I have built 4 different transmissions to ur specs n they all turned out perfect. Minus a 48re I built perfectly but couldn't figure out why it didn't move at all. After pulling it n looking at it again we put it back in and same thing. Big dummies we had the transfer case in neutral 😂😂😅

Richard and Teresa, I’m so glad I found you again. I wondered why I wasn’t getting any updates on precision transmission. You actually taught me how to rebuild my 700R4 on my 87 Corvette. I watched your video and played it from start to finish. It’s been running great for two years so far. Thank you so much for the wonderful content and I’m so glad that I found your new channel again. I must’ve missed the change but I looked you up on a forum and found out your new channel. God bless you and your family.

Gotta love the dogs. One starts and the others follow. I have one that will be DEAD ASLEEP...the other will lay by a window guarding the house (anything in sight distance is to be protected at ALL COSTS), and if she growls the other is INSTANTLY awake and on IMMEDIATE BARK duty...and he's a big boy so he's got that REALLY loud bark. UGH. Love them, but wow...somebody walking 3 blocks away and they have to make sure EVERYBODY knows it. LOL.
Neither of mine are shop dogs. I've tried, and tried, but they refuse to come down to my basement shop with me, even if I'm not making noise and just doing some design work, or cleanup work. :(
    Good stuff here Richard!

Hi Richard. Love the show you and your wife (and the dogs) put together for our education and enjoyment. Quick question: I have a 2015 Kia Sorento and want to a trans flush but I'm told that the filter is not accessible. Does it make sense to put new oil in when the filtre is full of dirty oil?

    • @richardteresacricheducatio3542

For a few years now, your videos have provided vital education and information to thousands of viewers!! I've been an ASE Master Tech for over 25 years and I learn something new with every video...namely that I'm positive that I'll save the transmission work for pros like you.
Are the two of you still in the Amarillo area? I live in Northeast Louisiana, but decided over two years ago that when my personal transmissions needed rebuilding and upgrading, I'm going to make that drive. I've been utterly impressed with your professionalism, vast knowledge, and dedication. So, it won't be long before my F150 and me come to see y'all!! I greatly look forward to it!! Keep up the great work!!!

"Too bad we don't have smellavision"... No, everyone would tune out Teresa, because that acidic stench is too nasty sometimes . I used to smell that smell fairly often years ago . lol The first thing I do when I pull a dip stick is smell the oil . Perfect tell of if the trans needs to be rebuilt . I had to just change fluid and filter many times after a really bad smell and black fluid . Sure never works long though . lol You can tell some people anything trying to help them and they'll just ignore you, but the inevitable happens huh ?... Sometimes they just learn the inconvenient and expensive way . :( Another great video you two . :)

This Summer I pulled the pan on my 1993, C1500, 5.7l, 236k miles, 4L60E transmission due to the main electrical connector losing its five retaining clip fingers. The connector was slipping ever further into the transmission and causing intermittent power drop-out issues. Let me tell you, tracing the issue down took a lot of time and effort since it originally felt like an engine ignition hiccup.
Anywho, I replaced the internal wiring harness. And while in there, I installed all new solenoids. The 1-2 accumulator piston and housing were beyond sloppy. I replaced both. The new housing was a GM part off Amazon and the piston was a pinless Sonnax example. I kept the spring at the stock configuration. The new housing and piston really firmed up the 1-2 shifting noticeably. The forward piston also got the pinless Sonnax upgrade.
Some of the other Sonnax goodies installed on this quickie in & out? The aluminum snout for the TCC lock-up solenoid. Careful however, I had to massage the snout mounting boss with a 12" disc sander because it was too wide for the Rostra wiring harness TCC solenoid. The mounting tab recesses in the snout also had to be hand-carved with a Demel. If duplicating, check with Sonnax to make sure the aluminum snout matches up with the electrical harness you're planning to use. I do believe Sonnax now owns Rostra...
And another Sonnax goodie installed? I put in their little metal tab to keep the electrical connector from ever migrating into the case again. Even if all the retaining fingers break off, the metal table mounted to one of the 1-2 accumulator housing bolts will keep that connector plug firmly anchored in-place.
