If yes, does this file that you dropped in the programmer to do the flushing is a generic/universal one for all the Dell devices? I have 2 amber flashes and 1 amber flash after a while. On the Dell website is says that: " If the LED blinks amber followed by a short pause, two blinks, and a long pause, it indicates an unrecoverable SPI Flash failure (MBIST: SPI Flash) and contacting Dell technical support is advised" The word "Unrecoverable" striked like a thunder. I've paid 350 pounds for this mini Dell PC. Last question, If you have an unsuccessfull attempt on the flushing of the BIOS chip can you RE-flush it? Thank you very much for your precious time and effort showing this technick. It is much appreciated
The provided BIOS image is specific to the Latitude 5300 and is not compatible with your system. The chip can be reprogrammed as many times as you wish.
The MX25L25673G BIOS chip is located on the side of the motherboard facing the keyboard assembly, so the motherboard must be removed from the chassis in order to access it.
