- With the simple push of a button and a quick slide of our diy platform bed, this minivan goes from having seating for 7 to having 2 nearly double-sized beds, as well as a large sleeping space for another kid (or in our current case, our 72lbs larger-than-us fur baby)! Take this bad boy to a campground for a last-minute simple getaway or black out the windows and sleep in stealth mode on the side of the road somewhere - we’ve done both and it is perfect.

OMG, your camper looks so cozy! When I was a kid, that's what I liked the most -- everybody together and snuggly! Even the puppy has a spot! That must make traveling all around so much more fun. Storage looks real handly as well. Enjoy your travels!

Why not build dividers into the bed frame so you just open the top reach into the Ben and not mess with separate containers under. I think going forward you would enjoy one of these tents that fits onto of your van. They look cool. Y’all have lots of fun!
love the ingenuity of this. this is a family that, you can tell, cares more about the quality of the time spent together outside the vehicle (and even inside), but the fact that you didn't immediately splurge on a giant van and just had something that could take you to where you'd be provided family enrichment and quality time means you're on the right path! you save money this way and maybe in the future that money can go towards a trailer or a bigger rv or something else entirely, but the fact is that you care about the right stuff.

Love the set up. I made a 4 ft by 4ft platform with storage under. I loveyour idea. Getting level bed plat form is key for comfort. I'm using 2 jumbo beds as a full size bed. Very comfy

Wow! What an efficient, yet convertible space! Lol we are an older family, with a smaller dog.... but far larger and taller teens. I could see a set up, easily using your layout for two adults... lol I have one son whom is far older and and earned his Eagle Scout status long ago. My youngest son completed all of Cub Scouts, and after close to a year in a newly established troop of Boy Scouts.... left to pursue other sports........ I was raised in a family of all girls.... yet we camped/traveled as a family all the time! My husband and daughter (middle child, after a gap and her adoption...), they are sadly not into outdoors

Genius storage of foil inside paper towels. Could take it further and tuck baggies into foil. The potty lid also fits 3 gal bucket. Going potty in the woods, should dig a hole 6 inches deep first, same with urine disposal in high frequency areas. Take toilet paper out with you. Especially if using wet wipes. I wonder if I can find a spot for my folding table? Wish it was adjustable like yours. Don't worry about bloopers. More watchable and real. Tfs.
There's a company called heat shield. If you give them the make and the model and the year of your vehicle they make the window coverings that fit perfectly! They just pop in and come out easily! I have them for my Honda Odyssey that is a 2003 the best $175 I have ever spent!

-How wide is the bed platform?
-Do the lifetime tables sit on the bed platform or do they sit on the floor?
-It looks like the bed platform would have to be 44" wide if the tables sit on the floor. If that's the case, was that wide enough for two people?

Hey, this is awesome. This is what I am really looking for my future minivan camper. I have a quick question. Do your family and dog ride a mini van or do you drive the other car for people? If you use only mini van, I wonder how they can seat in the packed min van. I worry about safety.

Thanks! So far so good! And they are really good about their warrantee and we also got the extended bumper to bumper warrantee just in case! :)

We had our food in a separate bag and just kept that in the front when the beds were set up. The kitchen bin fit below the platform bed, as well as the camping stove

How do you keep the two back chairs while sleeping ?
They fold down into the floor. That’s why we chose the Chrysler Pacifica! They’re amazing!

What do you do about car seats?
The video shows it, but we have the car seats in the seats when driving (normal) and then the seats fold flat into the ground and we store the seats on the driver and passenger seats when the beds are set up
