they chose the name for sentimental reasons. Should they have to change the name? No. But I’d feel super weird naming my child the same name after finding that out.
I also disagree in the last one. That boy is 14! He deserves to be humiliated in public for peeping. Common sense should be for boys to respect women. They don’t need to be taught it. If the parents aren’t going to punish him then severe embarrassment hopefully will. A peeping Tom is a peeping Tom regardless of age.

I am willing to try new things but I am more hesitant if I know it's spicy because I can't handle spice well but I would still try it if someone said it was important to them.
I 100% don't agree with forcing someone to eat something they don't like, I remember being yelled at till I was in tears over not eating Carrots because I hate carrots . (don't remember how old I was) But my brother took me to stay at his Girlfriend's dorm and I just remember feeling terrible being yelled at , while she is telling him it's fine . I would never force someone to eat something they KNOW they dislike but the dad refusing because of the child was horrible ..
