Air Force of Zimbabwe renovates clinic, provides free medical services in Tsonzo

THE Zimbabwe Defence Forces has proved its mettle as a people-centred entity that delivered tangible and high impact people-centred projects in Manicaland in line with Vision 2030, chief among them the construction and hand over of the new classroom blocks at St Charles Lwanga High School, which was wantonly destroyed by Cycline Idai in 2019.
The ZDF left an indelible mark in Manicaland communities through the construction and renovation of schools and health facilities in line with the Vision 2030 thrust achieve an upper middle income economy where the basic access to universal healthcare and education is guaranteed to every citizenry.
The ZDF community assistance week kicked off on a high note with the Air Force of Zimbabwe leading the charge in providing free medical services at, and renovating the Tsonzo Rural Health Centre in Mutasa in acts that cannot be easily forgotten in making better societies.
The renovations at the facility included plumbing, electrical connections, painting, tilling, carpentry, and sewer reticulation, as well as the construction of an incinerator for proper hospital waste disposal. The Air force of Zimbabwe’s medical staff also provided free instant medical assistance to the community, showcasing their peace-time roles and commitment to serving the people
