It’s the fact that people really be jumping through hoops to discredit Beyoncé’s talent, career and achievements. If she wasn’t an icon, people wouldn’t feel the need to constantly bring her and use her as a comparison year after year. Like that lady don’t be bothering nobody and minding the business that pays her but every day someone has got something to say about her.

Some of her embellishments are heavily influenced by opera and the skill set she has is also HEAVILY influenced by opera. Though she doesn’t enunciate like an opera singer, she very well has the skill set of one.

Take a listen to songs more than the ones that were played in heavy rotation on the radio, and you’ll see exactly how immensely talented of a vocalist she is. Hell just search on TH-cam where vocal coaches react to her vocal ability and you’ll see just how crazy talented she is. She’s far from just a “pop singer”, musicians and people who actually sing attest to it time and time and time again.

She dedicated one of her biggest award to Beyonce and cried on stage while doing it cause Beyonce wasn't just an influence for her musically, but as a woman and to her black friends in England. That should tell you Adele doesn't see herself in competition with her idol.

I would say Adele is the more inconic vocalist cause she sings live. Beyoncé is iconic but she’s more of a performer and dances a lot and lip syncs to pre-recorded live sounding vocal tracks for like 70% of her live show

Most of the time he has complete control over the questions and even if he doesn't he can still avoid it i mean he's the host. He will always bring up the celebrity's biggest scandal/s. Beyonce has been out twice as long as Adele, has had greater success, her artistry, creative directing ability, vocal ability and performance ability far exceeds Adele yet still people felt it was appropriate to compare the two as if this was a fair comparison. Greater success? lmaoo stop. Adele is the highest streamed female artist on spotify. She gets 70 million monthly listeners, that’s twice as much as Beyonce and her struggle 30 million listeners lol. Adele won album of the year twice, how many times did beyonce win that award? Beyonce gets a bunch of insignificant awards but never anything big. Even Taylor Swift has won Album of the year several times and even she outsells beyonce day in day out. Both artist started their careers at a young age. Both have incredible voices. Both have sold millions of records and have fans across the world. They are both musical icons. For me personally Beyonce has a wider variety of genres in her music. If I was stuck in an elevator for 24 hours I would prefer Beyonce's albums on rotation. 😁

I feel like Adele will last longer in terms of historically. Her music is timeless and so is she. Thats what distinguishes her from all other artists. Most of her performances are her in a fully covered dress, a piano and a mic... I mean that kinda performance spans across generations. It would work 1000 years ago and it will still work 1000 years from now. Beyonce as great as she is is loved by this generation because she is also very contemporary as are most artists.
Well I would say beyoncé has lasted for quiet a while now... 24 years in the game and she's still going at it. i think its saying something that kids from now days are listening to her music from 22 years ago and making it trend so in terms of longevity beyoncé currently definitely has it🤷♀️
Also I really don't agree that performances that consist of just standing there singing is what last longest.. so many of the greats (Michael, Prince, tina etc.) were known for their great showstopping performances and although there are some iconic artists who were mostly recognised for their vocal abilities and not dancing... they were still able to put on a great show that was energetic and powerful which is what makes people love them

I meant in terms of being an icon (which she is) but from the perspective of ppl hundreds of years from now or even before now, Adele can travel to any generation and she will be an icon. The fact that her target audience is not even younger ppl in her own words "ppl in their 30s/40s" yet her music spans across every age group speaks for itself.

Now how many artists could get rid of their backup dancers, cover themselves so not to reveal their body, stand their with one instrument and a mic and still make ppl cry and have the best selling album of the century? I don't think Beyonce could write with the same nuanced beauty and agility that Adele can. Adele's lyrical skills are pretty genius, very articulate, subtle, and cleverly thought out. I don't believe Beyonce hits the same mark

2 different types of artists. Beyoncé is the ultimate pop diva. Adele is more of a singer songwriter and arguably the best one alive right now. Beyoncé dances amazingly and is a great vocalist but she doesn't really write any of her own music. Whereas Adele writes her own stuff and is a great vocalist but performance wise isn't even close to Beyoncé. SO imo its not really a good comparison to even make. If you wanna ask whos more iconic, gaga vs beyoncé is a much better comparison. Even tho now with the acting gaga might be more impressive as an overall icon. Cuz shes now a traditional triple threat with the acting. Even tho yoncé has acted before, but i dont think shes as good at it. If gaga keeps acting and keeps getting nominated for oscars and winning them its kinda tough to claim beyoncé is more iconic.

Beyonce is great B , but she has been riding on the whole polarised US’ blacks vs whites agenda, celebrity husband , huge collaborations etc etc…..Adele on the other hand is pure music, she stands in the middle of the stage and simply sings. She creates music for herself which resonates with ppl. So for me its Adele who is much more Iconic.
I don’t agree. I feel she’s the next greatest performer after Michael’s death and the comments and things that was said about Michael first and foremost needed to be healed and address which goes into Formation. She talk more on Women Empowerment than Black vs White. The only reason that’s still a thing is because they’re actual blacks still dying. So SHE IS AND FOREVER WILL BE OUR QUEEN. Beyonce I feel is amongst many who have politicised the whole music fraternity. I personally feel she is more of a performer, a great artist, But she is no match as a singer/songwriter to Adele. Adele is one person army, No single fraternity has made her what she is. No celebrity husband has helped her. No huge collaborations have made her famous. Her music is universal. So Adele for me is definitely more iconic.

I feel Beyonce is great and amazing for empowering women/blacks/children/elderly etc……but her music is no match to Adele, when she doesn’t know how to write her lyrics and sings like a parrot whatever is given to her. Adele has big sharp teeth and horns,and so many other cool weapons, than just being white like 3 billion ppl, but she is a great songwriter and a much much better vocalist than Beyonce could ever be, no matter how much resources she spends she can’t achieve it.

Beyond this I started doubting her ‘cause she is a terrible human being who would do anything for her success , right from exploiting poor sri lankan “women” labourers in her Ivy park production company to booking whole hospital for her daughter’s delivery, this speaks of her Hypocrisy .

Her one night only concert and crazy popularity shows how iconic she is and she is very humble. I love Beyonce too her runs are out of unmatched but I feel that Adele has had more impact by far.
