    This video was absolutely pivotal!! I am a nurse of over 30. years and this has given me the extra push to start an Etsy shop and just like Vina I have a notebook full of ideas. This just made me say take a leap of faith and I did! I just started an Etsy page today! " The nurses gift shop" Lets go dreamers!!

      Same girl. I’ve been a nurse for nearly 30 years and I need a major change. I need to do something that I can actually have more control and it’s what I want to do.
      I’m going to open my Etsy store in the next few weeks.

    This is genius, soo much value in this video it’s crazy. I’ve watched many Etsy videos and THIS is the one 🙌🏽. I had to realize that you HAVE to sell what is trending. If you’re an influencer or have a huge audience on social media ( TH-cam or whatever else) … maybe you can sell whatever you really want… but starting out, just follow the data and sell what has super high search volume. You may WANT to sell pickle stickers, but if no one is looking for it… no sales 😩

    OMG. Thank you ladies for this podcast interview. Fist time listener. This stay-home convid experience has made me realized that I don't want to go back to work and work for someone else anymore. I don't want a "side" business with what I do. I want a business and to be my own SHE.E.O. :-). Thank you for this in depth Q & A session. It really helped me understand how ETSY really operates and now I am ready to dive right in. Miss Vina, I really enjoyed listening to your answers and encouragements and I can see that you have a heart "of gold" to pour into others to help us on our journey to become entrepreneurs through ETSY. Miss Alison, you knew the right questions to ask also. Some interviews are just basic and I'm not one to watch something longer than 15-20 minutes, however, you took interviewing to a whole other level. I had to watch (eagerly) until the end. You knew what to ask. I feel that there's nothing else I need to know about ETSY :-) do thank you. I don't know the course you ladies had mentioned, so could you please elaborate on that for me. Thank you and God bless you in all your endeavors.

      Hey, I'm not sure what these ladies use, but I use and am satisfied with Printful for my Etsy store ThreeGentsandaMeme. Just thought I'd chime in. :) Hope this helps.

      We had to take it down because she got slammed. We will add it again, once she catches up:)

    Great content. When you say you changed the title for SEO purposes, are you saying the title to your business page on Etsy or the title to the product listing on Etsy?

      I think she means the listing tittle and description of her items.

      I’m sorry if that was confusing. I was saying the title in my listings. I try to include a focus keyword in my listing title, description, and tags.

    Great video! That is too bad they took her shirt off her store, that was silly.

    I have learned so much from this podcast. So I have watched it twice and still learned more. I’m amazed with these ladies. And I have learned that I also have shiny object syndrome. Lol!!

    Great to hear such a positive story - this seems to be USA based only re: course info, is this correct?

    Very impressive and knowledgeable. Question: If I have one of my listings as a mask lanyard, would you say that instead of listing multiple chain colors, should I list the chain only once but with other options as far as colors?

      @VinaH1978 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Deb, I would try it both ways to see which one gets you more traffic. It’s only 0.20 cents and you will gain insights on which listing attracts your customers.

      I haven't started with Etsy yet but like Vina says, trying both ways can give you a path. I DID watch another Etsy seller who has helpful videos (JennysWreathBoutique) that said if you give multiple choices in one listing (colors, sizes, etc.) it is easier to get a "Best Seller" label. That might be something to consider when you build your product base a bit.

    for the covid violation, my daughter was hit with one when she was selling masks. Etsy said it was against their policy to tag your products with cornavirus, covid, personal protective equipment etc. Doesn't make much sense because that was a keyword people were searching for to buy personal protective equipment (masks, sanitizer etc) so annoying. but once you remove the words, i had no more problems.

      So how she is selling them now ? Thanks for your comment

    • @adamerrill5402
      @adamerrill5402 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@nadiacazares271 she sold them from mid april to mid may then she stopped. The sales were going good then they dramatically stopped. Then she received the negative reviews about sizing (even though she listed measurements on each listing)

    Just retired and have been watching as many Etsy videos as I can find. This one was great! I commented below about another Etsy seller that has really good TH-cam Etsy video tips too! (JennysWreathBoutique). Trying to figure out a product and getting courage to try. Also just learned about Alison!

    I just had a look at Etsy and I just noticed that all the sellers seem to be from USA. I live in australia and it doesn't look like there's an Etsy for australians to post on. So what platform would be best for me to post my hand made items? The video was sooo inspirational but where can I sell my products. Many Thanks

      You can open an Etsy shop from Australia. There are many Australian shop owners, just filter the results by shop location and you'll find them.
