All of my relationships have been abusive until i got into the one im in now. Its been over a year now and im still getting used to it and learning the signs of a toxic relationship

I was diagnosed with adhd at 27 or 28. I wish I could say I was functioning but I also have Borderline personality disorder and a bunch of chronic health issues so it's a struggle. Hoping once my daughter is back in school, I'll be able to pick up some momentum. I really want to learn to thrive with my adhd because my 6 year old daughter has been displaying symptoms for a few years now. I need to learn to teach her to thrive. I'm 38 years old but feel like I'm in my early 20s freshly moved away from home even after having lived on my own for 16 years. I need to find a Joy! Your friendship is beautiful. Hope we'll see more episodes with her! 💕 But omg I need girl friends. Single mom with no support system makes it hard.
I really needed to hear the part about ending bad relationships/ friendships. Just ended a 16 year friendship with a toxic friend who I thought cared about me as I did her. I let her get away with so much because I felt bad about her terrible home life. FINALLY a month or so ago, I called it quits. She ruined a very special moment for me and I can never forgive her. I needed her most in that moment and she made it all about herself.

Okay, thank you for this podcast because knowing that someone else feels like they can't do anything when they have an appointment or any waiting thing is sooo validating. I always thought I was just overeacting (I'm emotional), so I never looked into it. After both of you mentioned ADHD etc., I realized that I have ADHD tendencies and I should get that checked out. Damn... you learn a lot from youtube.

I really think Joy and Rachel are soulmates (not in a romantic way), but they both came into each others lives at the right time for both of them and they're working on themselves with the support of each other and are thriving, so lovely to listen to this podcast

Yes!!! I wasn't diagnosed with ADHD until I was 29! Twenty frickin nine! I have to be on meds or else it turns to anxiety then depression. Hate being on meds but for me, not taking them is like trying to function without my contacts or glasses. And I'm super blind so I don't get far without...lol. Ps...this is my favorite episode yet! We love Joy! 🥰🤗
