- This Is England is a 2006 British drama film written and directed by Shane Meadows. The story centres on young skinheads in England in 1983.

Even during the meeting Pukey doesn't seem too enthusiastic, that's why he got dumped on a country road somewhere for having second thoughts, Gadgets just a simple minded guy who'll follow anyone and Shaun doesn't really know what he's put himself in for, Combo used his fathers death to manipulate him into taking his side.

Shane Meadows is a genius. He has two masterpieces, this and Dead Man’s Shoes, and not many directors can say that. To me Dead Man’s Shoes is the best British film of all time but this isn’t far behind and Thomas Turgoos is a fantastic actor, it’s just a pity he appears to be typecast as Sean. Stephen Graham doesn’t get the credit as an actor either.
