Brilliant, my journey to school for 3 years 1953/6 thank you. The bus fare was 1/4d. In the morning (8.03?) I would get on at the cove, get off in market jew street and in the evenings walk down to the station to catch the bus home and get dropped off at the top of cove hill to walk along Mairas Lane.
Brilliant! Brought back so many memories of the is road, cycled as, a boy in the 1940's. Heamoor to Sennen Cove on to St. Ives - fish and chips and home to Parc Letta. Camped at Sennen cove some time during those years and vividly remember sliding down sand dunes on a tin tray by the light of a full moon. Halycon days to be sure :)
aprapos earlier post - set out from here in september, 1990 at the age of 64 to cycle to John O'Groats. 1,300 miles in 21days. Raised about £800 for charity. Most enjoyable and rewarding - thanks to all who contributed and helped.
Shame it was such awful weather, what time of year was it? I thought it a bit daft driving all the way down that hill to Sennen Cove then turning around to come back up it again. I wonder how much fuel was burnt having to come all the way up that hill in crawler (1st) gear! I've driven that route myself some years ago. Cornwall is quite bleak and barren in certain parts. I live in the westcountry in South Devon, some beautiful scenery to be had. Our Devon General classic bus running days take in some wonderful scenery on their routes. By the way, you're quite jammy getting that prime front seat position to take your videos.
Fascinating for just the huge slog up from Sennen alone. Great viewing :)

Great 👍 to watch ⌚️ I will always have the time to watch
Lands end would be vastly improved by the removal of all the ugly buildings.
