Louisa, you were the one who got me into midwifery. It was lockdown, I was in year 12 and had no idea what I was going to do at university/as a career. I was browsing youtube and one of your midwifery student videos came up! I don't know why, I hadn't been watching anything midwifery related (was probably looking at something medical) and out of interest I clicked. I had no clue you could do midwifery at university! I thought it was a nursing school thing where you needed lots of life experience. As I watched more videos, I became more interested, researched midwifery and although i denied it at first, I had a real urge to midwifery despite not really knowing why. I had no interest before, I had thought about nursing but it never really appealed to me, and my original goal before sixth form was to do medicine but I couldn't end up doing it due to circumstances. I never knew midwifery could be a choice. A whole new world was opened up to me! Now I sit here as a third year student, loving the degree and preparing for job interviews. Thank you so much. You started off the butterfly effect to get me where I am now, the spark to get it all going. Without your videos randomly appearing in my feed, I don't know if I would be doing midwifery. Although in a small way, you made a midwife.

Thanks!! It is but I think it's the same in most places. Especially because at my hospital its both online and paper records. So sometimes it's a lot of copying information over
