Adding a removeable lid to a JanSport Rainier external frame pack

A quick video showing you how I set up a removable lid on the JanSport Rainier backpack. The lid adds a little bit of extra storage space, frees up space inside the pack and provides a positive attachment point for items such as rain tarps, sleep pads and sleeping bags.
The Carson and Rainier essentially use the same frame, so I think a Carson Lid would have fit better here and been lighter, but as stated, I wasn't able to find one. The ILBE lid may need more tweaking to get it just right but so far seems to work well enough.

Thanks for sharing!! I´ve had such an ILBE Pack lid mounted to my large ALICE Pack, just for camping and fun. It worked out great! Torsten
