Oh my GOODNESS!!! I just made the cream of chicken soup mix and it is excellent. We live in South America where we can’t buy canned soup or some of the ingredients. We returned from the US this week and brought dried bouillon and poultry seasoning. It was worth carrying them from Oregon to Ecuador. Thank you very much, Lori. 5+-stars!

I'm no fan of onions, myself. Good for you. Most of my guests never notice it, unless we're having burgers. Onions are for cleansing the air of harmful bacteria. If you're sick use them, but NEVER eat it after it's been used in a sick room.

How are you processing that? Usual pressure times? I haven't run into anyone doing this. I have broth and mirepoix canned to make soups and gravy when needed. I also have carrots, mushrooms and celery dehydrated for future use. Mushrooms aren't normally part of a mirepoix, but they are fantastic.

That is awesome Lori. So very helpful, and you are right, cream of chicken is always the ingredient I am always missing, and I don't feel good about buying and cooking with canned soup because it is so unhealthy.

I agree, so much of my upbringing had a casserole to feed the six children in the family and Mom always made it with cream of ‘something’ in it.
She would have loved your channel.
She grew up on a farm in the central part of Minnesota and towards the end of winter, they all looked forward to seeing dandelion plants because they were so close to getting scurvy. They lived off the land and with not a lot of income they made do. With my Grandmother and Grandfather from Poland, they always made the things they needed.
As I’m getting older, thanks to the Good Lord, I’m finding that I’m getting more and more interested in doing things their way.
Thank you for the videos you produce. They are a big help in showing me that I can do it. It will take a bit of getting used to, but I’m going to give it a big ‘gang ho’ try.
Take care to the both of you and stay safe.
