I have to say, I’m going crazy trying to calculate a budget for my trip in May 2025. I’d love to know more about the grocery prices, but this is the most informative video I’ve found so far. I have no idea where to find more information! Thank you globetrotting gang 😮💨😅
Hi and thanks for watching our video! Happy you found it useful. Now I am here sitting and thinking I should’ve put more price information. Another tip, if you are doing a rental is fill up a suitcase with dry foods. We bring the kids cereals, oatmeal, potato chips, rice, pasta, coffee, etc which all cost less where we live, and then arriving at our destination we go and get meat, eggs, milk and other refrigerated items. Just an idea. Have fun on your trip to Curaçao. If you haven’t yet, go watch our full video: th-cam.com/video/irO_xv2a7UY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=E1SzRkIwrRX6F5QS
@6:03 That isn't just any kind of cake. That's a "bolo di kashupete" (If I remember correctly) And it is made mostly with cashews. Plus it's very laborious to make. And don't even get me started on "bolo pretu" where the fruits and nuts are soaked in rum overnight. Both of these cakes are mostly meant for special occasions, like a wedding.
Oh bolo pretu must be like fruit cake here. My mom used to make it and it took so long for the soaking of the fruit and nuts. Thank you for watching and your comment. Now the price makes more sense. 😊☺️
Good question! I should’ve mentioned it. Ang are Netherlands Antillean Guilder and today 1 equals: 0.56 USD. So that would be 41.62 USD for that cake. 🎂
An absolutelyyyyy lovely video❤
Thank you very much! 🥰🥰🥰

This is probably a stupid question but I have to ask. 🤦🏽♀️ $74.99 (ANG) was that US dollars? If not what does that end up being in US money?

❤ The pleasures of not doing all inclusive.
Exactly! All-inclusives can be fun and relaxing, but you often miss out on many real non-touristy spots/treasures…
❤❤❤
